Hello fellow guys/girls/traps, i come today with a topic i've noticed has come more and more hot over the past weeks and has been an outstanding issue for a long time in my opinion. I have sat on both sides for quite a long time now with the cops and robbers nature of the server. I spent just over a month and a half in LSPD, and have the vast majority of my playtime on a legal character. Therefore, i'll start off with the legal perspective; I found really no issues on my legal character. Rules only very rarely play a part in the RP, meaning that before joining PD i had one clean ass admin record. I found when coming into PD specifically that i was suddenly having to be more aware of the rules persay, and put simply i just had to fineline things to follow very specific rules that had a tendency to change. Still, for a long while i entered into the mentalility that lots of PD (Less common in DOC/SD) share, which is just a win over all mindset. I would regularly go into gunfights, well aware OOCly that i loose nothing from this gunfight. This lead on several occasions to me and the majority of the faction to head on into situations insanely outnumbered, and 9/10 times this was not arisen as an OOC issue or as a rulebreak. Not to mention, the fact was that i faced criminals all the time that have to put hours and hours of effort and money to have the fight, only to be gunned down by someone who respawns, goes into a locker and refills. Hell, you dont even have to pay for your GPS and radio as you get em for free. Now coming onto the Criminal side from my POV, i originally entered the server on a criminal character but grew very bored of the "clap clap" mentaility and moved over to my legal. Around 5-6 months of being only on a legal character, i went back out and made a new character and started from scratch with the idea of becoming a full fledged criminal. From the moment i began interacting with other big groups of criminals and RPing more on the illegal side, i realised just how inbalanced it is from the get go. As a criminal, i had to again go over every spec in the rules as in nearly all gunfights, it would result in /b chatter or forum reports. This is still true to this day, and while i, myself am guilty of these things, it just goes to show one of the knocks that criminals are faced with before they even do anything IC. Next, i have what this forum post is about, PD. I will try as hard as i can to not do anything to slander and disrespect the faction as that is not the point of this post, i just want my points to be made clear from what i've exeperienced being both in the faction and against it. Want to fight PD? Alright. Each of you put 30+k worth of guns on the line, 6 hours OOC in prison time, with the reward for actually winning and outplaying being a . The simple observation i had is that PD have a 150+ (Plus SD which is 100 odd more if i remember right) member faction, unlimited free weapons, double health of criminals, free vehicles that are faster & better than almost any car a criminal can get, and on top of that they have alot of intricasies to the rules that heavily work in their favour in a scenario featuring a potential rulebreak. TLDR? I think Law Enforcement on this server on general is very overpowered, and there are a hundred and 1 ways to nerf them without changing much RP and making it so criminals can stand a chance. Expecially since each criminal faction may only have 40 members, now is defo the time to see some nerfs to PD, and i'll add that in my nearly a year on the server now i have not seen a single nerf to Law Enforcement, but have seen plenty of Criminal balance changes. LEO Nerfs: - Lootable weapons - Only a certin amount of weapons can be taken from lockers, and the budget actually has to be managed to accomadate the amount of weaponary. - More clear rules or clarifications for LEOs. ( As a crim, i can't ram a Ingot (4 door saloon) in a contender, but a cruiser can boot me off the road while im in a Kamacho? o.O ) - A limit to the amount of members a legal faction can have. Numbers difference right now is a bit much. - Lower prison times, on no planet is it fun to be a full time criminal and spend 6+ hrs in prison at 1 given time. At the end of the day, this is a discussion, so i'd like to hear from all of the community what your take is on Law Enforcement on the server. I am more than happy to make an entire suggestion thread for things the community may have in mind. Again, friendly reminder that this is not meant to target or slander another faction, but instead to be able to talk about how both sides feel as i can say personally i'm lowkey getting bored of spending hours upon hours in prison and having to fight a faction i gain nothing from, but are paid to fight me.

