  1. Originating from the suburbs of San Francisco, Cobras originally were a group of high school friends, run by the young Iris Alverado. A small group of car fanatics, the group stayed within the law, working out of their parent’s garages. As the Cobras gained notoriety throughout the Golden City, they also gained enemies, one of those groups being Octane. A similar racing group, Octane was led by one of Alverado’s childhood friends, Elias Holmes. As the two aged, Iris and Elias grew further apart, eventually despising each other throughout their childhoods. Their adversity grew as they further developed their groups, the feud between Cobras and Octane becoming well known. Yet, everything changed on the dark evening of July 14th, 2015. Octane had created a treacherous track, one that would weave through the most populated streets of San Francisco. It had been planned for months, Elias having taunted Iris to beat him, her taking him up on the offer. As the racers gathered, they set off, city lights illuminating the streets. It only took seconds for cops to be on their trail. Police cruisers rushed to their cars like flies to a dead animal, swarming them from behind. Panicked, some racers had fled quick enough to avoid the police, yet Iris and Elias had stayed on top of each other, head on head to finish the race. Approaching Portola drive, Iris gained the lead, pushing her Elegy through the pouring rain. Taking a tight corner, she lost traction, her car spinning out and crashing into a light post. Frantically attempting to start her car, the distant police sirens grew louder, as well as the roar of Elias’ Massacro. Over the thundering rain, she could hear him shout, “GET IN!” And that’s where it all began. Elias and Iris became incredibly close friends, Elias eventually leaving Octane behind to join Iris on her adventure to expand Cobras. Reminiscent of the adrenaline they felt racing through the streets at night, 12 on their tails, the crew decided to delve into less legal forms of racing. As they aged, Cobras evolved into a small, organized group of racers. With only twelve members, Cobras engaged their community with legal car meets as well as racing. The club had remained in a positive light with the gangs of the city, their meets a place of neutrality. As much as Alverado and Holmes attempted to promote legality, the group rathered having fun over staying within the bounds of the law. Near late June of 2020, the group became hostile towards law enforcement in the city. Supervisors in Cobras had been fired from their jobs, frequently being targeted and charged by the police. Much to her dismay, the group began to purchase firearms and alliance with other gangs in the city. Yet, Iris and Elias attempted to keep the reputation of the group high, the public unaware of their activities. After five years of hosting races throughout the Foggy City, the SFPD had enough. The constant street racing had resulted in countless accidents, civilians frequently injured. With active BOLOs for Cobra cars, members could not even use their own vehicles. On August 31st, 2020, the crime suppression checks began. Hot cars that had frequently been raced were indefinitely impounded, members torn out of their cars and searched on the streets. The crew wanted to fight the police, yet Iris and Elias refused. Gangs had offered the crew membership as well as access to heavy weaponry, yet the two again, declined. Intent on staying as legal as possible, the club planned to stay in hiding, until the knocks came. With police at their clubhouse door, the crew knew it was over. Escaping through the roof access, most members were able to get into a car and evade the police. Catching a ride with another member, Elias and Iris escaped to nearby Los Santos, renting out a cheap motel room. Unbeknownst of the status of other crew members, the two have been lying low, planning their next moves. Currently, the Cobras are still trying to get their footing in the new city of Los Santos. Short on money, the they hope to retrieve their old vehicles and discover a new headquarters that will keep them hidden from law enforcement. There goal is to host car meets and racing within the city while inviting anyone to race to show there skills, keeping a constant flow of street racing throughout the state. The Cobras maintain few members, preferring to keep a few organized members. Inviting anyone to come and race as long as they are respectful and willing to learn. The group operates more as a council, less as a gang. The President works with the Vice President and Supervisors to organize events as well as make decisions. The President is in charge of managing relations with other groups and gangs, as well as overseeing all events. The Vice President works with the President and Captain to organize events as well as make decisions. The Vice President will work with supervisors to make sure that events are being planned and there is no internal conflicts between racers. The main goal of Supervisors is to meet people willing to race, as well as organize and promote events. Supervisors must bring something unique to the table, they must be willing to dedicate themselves to the group and be just as active as the President and VP. Trials are Supervisors in training, usually shadowing a Supervisor to learn the group dynamic. The rank is quite a difficult one to earn, trials rarely being recruited. Racers are the people who are not in the crew but they are known to be racers and make appearance to events, having a passion for racing. These members can be from any group, they do not need to be a cobra. Anyone is open to racing and willing to learn is welcomed. The first goal of Cobras is to recruit new supervisors as well as search for past ones that may have fled. Secondly, the group hopes to find and establish a new headquarters that will keep them hidden from law enforcement as well as other gangs. The owners hope to find a quiet location that contains somewhere to park their cars as well as modify them. The Cobras next must buy and modify race worthy cars. They also hope to meet people around Los Santos, staying neutral or positive with gangs throughout the city. After gaining presence in the city, they hope to organize races and car events, including racing for money and racing through the city at night. If races are successful and community interest is high, Cobras would like to recruit more general members. The end goal of Cobras is to become the go-to crew for street racing, with organized events every few days, as well as casual racing. Always be respectful of fellow members and racers. Race fairly, no pitting, ramming, or cutting ahead. Remain neutral/positive with other gang members, or civilians. Official Cobra races must be approved by the President and Vice President. Any changes must be run by the Supervisor crew. Drag or street races that involve city tracks may never be run during the daytime. Never stop a race for the police, a decent driver can lose them easily. A minimum of 25,000 experience on any character is required to join. Activity is required. Inactive members will be removed unless a higherup is notified of a LOA. No admin punishment in the last 30 days before joining. Exceptions can be made depending on the punishment. Follow all ECRP server rules. Failure to comply will lead to your removal from the faction. Provide top quality roleplay at all times, including, yet not limited to interactions with police, medics, and civilians.
