  1. Just because you're taking L's doesn't mean every criminal is. In fact, the ones not taking L's probably love the fact you tying up police resources.
  2. This would give bank robbers a chance to gain a hostage in a more organic way.
  3. I like it, but instead of rules/consent, what if everytime you get sent to pillbox, it could just give you a delete/character kill option. that way denial of medical RP won't be an issue because you can only KC if you scriptly die/fall into a comma.
  4. I don't want to get to far off topic but a shoplifting command would be neato.
  5. +1 I literally have to resort to downing people who don't respect taser RP because unarmed damage is enough to threaten to my characters well being. Maybe disable melee while /cuff'd as the amount of times officers are downed due to "Kicking" is unrealistic.
  6. I think this is a Happy medium. I hate to play devil's advocate but I actually love chatting people up on Dale at the impound lot lmao. I generally-Would prefer to chat someone up at the impound lot than arrest someone + The people are usually happy to see an LEO which is a pretty uncommon interaction elsewhere between criminals and cops.
  7. Store robberies have one of the highest success rates of any crime in the city. When executed correctly, Law enforcement has an extremely slim chance of catching you, unless they happen to check the store you are in the middle of robbing. I totally get not wanting to fix something that's not broken. I think Store robberies are one of the things LEO's and criminals would agree function really well on the server, and dare I say, is balanced. I don't want you to think i'm trying to ruin store robberies, I see them as super successful RP and would like to see them payout more with the cost of higher risk. Maybe we could throw a safe into the back of each store, so while 2 people grab cash, 1 holds the gun, the 4th could drill a safe in the back for a bonus payout. I'm actually with you when it comes to getting rid of private labs, and I think making story robberies better (without messing up what we have) could make them the new cornerstone of criminal activity/Cash generation.
  8. Just a side note- I must not have been clear enough about this suggestion. The idea would not be to add a 2nd Cashier to all stores, Or even the most commonly hit ones now. My idea revolves more around giving a bit of additionsal RP risk/reward to stores that are typically hit less/Considered a lower risk. (stores in the mall, Palamino ) Or even a certain type of Store would RPly make more sense to have more than one person working (Clothing stores perhaps) If its not clear, 2 Cashiers would obviously facilitate double the take of a normal store robbery.
  9. I just want to say since this post was made the event of 10-15's acting "Extremely busy" as soon as they are arrested and want the process done "faster" has skyrocketed. And I understand the OOC frustration. but if you want to complain Icly about how I'm wasting your time and tax dollars, pissing and moaning like I need to be in an IC rush to save the time of someone who's shot me, I've got an interrogation room and 45 minutes of questions for you.
  10. +1 a garbage disposal for the kitchen would be nice as well
  11. Nothing revolutionary here, adding a 2nd cashier to certain stores will make them more profitable to rob. I'd say ideally adding a 2nd NPC to stores less often might increase traffic in otherwise untouched stores. The necessity of 2 gunmen will create a more formidable force when the police arrive. I'm not a huge fan of shootout RP, but the current state of store robbery RP is a bit stale and this might be an easy way to spice things up a smidge.
  12. Imma need that Vinewood building for the Vice bure.... Detectives Bureau.
  13. The average legal makes between 4.5k-8k an hour max. It is common knowledge that someone grinding the bus job makes more than the chief of police in an hour. I think the reason this change was implemented boils down to 2 reasons. 1. The type of RP promoted by a solo lab isn't something we want more of on the server. IE: A single person Rping alone in a closed/cut-off area. and 2. The amount of money they print into the economy has inflated it massively. The current meta for a starting criminal is something like: grind cash for a 1g/Lab---> Grind cash for a Chop Shop-----> Grind cash for guns and Widebodys. I don't think anyone wants the grind to be harder, but as much trolling as the roadworkers do, I'd rather see half the server rolling around in Vetirs rather than have 100/200 people online sitting in a house filling a water bottle. I think things that can be bad for the individual criminal can be good for the overall criminal meta.