+1, i think the main thing that could be improved is the incraments, not really nice to have a 1k difference between a near 50%decrease in salary. ( 1000$ - 500$ )

I would rather just see more options for developers and staff members to get feedback from faction leaders and experienced members on things they think are issues in their respective areas and things that can be done to improve them. Rather than having testers, which i must say seems more of a thing to prevent bugs than anything else, have options for people to give feedback and requests too the developers, as this latest update has shown crystal clear the lack of communication between what the community wants and what the developers impliment.

+1, although i will say this "make an IA report !!!" attitude has been around for a long time. But then you have to think from a cops POV, they have to all day long deal with people who just ask for supervisors and complain even though they have done the crime that's been complained about. Would be nice to see more encouragement from FM on displaying good roleplay from PD, like most other factions.

"New Start" After weeks of contemplating, Aki chose to make a move. She decided to leave her Family behind, and enter into a new Scene she had been watching and curious about for a long time. Even in her first days, she was impressed with the Structure & Discipline that was valued throughout the entire of Dojin-Kai. This is something Aki had longed for in her previous Family for a long time, but she recognised due to her inexperience in Leadership she was unable to give the harsh mentorship required to make her plans a reality. Luckily, the Shelby's already had a strong connection with Dojin-Kai, so when Aki decided she would like to be a part of it she was welcomed with open and respecting arms. It took a little while for Aki to adjust to the new lifestyle set out for her, but with the help of fellow Members she began getting a hold of things very quickly. As each situation passed she came more Pleased with the standard that she saw, and the operations that were done. Tray and Aki even found themselves in an interesting situation up on chilliad labs, with a member taking a wrong-timed nap they chose to stay behind on top of the hill and deal with LSSD while waiting for the member to wake up so they could escape with everyone else. Aki had had countless run-ins with Law Enforcement up until this point, so she assured Tray everything would be fine and began thinking of a story for the Officer, complemented by a hard poker face. With their Weapons tucked under the seat in Aki's car, they began to be questioned by the officer on what they were doing at a "drug" ridden place such as this. Being the resouceful person she is, Aki chose to ride with an interesting story that the Officer couldn't refute... "We are up here dogging, it's a free country" Somehow this story worked, and Aki & Tray were sent on their merry way once their fellow members had woken up. Atleast it will make an interesting one for the scrapbook she thought. After these events, things went reasonably quiet so Aki chose to take a nap. When she woke up, she was asked by her Kyodai if she was ready for a ritual that all recruits partake in, the Sakazuki. Aki knew very little about this tradition, but she trusted her Kyodai fully and entered the Dojo in high spirits. Aki and her Kyodai had a long conversation while sat in the Dojo, mainly pondering on their lives and what they had done up until this point. Aki listened well and respected everything her Kyodai said, and the life he has lived. With their spirits held high, they both cheered for the Dojin-Kai and downed their shots of Sake. After this shot, Aki began to feel light headed and requested to lay down. After doing so, she completely passed out and began to traverse the depths of her own mind. During this time, Aki spent a long while looking into herself and the things she had done up until this point. She recognised that she had made mistakes, bad choices and everything of the sort. But one, single thing remained a steel beam in her mind... "I have no regrets." She woke up to a comfy pillow on her head and her Kyodai sat near her, paitently waiting with his legs crossed. He then helped her up onto her feet, and both Teacher and Student bowed towards each other as a sign of pure Respect.

