More weed farms/bring back more drugs

So the whole  Reason that more labs were introduced I feel is to give more of a variety and make it harder for police to know what is open and not an gice criminals multiple diff locations. Now I like this I still feel like only very limited places to pick/grow weed  Still causes a bit of an issue my suggestion would be too

 

 Add more weed farms

 Have the ability to grow your own weed in a house would require scripting but it was teased previous and drug updates

 Be able to grow weed anywhere on a mountain? Or be able to buy fertilizer to make the ground you choose fertile to then plant? 

 

 

Now the 2nd part pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease let me make mushrooms steroids and other previous drugs that give you drug effects with the recent update. Or let me import maybe?

BIG +1 for growing indoors
 

I understand that Cooking indoors/secluded personal locations was removed due to the fact that it caused players to not interact with one another for extended periods of time. My recommendation would be to make the time it takes to grow indoors significantly longer than at the labs, maybe an hour or two or even longer. This would allow you to choose the avenue you want to take to grow. Grow at the labs with significant risk and quick turnaround, or inside a property with no risk but a time commitment. This would make it more of a passive grow and make sure players are still interacting with one another. Add a limit as to how many plants can be growing inside to balance it. As well as adding items needed to grow inside. For example, grow lights, fans, thermostat, dehumidifier, etc. Do not need to add a crazy amount of items, just some ideas. This would not take away from the RP in the same way as private cooks did, as there is no need to sit there and watch a plant grow in a secure location. This could also add additional RP for LEO and crim regarding the raiding of said grow spots. Could also add the items needed to grow onto the import list. Thus providing even more RP for both official gangs and smaller groups, as there would be a interaction needed to buy/sell said items. 
I firmly believe this addition could enrich rp opportunities for every group involved, aswell as providing solo players a safe way to grow.

Hold up.

1. I highly doubt indoor growing would be permitted for the same reason cooking isnt permitted. People just afk in their properties does not make an active server.

2. Arent all of the original growing locations for weed (sealabs,holeinthewall,braddocks,island etc.) Dont they still grow weed regardless of if the lab is active? So why does it matter if there are different labs active if you can still just gather the weed there your point dosent make any sense.

An easy work around for that. Is to make the marijuana growing automatic, like plants in labs. BUT like suggested above. Make it last hours for 1 plant instead. That way people plant and head out to do other stuff while waiting for the plants to grow. By like setting a timer

I believe there are multiple viable options to change the way plants are currently harvested/grown. Whether that being able to  grow inside, on the side of a mountain/vegetated areas or even just more labs to grow at would all improve the current situation. It does not matter if the grow spot labs are active or not, there is constant need for plants which saturates the very few spots to grow with tons of players. This only benefits larger groups/official gangs that have the means to hold the grow spots and PVP. From my understanding the server is trying to move away from that, as to why this suggestion makes sense. If players want to sit inside and watch plants grow for multiple hours they can be my guest, all that is going to do is take away from their RP experience. As I tried to state in my initial suggestion there is no need for this though. With private cooks you had to constantly water the tables, thus making players have to sit there and watch the cook. With my planting inside suggestion, all you would do is plant the seed, come back in a couple hours and there would be some plants. Why would players sit inside AFK when they could be out making money or cooking or doing quite literally anything else, as well as having no need to be there and watch the plant?

True but there is so many players who roll for plants at all times of the day, there is rarely plants in most labs, increasing spawn locations would be a good idea imo.

+1 to this mostly just because I think more locations would increase the odds, newer crims or smaller groups could pick plants without immediately being robbed

Yeah im not against it at all i just wanna make sure thats what we are asking for, for more plants to spawn in more locations on the map, which will increase the abundance and availability of all drugs, which should by the laws of economics, lower the sell price for all drugs which use sweet mary jane as a base ingredient.

Or should we just increase the ammount of MJ available with no negative consequences?