  14. +1 one of the only ways to stop people from changing the frequency at gunpoint lmao.
  15. I've never wanted a faction to become official more than yours, you guys are hilarious.
  16. +1 ,Also Change the rules to allow FOV mods making 1st person more playable (especially while driving)
  17. +1 big fan. interrogations are awkward because the chair are unusable props.

    Cops 2 OP

So, as far as the gunfights go, I'm of the opinion that it's realistic for the cops to have a greater amount of firepower than criminals. In fact it's standard to have a patrol rifle in most departments where I'm from, whereas only a fraction of the LSPD carry riffles, and most are swat. But I'm also of the opinion that the majority of shootouts are avoidable with better planning, at least ones involving PD. IRL, plan A is rarely shooting at the cops. Personally, and I know I may be a Blacksheep in this, I'm 100% for paying for my own cruisers Kevlar etc., because as it stands, the only things you can really spend you money on in PD as it is, are: 1.Super cars you need to drive the speed limit in. 2. big houses to put the cars in. 3. businesses to generate more cash for 1 and 2. I'd also love to be able to drive my own squad car home and park it at my house.
  19. I actually like the idea of opting in for a life sentence. as for forcing people to face life sentences for their crimes, it's taking away a lot of what they've worked for, and denies them access (or at least massively inhibits ) at type of realist progression. That'd be fine id I thought playing in DOC as a lifer was as good of RP as being an LEO, it's really not right now though, and after criminals finish getting polished up with updates I really hope DOC gets it's attention, be cause prison RP CAN be fun. That's an extremely sweet spot to try and hit, As realistically, being in prison should be miserable, But on an OOC level we want people to enjoy their time in DOC, we would ideally have them leaving thinking "well I took a monetary loss but at least prison RP is entertaining" I think we should set a felony/conviction threshold,75,100, After that JB should launch a case (If it decides to do so) to see the person permanently imprisoned upon their next felony(or immediately depending on the outcome of the trial. The trial to have someone imprisoned for life could involve have jurors decide the fate of the defendant (leaving opportunity's for jurors to go missing or be paid off). Maybe if the prosecution losses the defendant gets to commit another 100 felony's before JB can try to imprison them permanently again. Ton's of RP could and should revolve around something of this magnitude regardless. BUT I think some sense of impending doom, no matter how far off, could do wonders for how crime plays out, and ultimately prison sentences.
  20. This command is the source of one of the most blatantly non realistic and common things that occur on our server, 24/7 mask wearing. And lets be honest, the mask situation has been argued up and down, but its hard for me to avoid the simple truth that the vast majority of people wearing masks aren't wanted for crimes, or even actively participating in a crime that would warrant a mask, they're wearing a mask to avoid the fallout of people using the /alias command as a way to remind themselves who they do and don't like. The /alias command is a pure 100% OOC quality of life tool and it is miss used to an extremely high degree. The range for which you can see the alias, the way it can be seen through closed car doors/windows and the fact that this is an ability the average human does not have, it has also outsourced any sense of simply remembering someone naturally ( IE: actually remembering them) to the command itself. So a few ideas Remove the command altogether- I know, In your mind your thinking "how am I going to remember who everyone is?" You're going to actually have to remember them, what they look like, and who they are, like real life, some people will stand out and be easily memorable/recognizable others will blend seamlessly into the backdrop. Remove /Alias commands made 2 hours prior to your death. IE: you die you forget your killer alias. Make /alias names wear off, IE: A month or so after /alias the name reverts back to a player number. Make /alias a completely OOC function, to be used to help identify one another, but create a command to allow others to /alias you ( similar to /frisk approve) How many times have you seen someone you had /alias'd but had no idea how/when/where you met them? isn't it a bit PG to say "my character would remember, but I don't" The /Alias command is more powerful than we give it credit for, the fact that it shapes so much of the servers behavior, in my mind, means it is TO powerful.