"Calm after the Storm" Aki had taken a few days of rest and relaxation, where she spent the majority of her time at the poker table learning to play with the big boys, and hunting animals, and a few humans. She made a return by organizing an arms deal with a known contact. It was arranged on Aki's terms, and at the right price everything went smoothly. Although, this didn't stop Aki from striking a menacing pose while awaiting the contact to receive the delivery of the Merchandise. Meanwhile a Horde of eastern european Rats arrived at an unidentified location and began attempting to rob a Family member in the middle of the street. They were swiftly disposed of with pleasure, by Aki sat at a vantage point, picking them off like it was no big deal. https://i.gyazo.com/338664789431e455ec9317cde7827782.mp4 The next day lead to what was becoming a familiar sight; Aki headed over to The Source requesting a shipment of Suppressors & Extended Mags, as she wanted to give her Family something to play with during these quiet times. As always, Business was done smoothly and swiftly and both parties left with exactly what they needed. Aki then received a lovely present from her cousin, Benny which was delivered with the help of Andy. She took the new whip all over Los Santos, noting that it somehow felt nostalgic even though she had never driven it. Luckily Aki only sustained a broken shoulder and some minor bruising from the accident, and LSEMS rushed over to help her out. While recovering at home, she still took off the sling holding her arm into place to Grip her newly aquired AK-47, posing infront of her mirror and smiling with excitment at the next oppertunity to pull the trigger. "Rough Times" The past few weeks had taken it's toll on Aki. Over half of her Family members were either Disposed of for actions against the Black Hats will, while most had left on their own terms, being displeased with the current state of the Family and it's affairs. Though, the Dispair of recent events was quickly replaced by Hope found in an unusual place. Throughout the whole of these rough times, the Family High Command did not falter at all. If anything, the recent Conflict ended with High Command being more tight-knit than ever before. "I live for this Family, i will go out in Flames with it if forced too." Were the words that echoed throughout the remainder of the Family. These times would not spell the end of the Shelby's, but the beggining of a new, stronger and more respectable organization than ever before. In the meantime, too add insult to injury, Aki found herself beggining to cook after recent events had cost her Dearly. This cooking session was firstly interupted by Aki being sent to what is known as "Hell" https://i.gyazo.com/19f89b3c01714664c22bfa1d128a1a03.mp4 After her 2 hour trip to hell, She came back to the apartment ready to work her ass off to make the Bank for the Family stronger than ever. 10 Cocaine in, she noticed the roar of an odd engine outside the Apartment and the sound of some disgusting, eastern european voices she knew better than ever. It was some Detectives with the LSPD, scimpering around neighborhoods looking for more children to Abduct. Aki with her pride on her sleeves and a .50 in her hands, challenged the Detectives crimes and opened fire on them. The result? -$150,000. Word has it that when Aki recovered from her injuries, she was pissed mildly unhappy to see that even more of her money would be burnt at the hands of Pigs. Later on it came time to face some Issues ongoing with other Families. First on the list, was what was thought to be our friends, the Aztecas. The meeting cleared up some things, while also highlighting alot of issues. Aztecas high command were stern but polite, and informed Aki that during these events, lots of 1 on 1 beef had been created between Azteca members and Shelby members. It was agreed upon that this is something that can be dealt with on a 1 to 1 basis, and does not show the Intentions of the organization as a whole. It was quickly realised that as an organization, they held nothing against the Family (Despite raiding our HQ several times), and this was something that Aki was extremely suprised to hear, but it lead to a thought of relief. It was also made clear that any Respect for the Family was lost from members of the Aztecas in recent events, and Aki accepted this to be a consequence of the Family's actions, while realising that many other Organizations would share that same sentiment. She informed them of restructuring and change within the Family, and stated that the respect they had previously had would not be asked for, but earnt back by the Family's actions going forward. +1, would be nice for clothing stores to be unique, and could even open up the possibility of if they're player owned for the player to be able to choose the types of clothing they would like to sell.

