Howdy, Simply put, this isn't something we're willing to consider amending into the rules as roleplaying a mental illness in and of itself does not constitute as a form of offensive roleplay and it's a stretch to consider mental illness RP to be offensive if the person is not actually portraying an offensive display of said illness. If anything, roleplaying a mental illness can add more RP opportunities to various spaces on the server such as LSEMS' CRU division. That being said, there's no point in asking for OOC consent to RP being mentally ill if it's not being done in an offensive manner. If someone's RP makes you uncomfortable, separate yourself from the situation. Archived.

Hey, This was brought up for discussion around the same time as this post and the discussion led to the conclusion that we do not feel a need for this as there are other multiple pre-existing routes a player can take to get help such as making a forum thread post, making an in-game report, etc. Apologies for such a delayed response! Specifically covering this topic; (Updated) Bullet Point #1: OLD: No illegal activities can be conducted in private groups on life invader, such as sharing radio frequencies used for criminal activities, requesting backup, and selling/buying weapons/drugs. NEW: No illegal activities can be conducted in private groups on Lifeinvader such as requesting backup and/or selling/buying weapons/drugs. Clarifications (Lifeinvader): Point #1: After the relaunch of Lifeinvader we as a staff team wanted to reevaluate the rules to ensure that they are updated and fit for the current state of the server and the roleplay environment that we aim to provide on Eclipse Roleplay. After discussions about removing this point fully or keeping it as it is, a compromise was made where we believe it is in the best interest of the roleplay environment to keep these interactions in-game rather than on a platform that anyone can use whilst not actually online on the server. Hello, Any banned player is able to create an appeal to attempt to return to the community and respectfully, it is not our job to tell them they are allowed to appeal; they are the ones that need to take that leap. We uphold a strong stance on reasons such as (but not limited to) Cheating, DSO, and Severe OOC Toxicity, and those players will remain banned without question. Anyone who is banned for anything such as a DM, NRP, etc is able to and most likely has a chance at appealing depending on different circumstances surrounding their appeal such as (again, but not limited to) time and sincerity; but of course, that is all judged on a case-by-case basis per person and per appeal. It would not be healthy for the server for us to mass-unban those who have shown a clear disregard or a lack of understanding of the server rules to be allowed back without going through the proper avenues we have set in place to ensure that they have actually learned from past mistakes and now understand the rules to the point that they will provide something positive to the server rather than cause a headache to staff and other players with their conduct as they did to get themselves previously banned.