  2. The only time you need a /do is when you are performing a powerful or forceful command ( /cpr, /stabilize, /heal, /drag ). Currently how MD RP works is that as you said, /me looks over, /do what would I find, then they say /my leg broken. After they say injuries we can /stabilize as we know what treatment we are going to be performing. After that we can do our /me would take a gauze pad out and put pressure over it to slow the bleeding We do not have to do a /do success but the other party should do something in response like /do the bleeding would soak, if they do not respond within 20-30 seconds its automatically a success. Personally I use sound effects with my RP and engage with the injured people I come across, most of the time people tend to respond in VOIP with certain sounds like crying or acting in pain. I think it is heavily dependent on how the medic RP's as well to get other to engage. I think that changing the consent just makes it easier for us to just do our rp without any more input from them about the actual injury because I have been talking to more people and telling them that RP doesn't have to stop once the /stabilize command is finished. To implement this is definitely harder said than done because one people don't like medic RP because they just want a free revive so it is also on the injured to put effort towards RP and not just do lazy RP. We joke about broken legs being the only thing we treat but it really is the only thing that we get. Also this,
  3. This and the Diamond Casino is a player owned building. But its also super expensive to own a legal casino
  4. 1) They have to push an in game mic button and TS so they are always talking IC 2) A potential change to fix this is make certain 900 freqs the TAC Channels since all 900 freq iirc are private to only government factions. You could /bindradio and use those as TAC freq. I never understood why this isnt a thing.
  5. This currently the "Los Santos Emergency Services" teleports you to in front of Pillbox MD, this used to be the main hospital were everything was but as a medic, we can not get back to Central MD. I think that this would be a nice QOL because we can't get back on duty without running across the state.
  6. BIG +1 Along with this I think it is a little insane how a walking animation is 1000 credits when you can use multiple walking animations to change your RP in different situations to make it more interesting and allow for more character development. I mean sure you can keep them paid but I don't think they should be near 1000 credits, maybe 500 at most.
  7. [Eclipse Roleplay] Beginners Medical RP Guide By: Puzzling aka Matt Tezla The reason for this guide is because as someone who has done medical RP on this server for over 7 months the medical RP has dwindled down to /do broken legs. This guide is just going to be suggestions to improve your RP, these are not finite things OVERVIEW If you ever need medical attention, call 911 on your phone and ask for the medics. Try being descriptive when telling the dispatch what your problem is, and keep your description in character. Saying you are dying is wrong, as you technically don’t die, just black out. Saying you are injured also doesn’t give the medic a lot to work on, so try to be as descriptive as possible in the phone call about your wounds. When the medic arrives, tell them your injuries in a /do when asked. It’s a good idea to think about how you’re gonna word it, maybe even typing it out beforehand. Pay good attention to the chat, as the medic will ask for a lot of information and permissions, and they need your input! After being transported to the hospital, thank your medic and don’t hang around the hospital drop off area. CALLING THE MEDICS! When you dial 911 try to make it as sweet and simple as possible. Just be aware that we really do see what you say when you make a call! It shows up on our call list and it helps us understand the situation. Remember that if you put anything OOC in the calls like “I died from a glitch” or “I got bugged and killed” we will close the call for it being OOC. Everything in the call is IC information and we use it while coming to a call. If you are bugged put in a /report 2 and if no one responds just RP an injury and do some sort of RP, medics are not just going to /stabilize you or just heal you. THE MEDICS ARRIVE! When a medic responds to your location the first thing they are going to ask you is the following in some sort of way. Medics all have different RP but it will always end in some sort of "/do what would I find" This is the part where you are able to respond with a /me *Injuries* OR /my *Injuries* "/do yes" or "/do there would be no injuries" is not a valid response! RP YOUR INJURIES! You are able to respond with anything that pertains to the RP situation that caused you to be injured! Please remember if you want to do any sort of GrossRP you need OOC consent from the medic and anyone around according to server rules. When going about what you want to RP for your injuries you can not lie in /me or /my… there is no reason to do it in the first place. We are here to have fun so if you get shot don’t say broken leg it doesn’t make any sense. Examples