This is crazy too, the fact there is more labs than there used to be enticing more players to labs, but the same amount of plants to go round isn't balanced out, drug prices are fine as they are, some even deserve a price raise to make them more worthwhile for example Meth and Herion which nobody makes because too many ingredients too much hassle.

sorry i added a quick edit down the bottom there. as i said im not against it but what we are asking for is a flat out buff. and im fine with that.

Personally im ok with more weed spawn locations, when private labs got removed, nothing was added back in to fill that hole in crim economy, yeah more labs were added but they are on a rotation so its less more content and more just more locations for a change of scenery. 

But I would rather if crim got buffed it would be by adding a totally new mechanic, instead of just buffing an existing one, which is more lazy and less fun because honestly labs and drug production are already done to death and whilst its a charming idea that smaller orgs and solo crims will benefit, there's no rule that says the bigger orgs cant just roll more labs in their rotation. this was the initial hope of the lab rotation, that smaller orgs would benefit. hasn't really went that way.

I would rather a new mechanic which is actually easily open to smalls and solos was developed. like chopping or house robberies. the ATM theft mechanic that was added is hitting the right notes but in its current format 9/10 atm thefts end in getting beat.

As someone who is running an organisation that has chosen to stick with one niche which is weed business, therefore by default dealing with only acquiring Plants and rolling Blunts, I can tell you that this suggestion is good if the current lab growing rates are split for couple of more spots that also would allow planting. Otherwise there is literally 0 need to add growing spots, because from my own experience I can tell you that you have all the options there to be able to gather good amount of weed plants, either it would be by rolling labs and picking or growing.

I feel that this suggestion is coming from a place of when you spend too much time grinding instead of roleplaying and during that grind time you cannot gather as much plants that you would like, therefore it makes the illusion that there isn't enough for everyone to go around.

Well first of all all the weed spots are in the north, so people have to go north for supplies and on top of that from what I've seen is that most of the times the active labs are actually in north, not in the city.

I agree with the general idea, but I don't think private labs or grow areas for plants should be introduced. It would enhance roleplay if there were more plant labs beyond the current five—Sea, Braddock, North, Chilli, and Island. While I'm not suggesting a massive increase, adding just a few more labs, say three, could help. This would get rid of the issue of competition during peak times, especially for solo players who struggle to keep up when larger groups dominate the existing locations.

well, making free money not being there, makes rich people like me richer and poor poorer, if I have that many places, and I can grow indoors, I can make more money than you, + its actually that much money printing and causing inflation, that causes the next generation to not being able to keep up, like, today's 3 G's are like 2.5 million, I knew someof them where 1mil to 1.5 mil max.
so you need to think about the gen that's coming in in about 2 years, that makes a huge gap, pretty much like in real  life atm XD

I love the idea but I feel more like roleplaying on this server and get the dopamine surge when the gang that has came to take over the lab or the weed farm I am at doesnt want to rob me because they like me.

Also some gangs dont even want to do the hard work and risk getting shot(or getting in a shootout) by a rival gang and so they use people like me to buy plants off of me.
 

With your suggestion if anybody sees someone planting in a spot they will just go to another spot nearby(or wherever) and all gangs will be friends until end of time. And that is BORING

To add to the suggestion of being able to grow weed anywhere. Maybe have it so that drugs have quality levels, the higher the quality the more it sells for, and depending on where they were made, the quality of it would vary. For example, if you grow your own weed in your backyard or inside your house, it would be a lower quality of the weed naturally grown at the public labs; this would still encourage people to go to the labs and still allow for another way to grow it.

I been waiting for 3years to grow weed in any place, i dont. Think its ever comming. They want us to sit in a lab waiting to get clapped by  gangmembers, so they can convince themself that its RP, 

i can see the server population decline in the last 3 years”rp boom aside”

they force us to be more in the open but the benefits are very minimal and for a selected few, i think if the server doesnt get it together it will die out in 2/3 years for sure

+1, 2 years ago devs leaked pictures of a new weed system but it never came. I’d love to see a new way to get plants or an add on to what we have already. Along side that maybe fix the plants at island? it can’t be insanely difficult to map the weed plants to grow correctly according to the sloped terrain but at the same time i’m no dev and could be wrong
