  1. Hello! We appreciate your suggestion however there are a few flaws with this suggestion which i'll list below for you. Make it so that cops actually get paid for handling impounds, give them incentive to do it because most cops just don't care about doing it at this point cause there is no reward tied to it for them. Cops are already paid a wage packet, which includes completing impound duties. If your character feels that 'cops don't care about doing it', take the issue up ICly with the police department. Make it a "pay a ticket" type of system just like you pay your tickets at the police station. Pay the fine and your car gets out of impound, this completely eliminates the need of having to wait for a cop to get your vehicle out of the impound. There are other factors that go into the releasing of a vehicle from the impound lot, i won't provide all but an example could be that the owner has no valid drivers license. This disables the ability to allow them to retrieve their vehicle back (Not scriptly, RPly.) There are also limited spots in the impound lot already, and would cause a space and spawn in issue. Give mechanics the option to handle impounds as well, not just cops. Like i stated above, releasing vehicles cannot be undertaken by mechanics as there are legal obligations involved in the release of a vehicle and mechanics are not authorised to enforce the penal code. The are able to impound vehicles, just not release. I find that the majority of inconveniences or issues that arise with subjects like this can be resolved by speaking to someone IC, maybe try that and see how it goes?
  2. In this day an age, almost everyone in the world has a video camera at their disposal, inside their cellular/mobile phones. Which means so much more content is captured on a minute by minute basis. This could be your local stray cats fighting, a local storm passing through your town, or even a crazed lady at the local store. It's all captured on video. Lets say, it's a Saturday afternoon, you're relaxing by the pier and fishing with some friends. All of a sudden, you hear gunshots, turn around and see two men shooting another man. He falls to the floor and the shooters run away. Police show up and need to know what's happened but they can't just take your word for it. You can now say to them, i recorded it! Another example could be, You're sitting on the side of the road on Route 68, its Midnight, You've had to pull over to answer a phone call. While on the call, a crazed man approached out of the darkness and attempts to hold you at gunpoint and steal your brand new car! You are terrified but comply. Luckily, you escape unscathed, but you call 911. They arrive and you state the scenario, explaining you were wearing a GoPro clipped to your T-shirt. You can now provide footage of the assailant! A final example could be, your posse are big time bike stunt riders. You're at the skate park on Vespucci Blvd and Jake just threw a sick kick flip. You caught it all on your phone, you can now post this video to life invader! Footage Obtained by OOC Means must have RP to accompany it, this is to avoid Metagaming. You must always roleplay turning on your bodycam/camera, every 48 hours. Using OOC Footage IC, With Roleplay, Is Classed as Alternative RP. Alternative meaning, Not scripted. To make this RP Valid, you must provide time stamped roleplay. This roleplay expires within 48 hours. Use your imagination folks, where do we buy most of our misc. items from in Eclipse? A Store! While it isn't a physical item, this is what Roleplay is about, Using our Imagination. To be able to record your gameplay, you will need software to record your gameplay. Common types of Software are: Shadowplay Re-Play Fraps Medal.TV Twitch (Stream) Youtube (Stream) Simple, simply re-enact it as you would in real life. Below is an example. Remember, you must always time stamp your RP. It will only be valid for 48 hours. Any footage obtained after this is NOT usable and would be considered corrupted footage. If you were to use your phone, You can do the following: /time /me takes out phone, hitting the record button. /record If you wanted to use a dashcam, You can do the following: /time /me leans forward towards the dashcam attached to the front window, pressing the power button to enable the recording feature. /do The record light would be flashing red, indicating it is now recording. Remember, the above examples are not mandatory scenario's. Think up your own! Maybe you have a mini HD GoPro, Maybe you have an RAC 1080 Dashcam, or even a Life Invader Media Flip Phone. It's completely up to you! You need to be able to provide the RP you have done to make the footage valid. As stated above, footage must have RP prior, and will only be valid for 48 hours. The best practice to ensure you have your RP saved, is to complete the above steps, then immediately screenshot the RP. You can delete this screenshot every 48 hours or when you complete the next RP sequence. Yes! You can! So remembering rule 10, /do must only be used to provide FACTUAL statements. If you provide non-factual statements in /do, this is against the rules and you could recieve disciplinary punishments. To be able to RP video footage, you must still complete the above bodycam RP, then you can respond to questions that are asked via /do or