of some valid injuries /my neck is broken and is unconscious /my legs and legs would have shards of glass sticking in them /my leg would be broken and bleeding /me would have been laying in the snow and there is now visible frostbite all over his body /me would have a large gash across his forehead that would be bleeding Examples of non valid responses /do nothing is injured /me would not be alive /do yes /do would be dead The first thing to do is to think about what got you injured in the first place, if you get smashed by a car sure you could have a broken leg but you can RP multiple broken bones, cuts, and bruises. There are a bunch of different injuries, you do not always have to go super in-depth but you can always RP different body parts and injuries. Examples of some valid injuries responses for a car crash /my left leg would be fractured and would have shards of glass in his face /me would have a fractured hip and a broken arm that would be bleeding /me has a severe road-rash on his leg If you want to only do broken leg you can always add more to it such as: /my leg would be broken and it would be sticking out of the skin /me has a broken leg that would be bleeding heavily Gunshot Wounds If you were just in a gun fight and you have gunshot wounds (GSW’s) please say what GSW’s you have and where they are located on your body, you can make this up depending on what you feel like RP'ing Instead of doing only: /do GSW’s You can add more detail such as, locations of the gunshot wounds, if there are bullet exit wounds: (S was supposed to be a 3) When a medic does the treatment on your GSW’s you do not always have to say yes the first treatment they do, if a medic tries to slow bleeding on a GSW and you were in a big gunfight, you can respond with something along the lines of /do the bleeding would be soaking through the gauze Please remember that DeathRP is no longer a thing and you can not RP Death or deny treatment forever! These are just a few examples of injuries but please try to think about the scenario that originally got you into the injured state and try to make realistic injuries, you don’t need to know all the bone names or anything but just think of common injuries if you are just starting to RP! Other kinds of Medical RP Besides just basic script driven injuries you are able to RP something related such as severe car crashes and the LSEMS has a Fire Department so you can RP that kind of thing and get into awesome RP like the following which allows for more in-depth RP Another type of RP that MD has is the Advanced Medical Division which is surgery RP. This kind of RP can be used with any sort of injuries such as gunshot wounds, severely broken bones, along with anything else that you are able to go into surgery for. There are also plenty of other divisions we have such as lifeguard, CRU, Air & Rescue that you can all RP with to make your time and the medics time more enjoyable! All in all, medics are here to RP with you, we are not here just to taxi you from the injured state, it is another kind of RP that you will encounter a lot while playing. Try to make the most of it because people become a medic to RP injuries more than just broken legs! Try to change it around every once in a while, and be responsive as we require your input for the RP that we do! I hope you learned something and will try some new things while you enjoy Eclipse RP! Have fun and thank you for reading
  8. Im super excited to keep reading these updates! Valerie is an awesome character and does a lot in the city. Great story so far keep it up
  9. I hope to see some new additions to the story! Some juicy RP and an awesome story
  10. BIG +1... Drug labs are not really used that often
  11. Hmm. I don't know what to think about this... Even after the first time I interacted with y'all
  12. I was looking for the suggestion but I couldn't find any about this. I think this would make 100% more sense if medics were able to drop-off at the Upper part of Pillbox MD This would also make complete RP sense because this hospital is in the middle of the city and both entrances should be available to receive patients.
  13. I saw this post from 2018 and I didn't want to bump a dead post. In the game there is already a pilot license that you can give out if you do /suspend I am not in favor for public aviation, I think that would be a horrible idea due to desync and people trolling or whatever, that would be an entire mess that I wouldn't want to deal with as someone who does MD rp. I think it would be cool that if you were trained whether in PD/SD or me in MD to have the pilot license in your /license rather than just RPly having pilot wings on your uniform. Basically you would have another license when you did /license.
  14. Question. I love the idea but do you think this would eliminate the chance for compromised freqs to matter? Like if you say you are going to x lab or doing x thing over freq and its compromised that gives rp and people can get caught. If you send only important information over texts that can't be taken by other people you lose that whole chance of getting someone else involved. (Sorry on phone)
  15. Date and time (provide timezone): 9/23/2020 11pm CST?
