  1. Regardless, does it not ruin RP a bit to see more RVs than all other vehicles combined on these lots? Seems there should be SOME risk (no matter how low with the current 2 hr despawn) when having a mobile home?
  2. Every NCZ lot looks like this: And it's getting worse. How many of these RVs have tables in them, also breaking the rules? My bet would be a not insignificant amount. Many real cities have restrictions on where RVs can and cannot park. Alternatives: RV park in sonora desert where players can pay to store their RVs Just hide your RV normally, there should be some risk to having a mobile home/drug lab
  3. You can drive a bus through the bank and DM 10+ players... The potential for (very obvious, and easily punishable) rulebreaks doesn't seem like a good reason to not support something
  4. Value is recuperated over 50 hrs (meaning you break even at 50 hours....say you make 10k/hour and with this item you make 11k/hour, it would cost 50k not 500k). With new robbery rules this coudl be considered a decent investment.
  5. -1, I Think asset taxation (and better bank valuation of current holdings) at regular intervals is the best way to keep the economy in check. Anything 'super grindy' (and 100s of hours is super grindy) makes this feel like runescape more than an RP server. Perhaps 5-10 hours to reach 'max efficiency' or whatever would be enough incentive. Another suggestion would be to add items that modify job output (good fishing rods, good hatchets, etc) whose value would only be recuperated after 50+ hours of performing the job
  6. Absolute nightmare to sell vehicles, especially fri/sat/sun. Dunno if I agree with this suggestion but something must be done, perhaps another high end lot (SE of the city? Would add some more RP to 'deal hunting' as well) Another alternative would to just add 4-5 small lots with 'any price' goes throughout the map that can fit say 4-10 cars each. I think the vehicles being physical present does add quite a bit to RP (vs navigating through menus) and atmopshere of the server and should not be done away with
  7. Just to follow up: https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=39688 I am surprised that this isn't gaining any traction, but it seems the community does not see a need for something like this.
  8. Property values for tax should be simply delimited by # of gs, not for sale price (as then tax evading 1$ sales would be even more common). If you don't play for a month, or a year the tax would be removed from your bank account (and you can set this limit yourself, how much tax do you want to pay before you stop....afterwards say another 1-2 month leeway period before the gov takes over) Don't get hung up on the details, as those can be ironed out. Property ownership needs a nerf, and scriptly controller business ownership (gas stations, conv stores, etc.) need an even bigger one.
  9. Due to what reasons? It introduces a cost to owning many properties and letting them rot, allowing the gov. to take over them (bringing down house prices due to a large amount of repos) Adding N more houses/properties today is a bandage fix to the problem. What happens in X months when 800 players is the norm? Continue adding more and more, while letting unused ones sit unoccupied? Property tax ((weekly)), and players allowing to set a limit on how much of their money they are willing to sink into taxes if they take an extended leave. Once the gov auctions them off, the proceeds go to the negligent player.
  10. There was a purge of unused properties some time back, which led to a gold rush essentially. I don't think we need to introduce a significant amount more properties, as at all times there are some 1/2/3 business/warehouse properties available for sale. What I would like to throw as a different suggestion is property tax, and if a property/house is not used for some time (falls x behind on taxes, a percentage of it's cost) it gets auctioned off or put back on the market with a sliding price. Also introduces a bit of a gold sink (Scriptly business should be very heavily taxed as they are essentially printing presses for cash currently)

    New Vehicles

    +1, elegy needs some competition!
  12. Too many people go AFK, poker timer that is visible and auto folds and/or kicks you from the table if you exceed it. Also remove /afkmath while at poker table, let the aforementioned timer take care of it
  13. +1, and potentially introduce larger drawbacks to death (can't play the chracter for x hours for example)), so that players actually don't want to die instead of what the case is now, where it's not really a big deal
  14. Looking over reports it does not seem completely foolproof, it seems the general consensus is, scam happens, scammer sells/flips the shit or doesn't return to town, IC PD Investigation is unable to do anything.
  15. @CBullet Afaik cops are no longer 'trusted middlemen', and the few middlemen with good rep on the forums seem rarely on. Bank contracts even with /do are not enforced by admins. As it stands as far as I am aware there is NO system (for however high a fee) to trade assets for assets.
  16. The 10-20% fee would be paid for at the time of trade by the parties trading (which one of them or how they pay it is up to them) The player responsible (PD member, whoever) for carrying out the trades would be responsible for valuing assets fairly accurately, I don't think being off by even as much as 30% would be a huge deal one way or another, and he could even be given instruction to overvalue (to increase tax benefit) when there is any doubt. As it stands there is no way for players to trade assets safely, and when you enter the realm of 1m+ more complex trades become more common (this can be seen in the refund request forum, cash + drag for a comet retro, etc.) I know myself, as an up and coming businessman/flipper this would be a service I would use regularly (at least until my IC rep catches up to my actual ethics) EDIT: also could open RP opportunities to bribe the person to undervalue assets, have him subject to audits, etc. EDIT 2: Person responsible for 'middle manning' the trades would be subject to a guidebook by which he must value assets, this can start fairly simply, with static values for 'rare items' (drags, sultan rs, other discontinued or non dealership obtainable vehicles) and simple equations for properties based on neighborhood, 1/2/3/4g, standalone or not, external building potential, etc. I am sure a reasonable guidebook could be written. The person responsible for middle-manning can then add additional notes when needed to any trades for value modifications (i.e. 20% more due to good view or some such), which would provide RP opportunities for bribes/lowering trade values, which then can be audited.
  17. Scriptly/player IC support for asset trade, where players can trade homes/properties/cars/cash for other homes/properties/cars/cash, with a steep fee (say 10-20%). Currently there is no in game support for these sort of trades, which leads to many bank trades/scams/etc. and are nervewrecking for both. This can also be another department in the PD or other government faction, and the trades can be managed by a member of that faction (i.e. not always available, may be a pain to wait for them to be in town, etc.)
  18. Need to seriously buff crim RP opportunities Perhaps trafficking of illegal but highly desirable cosmetic items (Ivory statues, famous paintings) that can then be sold icly to other wealthy players? Doesn't matter what, just need more. Chop shop could use a buff in payout now as well with the car change.
  19. Perhaps we can add an additional feature to make free (quickly perishable, within 10mins OOC) food/water in your home on the oven, and this oven also has a chance to explode (much lower than drug lab) Also nerf drug lab explosions chance Also properties for sale need to be transparently marked whether or not a lab explosion was here
  20. Properties for sale should transparently say whether they had a drug lab bust This can affect values of (generally 1g, remote) properties by upwards of 50-100k. An entire market of shady property flipping (selling marked properties as unmarked, or vice versa) will quickly emerge, and the beginnings of this can already be seen in the real estate section of the forums.

    Poker Queues

+1 Plus add more tables Hell, adding even one headsup table would be huge
  22. Let's fix poker as well (current table defaults to high card over everything, even when that is not the rule in poker)