roleplay showing the footage to a police officer using /me. Below are some examples of interactions; /me pulls out her phone, loading up previously recorded footage, turning her phone around and displaying it for John to see. /do You would see a female that matches Grace's description, pulling out a golf club and smashing the car window /me takes the SD card out of her bodycam, putting it inside her SD card slot on her phone and loading the footage /me shows the phone to John /do You would see a female that matches Grace's description, pulling out a golf club and smashing the car window DID YOU KNOW? You can also RP from a distance! Let's say you have CCTV camera's set up in your apartment, and you witnessed the suspect leave your apartment but were unable to apprehend. If the suspect wasn't wearing a mask, you can provide the footage to the police, or to a friend. For example: /me loads up the CCTV feed on to her laptop, rewinding back to the footage required. /LDO 122 After reviewing the footage, would i see a female that looks like Grace, Breaking into the apartment and stealing her golf clubs? This will send a /do to the person in question, they will then need to reply. /LDO 166 You would see Grace stealing the Golf clubs from the apartment, yes. FAQ's Where can i buy a bodycam? Remember, this is all about RP, while there are no physical Bodycam Items for you to buy, you can either use your phone, or you can go to any store and RP buying a bodycam using /me's and /do's. If you'd really like to be immersive, you can even head to city hall and donate money to RP purchasing the bodycam further. What should i do if someone asks for my bodycam for evidence? Hand over your evidence using /me's and /do's just like you would in real life. Take the Bodycam and hand it over OR take the SD Card out and put it in your phone OR give the person a link to your "Cloud" Then, once the person is watching the footage RP-ly, you can send it via discord for them to watch. REMEMBER: You must always provide proof of RP (Screenshot with the time stamp) If you have any questions regarding this type of RP, feel free to send me a question (OOC Questions Only), via PM, OR Alternatively, Use I have a question on the ECRP Discord. Thankyou!
  3. Also happens when looting bodies too.
  4. Date and time (provide timezone): 9:40PM UTC+1 - 28/08/21 Character name: Jessica Nash Issue/bug you are reporting: Character gets stuck in placing item animation Expected behavior: When placing items such as blockade cones, Character gets stuck in placing item animation. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: https://streamable.com/y8u0l6 I have also noticed sometimes when searching a bag, you get stuck in the searching animation. The Blockade issue has only started happening today.
  5. Its a recent issue that has risen. Not sure what's caused it.
  6. Load into another server and wait until you reach a login/splash screen. Once loaded in, press F1 to bring up the RAGEMP menu and join the ECLIPSE ROLEPLAY | ENGLISH server. When trying to join, you'll most likely have to do it 3 times. The first time will say "Connection lost" in the bottom right. The second time will say "Establishing connection" indefinitely. The third one should start establishing connection followed by loading server assets. After these steps, you should be in the game. When you reach character select your game may or may not crash, but from there you'll be able to join the server as normal instead of having to jump through these hoops again.
  7. So the police department doesn't make the laws, the comissioners do. Your best bet is to contact them IC. Push for a change in protocol.

    Police Supers

This post is a little outdated as vehicles have been re-evaluated within the department.
  9. I agree somewhat with this thread. I feel on one hand you should face consequences for your actions, but on the other hand, it's not fun for anyone to be in jail for 6-7 hours. I've seen someone get 12 which is excessive. I feel like charge times should still stand as they are but there should be a cap of 4 hours for consecutive jail sentences. So if someone get 10 Felony evasions, they should get 4 hours max regardless. This is a community that is supposed to be fun for ALL who play, whether legal or criminal. It's 10x harder to be a criminal, if we want to keep the ratio fair and balanced there needs to be some give for criminals. Perhaps a compromise that only certain charges are exempt from the cap, I.E Murder Modifiers involving LEO's Such as battery of a gov. employee, attempted murder of a gov, employee.
  10. This has happened alone and with passengers so nope X
  11. I don't. He stated that the car just kept moving. I've noticed my new car moves by itself too. Its the Beetle looking vehicle. Not sure if this is a new issue.
  12. It's a great idea, however we did have meat sellable at one point and as Caesar said its just unrealistic. People were gutting dead bodies on busy streets, and so forth. It's just not a the right fit for RP purposes in my opinion!
  13. This has been implemented! Nice work!

    VOIP issues

It may be a firewall issue. Try this Select Start > Settings > Privacy > Microphone . In Allow access to the microphone on this device, select Change and make sure Microphone access for this device is turned on.
