Remove script that makes peeking with weapon
heelsoul replied to David Coast's topic in Game Suggestions
My viewpoint - it needs to be removed until its fixed, then whenever it's not as buggy and weird, then add it back. -

I agree with the general idea, but I don't think private labs or grow areas for plants should be introduced. It would enhance roleplay if there were more plant labs beyond the current five—Sea, Braddock, North, Chilli, and Island. While I'm not suggesting a massive increase, adding just a few more labs, say three, could help. This would get rid of the issue of competition during peak times, especially for solo players who struggle to keep up when larger groups dominate the existing locations.

How to make Law Enforcement Vehicles Fair and Balanced
heelsoul replied to Demonmit1's topic in Implemented Suggestions
Hmm, then I don't agree. I believe, the whole point would be that, if their vehicle is damaged during a pursuit, then they cant just take out a new one, but thats how I see it. From where I stand, I would add on that if the tire is popped then they also cant take out a new one. -
How to make Law Enforcement Vehicles Fair and Balanced
heelsoul replied to Demonmit1's topic in Implemented Suggestions
I completely agree with this +1. As someone who mainly plays crim but has also spent time as a cop, I've noticed that vehicle swapping during chases, especially high speed, gets done too much. It's common to see police switch from one STX to another when their vehicle is damaged or loses a tire mid-pursuit. This gives the fair chance for criminals to use that to their advantage and escape, knowing that the unit won't easily rejoin the chase. While I understand that in real life, officers have to report even minor damages to their vehicles, and that might not be practical for a gta roleplay server, there could be a compromise. For example, implementing a script that prevents them from using the same vehicle again for a set period, say one hour. This would not only balance things out but also encourage officers to switch things up and use a wider variety of vehicles instead of relying heavily on the STX and Scout all the time. -
Sounds good and doesnt seem like a difficult thing to introduce, unless it is but yuh. +1

+1 If you had a reason to shoot to begin with then there shouldn't be reescalation

Very simple, +1

As a crim, I still think that car is just something for PD to change up, so they arent stuck in a jug all day or shinobi. It's a good car, seems balanced. Most maxed sports cars - Jug, 10F, Paragon leave it in the dust.

Freelance Job: Graffiti Removal Services
heelsoul replied to RustyOsprey2's topic in Game Suggestions
In a way I agree with @Quietthecutie , but we got to trust the integrity of the players. I am not sure how much they actual cost, but I bought one for $700 I think. Maybe it could be like $50 per graffiti and the timer be lower around 20-30 seconds. Just make it in a way where the calculations make sense. But the overall idea of a cleaning job would be a +1. -
The whole problem is that you can basically do no work and keep a full track on peoples vehicles. The purpose of this thread is, if you actually read my original suggestion. To remove the whole autolock, repurpose it into a manual tracking thing, which could be cool for PD. It takes more skill, is more realistic and more fair then having a script do it. I've noticed that every time a suggestion gets made and PD go into this defensive position "AGH CRIMS COMPLAINING AGAIN", it makes the immediate assumption that all of our points are bitchy and dumb. Is it difficult to have an open mind and actually think about our concerns? People still do ask for adjustments for crim things, if you were to look in the suggestions tab you could see multiple threads about the last thing that got added - GRAFFITI. Which I also think could use some adjustments. It has the potential of providing a lot of cool roleplay scenarios, I even thought of an idea where Civilians could get a new job in cleaning/janitorial services. "When criminals get something new added for them, no one says anything." this is a people problem, if you cant voice a suggestion, then there isnt a purpose for this forum category. I don't believe you could name a few things that are OP for crims and need changes immediately. (talking script wise) The reason why people dont complain as much about stuff being added for Crims is because, we don't get ground breaking stuff that impacts actual gameplay. @Spizor

@Bala Why is it always PD higher up making these decisions? Obviously they wont see the POV of what problems it causes for crims and it would be biased even though you claim it wouldnt. It seems like you are missing the point. IT IS AN AUTOLOCK its literally aimbot with a camera. It should be manual. How does that make sense in an IRL and videogame fairness stand point? Not sure what you meant, but I didnt drop any campfires or do something childish like that. Every time it comes to discussions like this, it seems like the developers/modders are always sort of arguing the point that what they did is completely fine and everyone else is wrong. This is biased and you should listen to the complaints of the community. Obviously it isnt balanced if I made this post today and already 10+ crims support my claim. An overall solution could be actually getting opinions from all sides of the community, all though I know its difficult, but keep an open mind to suggestions. For your information, I did go under like 3 bridges and was going through red parking and driving around the highest buildings in the city. EDIT: Quiet just posted sort of what i said.

@Bala @DontSniffSugar Cool now that I know that it doesn't lock through tunnels its fine. My evading skills aren't really in question, since I lost all of the ground units like 2-3x and yet a big spot light is over my head always perfectly centerred, if I were to swerve left or right at some point, I should go into a dark spot, which could make me get away, but having a lock on the vehicle is like having aimbot. It literally doesn't go out of sync for even a second. Just because the "co pilot" is using it doesnt make it any better. In all of those examples Sugar provided the car isnt PERFECTLY centered and there could be human errors made. (I believe they are all manually controlled.) Thats the whole problem. Its not about the fact that its unrealistic for having a camera, its unrealistic that there is a script lock, it should be manually controlled. As I said I think its cool as shit that PD and SD have this, but it should have some realism and shouldn't be on a SCRIPT AUTO LOCK. EDIT: Just re-read Sugars message, it is crazy to assume that crim cars are faster then PD. Any PD Jug or Shinobi would've got me. It is mostly the problem that cops stack in their buffalos and jugs, so it makes them lose really hard, which more so isnt a crim issue. If they want to make it SOOOOO OP for cops to easily get criminals, then what even is the incentive of crims doing ANYTHING WITH PD? You shoot, you lose ; you run, you now also lose.
-
@Thang Well my fault, if it isnt like that, but it doesnt make a difference, because how realistic is it to have it 100% LOCKED ON, the whole time! It should be someone manually controlling it. Even further more, it only takes a second of you being in sight and it instantly locking on again. The overall camera and zooming in part of the script is cool, but making it manually controlled is the literally the only way to make it realistic.

@ash816That is fucking crazy, it isnt ever fair, because it locks on through tunnels, i've never seen that before and may I add. I NEVER KNEW ABOUT THIS CHANGE! like mid chase i was super confused, i literally said "how am I always perfectly in the middle of the light, its like they have a lock on me." this explains a lot and its crazy how going through a tunnel they are still locked on. This caused me to lose a fully kitted out SMG and 12k in fines + 2h 30 in jail. Ridiculous.
