  5. Diego & Gomez After a long week of preparation, the familia was looking forward to the Vato Sunday Service. Our enemies scouted around and tried to make war on the Sabbath Day, which is so important to the Latino & Hispanic community in Los Santos. Not to be deterred we ensured this special occasion was not ruined by unwanted bloodshed. Our family and friends gathered at the Vato Church in Paleto to attend our weekly service and to ensure that everyone had an opportunity to find some peace for a short time in the midst of war. Everyone was looking well in their best clothes, showing respect to the Holy Vato. We eagerly waited for the Church bells to ring and everybody went inside to listen to the words of our Holy Padre Juan. This week’s Vato Gospel was the Story of “Diego & Gomez” Some of the familia stepped up and spoke of our fallen amigos, for the weak who seek aid and comfort and how to show forgiveness to others. We had our communion and passed out the perfectly rolled blunts of our Vatos. Everyone lined up and accepted. The room filled with smoke and everyone smiled and rejoiced. We offer handshakes of peace to each of our neighbours, and even the Bishop drops in to confer proceedings Afterwards the traditional Tequila is handed out and we thank everyone for coming along, wish them well for the week and hoping to see them again next week. We were lucky enough to have a wonderful photographer who took a beautiful shot of the low riders bouncing surrounded by our friends and families.
  6. +1 with cool down as above
  7. Salvation One of the vatos in the familia had let us know of a recent investment in a Church in the north of the county. It had been a long time since any of us prayed to God, and you know having God on your side is always useful in times of conflict. We knew what potential the place had, and how lacking the Latino and Hispanic community has been of a community center, that this seemed like a gift from God itself. So each and every vato got to work, building meticulously a place where we could bring our families, our friends - a sanctuary for peace in this chaotic immoral world that surrounds us. So many people dropped by while we were building, maybe it was a little uncomfortable for the town of Paleto so many new people joining the town all at once - even the morannos came by for a sneak peak and something about a hostage situation. They quickly realised there was nothing going on and said their goodbyes! With the time and money we had, we built the Church of Vato and finally it was ready for our first Sunday service. Luckily we had an ordained Minister of Vato in our midst, who quickly took position as our Father Vato. He agreed to open the first ever Church of Vato mass. Everyone was looking forward to getting together and praying to the Holy Vato the way our families do back home. People pulled out their best clothes and ironed their shirts, dusting the cars off that have been sitting in the garage for so long Everyone went inside and prepared to be seated for Father Juan’s ceremony. Finally Father Juan arrived and proceeded to teach the congregation the ways of the Holy Vato. Like show peace and love to thy neighbours Of course we had the Vato Communion, with each person given the traditional vato offering. “Our Vato who art in the Barrio.. Homie Be Thy Name” - Father Juan The closing ceremony of Tequila was offered and the first ever Vato mass was concluded. The service ended and everyone made their way outside to the carpark while Father Juan spoke to the congregation while wishing them well for the week "Praise be to the Holy Vato"
  8. Great updates everyone keep up the good work!
  9. Same - But I do it everyday; I log in and just try my best to do nothing wrong and record everything, while being worried about losing the people I have become friends with OOC and worried what if I did something I wasn't supposed to and didn't mean to. I am happy to own up to my mistakes and should I ever receive a punishment then that's on me but it's a genuine concern that I will get in potentially more trouble because of what is going on around me. I have had the pleasure of sorting out the only issue I have had (and hopefully ever) with the person OOC and I cannot remember the persons name I apologise, but I would like to resolve it that way wherever possible. Thanks all for taking the time you have been to give good RP and there have been some epic battles on both sides. You all put the time and efforts in, as much as I or anyone else - and we have to recognise this from everyone. So to all you RPers - thank you.
  10. It, keep up the updates, they so good!
  11. Well done this is amazing! I didn't know about this till I was searching for some help with the notes
  12. Born into a family of 9 in the Cupey area of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and 2 girls and 7 boys, Alicia learned quickly to be strong. She was close with her family, in particular her Mami, she never got to know her Papi who died when she was very young. When she found out her Mami was ill, she realised she had to earn money to look after her, her brothers were useless and would barely lift a finger around the house. She took any job she could, fishing for days on end, fixing cars, running errands for neighbours etc, to earn dinero to help. But still her selfish brothers did not help her or the family out at all. She earned enough barely to get her through and kept attending school. Her Mami’s health deteriorated. One day, her eldest brother said - “you are not earning enough, we have decided that you will marry a man who is coming to town who has promised to give us a large sum of money for you. You will do it and not ask questions.” Alicia fought and argued but her brother was the head of the household, and all the others boys agreed, purely thinking of the money that was coming in & nothing about how she felt. The man was triple her age. Quietly she spoke to her Mami one night when they were alone and told her of this awful plan. She looked frailly at Alicia and said; “You are too beautiful and smart for this, you should leave.” That night her Mami died. Alicia, knowing what her brothers wanted her to do, packed up her things with tears in her eyes and using all she had saved, made the first flight to Los Santos; a city that her and her friend Comila had dreamed of going while they were in school. She landed in the airport confused and lonely and began looking for ways to earn money. She started fishing, and mining and again trying to earn some money to keep her afloat. One day in the mines she was attacked and robbed by some hooded men, when a man stepped in and saved her. He was masked and she wanted to know who was the person who saved her. The moment his mask came off, it was love at first sight. They have been inseparable since. The man let her know of a group of men and women who protected each other and those who mined. He invited her to come meet his familia. Alicia was hesitant, familia had never protected her before, why should she trust these people. He brought her to the Burrio where she was instantly surrounded by many people. Some with hostile looks, some stared but no one spoke. The man stood in the middle and announced that he wanted her to become part of the familia. Alicia stated her name and where she had come from and explained her journey. Once this sentence was spoken, all faces instantly changed to warm smiles and she was welcomed to them like she had been with them forever. A bottle of tequila was handed to her and she was introduced to everyone. She vowed to be loyal to them just as they would be loyal to her. Later that night when everyone had gone home, she lamented her day. Love, Familia & Joy. She just hoped nothing would happen to take that away from her. She prayed to Guabancex, Atabay & Opiel Guabrion to protect her and new familia from that day forward.