  15. Totally gross but love the enthusiam. (Make sure you ask for permission to gross RP!)
  16. So i propose that the /prison command is linked with the ID. For example, you cannot prison someone who doesn't have ID on them UNLESS they have fingerprints in the system. If they have fingerprints/DNA in the system, you can /prison FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME.
  17. If you have any ideas that could improve this suggestion, feel free to add it
  18. I slightly agree with this sentiment, realistically police would not have access to privately owned CCTV. I think CCTV should be added to banks instead of stores. But to keep the playing field even, you have a 1/100 chance of the clerk pressing a panic button.
  19. Fake ID What: Criminals are able to gather materials to make fake ID's for people. It involves luck and chance to be able to create good/bad quality ID's. This will require ID's to be a physical item. I think it would be great to create a slot similar to earrings so that it doesnt take space. This will mean other ID's (Real ones) Will have to be physical Criminals can make fake ID's and sell them for whatever price they wish. How: Materials are needed for this task, you will need a crafting table that DOESNT require ventilation. You will require card, lamination sheets, holographic paper and HD printing ink. You will stand at the table, load the ingredients and every 30 minutes 1 fake ID is created. Buffers: To make it fair, you have a 50/50 chance of making excellent quality ID's. So the options are Excellent/Good - Sub-par Bad. Excellent/Good ID's will have realistic names and ages which you can /inspectID Subpar/Bad ID's will have strange names that are silly with strange ages which again you can check. Fake ID's last for 24 hours, BECAUSE when ran through the MDC, it will bring up a temporary FAKE record (So that officers aren't suspicious). At the moment you have to /time stamp RP to drop your license, i propose that you can right click /drop your License, but it will re-appear in your inventory after 4 hours. How does this affect /prison Realistically you cannot prison someone who you cannot adequately identify so here is what i propose for this. You cannot prison someone without ID, it would give you a prompt if you try to do it: "You cannot prison this person, they don't have any ID!" The only way you can now prison someone is if you know their full first and lastname. This is so that you can ascertain their identity realistically and this will also allow for the fake ID system to be put into play. Examples: Ben gets the tools to create fake ID. He crafts the ID, and it is of excellent quality. Upon crafting completion, a temporary fake rapsheet is created based on name availability Ben /inspectID's his new item. It would show: This ID is of Excellent Quality and reads: Eleanor Wheatsheef Ben sells the ID to Amy. Amy is a hardened criminal. Amy hangs around her criminal friends when a drive-by happens. Amy is questioned by the police after the fact. They take her ID, inspecting it. They would see: This ID is of Excellent Quality and reads: Eleanor Wheatsheef They would look up this person and see they don't have a record. Amy is set free. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ben gets the tools to create fake ID. He crafts the ID, and it is of excellent quality. Upon crafting completion, a temporary fake rapsheet is created based on name availability Ben /inspectID's his new item. It would show: This ID is of Excellent Quality and reads: Brian Jensen Ben sells the ID to John, John steals a car and is caught. Police check the ID and it would show: This ID is of Excellent Quality and reads: Brian Jensen When officers look up his rapsheet, he has no priors so Brian is given a lesser sentence.
  20. License plate theft What: Criminals are able to steal license plates from other peoples vehicles then either sell them to other players or place them onto a car How: With a drill in their inventory, they stand behind a car, type /stealplate. A timer would activate that is quite long (To make it fair). Once complete the plate becomes a physical item in the inventory and the vehicle that now has a stolen plate would be replaced with 0000000 (So that officers/civilians are able to distinguish a stolen plate vs scrap vehicle). Now players have a physical plate, as mentioned prior they can either sell it for whatever price they wish, or go to another vehicle, with drill in hand and type /attachplate to put the plate onto the car. This now means when the plate is scanned, it will show the OTHER vehicle. (Great for crimes where they want to use their own vehicle) Buffers: To make it fair for ALL parties, the plates are only viable/useable for 4 hours (The same as mors), when the 4 hours runs out, the plate will return to the original car giving the thief a notification: "The plate you lifted has been retrieved by government officials and returned to the owner!" You cannot steal faction plates There is a proximity in effect to make it so you have to be directly behind the REAR plate only to make it work.
  21. So recently i'm seeing that a lot of names are getting more obtuse and using spelling such as Johnn or Jonn because Most John's are taken. I think it would be great if administration could set up an automated system for accounts that have been created but never logged in to be deleted. Maybe there could be a warning 2 weeks prior, then the character (Not the account) could be deleted. This would make it easier for new players joining to create characters without having to use farfetched names.