"Movement" Aki had endured an extremely stressful few days. With war taking ahold of the city, it was chosen that the Family would not play a part in it. As a consequence of this, all Members faced 24 hours of hits & disrespect from the gangs we had chosen to stand against. Aki always and only wanted what was best for her Family, so she gave the call that no retaliation would be taken, and work would be put in after the war ended to regain the respect and neutrality they had once wanted. "Now is not the time. We need to be earning money, numbers and allies" During this hectic time, Aki chose to get into some more business with the Source. She sent out the text, grabbed a briefcase filled with hard Cash and headed to an unknown location chosen by the Source. -x- -x- With each deal Aki came to trust the Source more, and this meant she would show her gratitude by sharing some Intel on recent events, and the Family's next moves. She accepted and welcomed the Source becoming a large part of her master plan. Later that day while some Family were chillin' and fishing at one of our usual spots, when the LSPD rocked up in force for no apparent reason, claiming that we were "tresspassing" on property that no one owns. Aki laughed in SWAT's faces as they stood there attempting to find any reason to harrass and imprison Family members. They shall pay in due time... -x- -x- The next day, Aki again met with the Source to share some things hanging over her mind regarding the Conflict, seeking some advice. The pair sat and watched an amazing Sunset while sharing wisdoms, advice, and some jokes. Aki entered in the conversation extremely stressed from the events going on and the effect it was having on Family members, but the words from the Source helped calm her down and enjoy the view. -x- -x- Later on the same day, the Family headed to a remote Store and took full advantage of the fact that everyone was busy with war. They emptied over 10 Cash registers during this spree, which everyone was pleased about. -x- -x- DISCLAIMER THAT THE NEXT SEGMENT IS VERY GRAPHIC, DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANNA SEE SUM SHIT. -x- During the night on that same day, the Family came across an extremely disrespectful and ignorant individual rolling around in a Family members vehicle. He was quickly disposed of by one of Aki's micro SMGs, but she chose that it would not end here.... The targets lifeless body was lifted into a trunk and moved to a remote ship, where one of the new Recruits was given a task by Aki, and not a simple one. He would have to Skin the body clean; leaving only his flesh on display. Why some ask? Well, Aki was not pleased with the recent abuse at the hands of the LSPD, so she wanted them to see the Horror the Family was capable of, and she wanted the word spread; "Hotshot, you are next." -x- -x- Aki took much pleasure in this show of Loyalty & Brutality that the Recruit had shown during his work. Yup. 1st comment; we would happily rob non public places if there were any scriptly... for now i'll just inform you it was a shop in the middle of no where and preperations were made with many lookouts to make sure no one saw or knew our operations

"Choices v2" The day starts off with a little catch-up. Aki and the Family woke up to find some devastating news that Lucy & Herbert had been deported, and had no clue when they would be able to return. A Meeting was held with the remaining Donuts, to make sure that they were now a part of our Family and they were more than welcome to join the Shelbys. Later on, Aki found herself as usual being harrased by LSPD with them chasing her from top to bottom of Los Santos in Victors Rapid GT. They never managed to catch-up, but she later handed herself in after missing a few business calls because her phone had to be off or the nonce detectives would come and "Touch Her". After this Aki chose to team up with Victor and get a drug operation going for the Family so that they could begin establishing themselves in the Narcotics Trafficing industry. Both of them took to this job like Moths to a lamp, and the operation was quickly underway with the first table in the Crack Den. "Now Liam can afford to buy a car to sling dope out of" Now it was Meeting time with the WCA & Dojin-Kai after the Family chose their side on the war, and ovbiously they would side with the winning side. Also, Aki had a long-term issue with Los Chimps for their repeated disrespect and unprovoked attacks on the Family and it's assosiates. It was time for the Shelbys to step in help with the final blows to the Council. Each crew showed up to the meeting in numbers and ready for action, which the Family took pride on after the groups spoke about their showings with The Void, or atleast lack their of. Each crew got into position and looked Chrisp & Clean while awaiting WCA arrivial. Many plesentries and jokes were had during the wait, and the High Command of Dojin-Kai showed their disipline by bowing in respect to the numbers shown by the Family. Many members of the Family followed this by taking off their caps in respect to our Brothers from oversees. Then, the Assasins arrived in numbers and more Strapped than ever before. They moved in proffesionally, and each crews High Command went off to the side to speak big business, most of which was agreed on the stomping of Los Chimps. With this many numbers gathering, many Chimp scouts began to appear, talking out of their rear ends as per usual and making claims with only 6 men. All parties looked up and thought.... "6 Free AKs!" The group went up to see the Chimps once the meeting was done, which was first interupted by Jesus Himself and then by the LSPD, right as the group was getting ready to spill some blood. Next, Aki again found herself at the abuse of the LSPD, and along with Jamal (Who did not even sit in the car of his own free will) ended up back in DOC yet again. After serving her time, Aki went back to their Spot to find loads of randoms chillin and fishin. She made sure just incase to check for any Wires before letting them be at peace, but now she knew that this place was Comprimised and the Operation had to be moved elsewhere.