  23. Civilian Rework Clothing Recycling Where: Lesters Warehouse Why: The warehouse has sewing machines already so it adds to immersion. What: Players can take unwanted clothing items and drop them into a designated blip. Dependant on the clothing size depends on the pay and notification. An example of this would be: Hats: $100 Shoes: $110 Trousers: $150 Tops/shirts: $135 Coats/Jackets: $175 Accessories: $75 The prompt would read something such as: You have recycled your clothing item and received AMOUNT Burgershot Jobs Where: Vespucci Burger shot (Other locations could be opened) Why: There is already a custom script that can be implemented to make the interior enterable. What: Players are able to go into the back and press Y in the designated Blip to join the Burger shot work force. This will spawn them into a fast food outfit and give them a prompt box that will explain how the job works It begins by following a series of blips in the kitchen, you must stand at the fryer, press E (A timer will start that says: Frying Fries). Then you must go to the oven and press E (A timer will start that says: Flipping Burgers) Then finally you will go to the desk and press E (A timer will start that says: Packing Orders) Players are able to do this sequence once every 10 minutes, each sequence will pay them $500. Along side this, they will also have the option to man the desk, if another player comes in ordering food they have the following options: Customer will have a prompt when approaching cashier /orderfood burger/donut/sandwich/soda/water/coffee [CASHIERSID] (Example of command: /orderfood burger 255) Cashier will then get a prompt that says: ID 109 wishes to purchase fastfood from you, type /acceptfoodorder 109 to complete the order The Cashier will recieve 5% of the order total. The Customer will recieve a burger at a specified cost. These options give civilians an oppertunity to make money but also the oppertunity to roleplay and to encourage immersion. There is also the possibility for deliver drivers, you could dial 777 and it would open the option to order foods and give the option for a quantity. Then a delivery driver could /acceptFFdelivery and it would give a blip to the location. Carwash - Strawberry Where: Strawberry - Opposite the general store Why: It's already there, people already know the place. What: Players would go to the side entrance of the car was, pressing Y. It would put them into a designated outfit (I would recommend shorts, converse and a polo, generic but appropriate) A customer could arrive in the car park with their car, approach an attendant and say hey, i'd like my car washing. The attendant would roleplay looking at the car and say sure, looks like a basic wash and wax. Then type /offercarwash [ID]. Customer types /acceptcarwash [ID]. The customer would then have to drive the vehicle into a large blue blip INSIDE the car wash for the command to work. Attendant would then type /washcar [LICENSEPLATE]. A timer would activate and once complete the car would be clean. Base price for a car wash could be $250 per wash. Construction Worker Where: There are two construction yards in Los Santos City, Downtown and near Hawick Ave. Why: They are two static construction sites, perfect for immersive RP and oppertunity to earn money statically instead of driving. Lots of civilian jobs also require travelling, it would be nice to see a static job that is relatively safe with an easy-ish turn over. What: Workers will report to the construction site office, Alta street construction example: Workers would press Y and it would put them into the construction outfit. Such as this: Workers would then have to follow/find the blips located on their maps to go to a work van to collect tools, which will spawn a crate in their hands. Workers have to then carry said crate to designated markers, press E in the marker which would trigger the crate to drop and cause the character to start a building animation. Therefore simulating a building type scenario. These simulations would be timed, similar to farming. Once 4-5 areas have been worked on, the supply box would be empty. The player would then need to continue back to the work van area to collect either more tools or return the tool kit if they wish to finish the job. There is also the capability to spawn in the dozer when prompted at the office to follow blips similar to farming too. I would suggest however, to prevent people from taking the vehicle off site, the minute it exits the construction grounds, it despawns and gives you a prompt (Your working union has reclaimed the vehicle, you can't take it off site!) Rail worker Where: Entrance could be the highway entrance, they'd have to enter on foot, walking down to the office located down there. Why: Other entrances are civilian foot entrances and it'd be better for immersion to go the other way. What: Once at the office, they press Y spawning them in the construction clothes. They would also be able to spawn a work vehicle for their work They would then be given points on the rail track that they would have to begin performing maintenance on the track. Little blips would spam, they would have to go to the back of the truck, take out a small box similar to go postal, they'd go to the spot, press E and an animation would begin in which they would be kneeling on the floor placing something down or fixing something. There would be 10-15 blips per van load, then they would have to return to get supplies. I think this job would be a great build up to a BIGGER possibility (Working trains!) WORK IN PROGRESS (TO BE UPDATED)
