  1. +1 It's almost all the time rule play and never actually roleplay when it comes to these type of things with crims. Countless and numerous reports have been made on this specific rule on player theft and it's just a hassle in general... I do believe a rework or a revert is needed as well.
  2. -1 I'm sure it was removed/not enforced for a reason. People are trained RPly from PD/SD/MD privately from what I understand and they keep track of who can fly and who can't. It would also make it where the ones who can fly already have to retake a course similar to what they've already done just to be able to get it on their /license. Although, if the ones who are able to fly already get it on their /license on an OOC level, I wouldn't see a problem with it.
  3. It's odd to me that I find myself almost every day avoiding cops, not solely because I'm a crim, but because of the fact that the majority of cops do some very questionable shit. Believe me, I recognize a great amount of people in PD for great RP and even respect them because of how they can properly handle RP situations. It's just the idea of being rammed off a drag at high speeds, drive by tazed, gunned down for stealing a vehicle or driving high speeds, etc, stuff like that gets a little absurd and worrying for it to be considered "above standard level of RP" and the excuse for all of that is "crims have a play to win mentality so we'll have that mentality" is a fucking joke in itself. Although I do agree that the actions of one person's doesn't represent the whole faction. I too admit that I have blamed a faction as a whole before based off of one person's act, but when it's almost a daily recurrence from multiple different people from that faction there's a point in time where something has to change for the bettering of the community.
  4. Not sure if you wanna walk or run, but character kills aren't supported on this server the last time I checked. Also unfitting of an up and coming staff member to have such a cocky attitude on something that has been controversial and past its due date of discussion. If you personally think that these situations only happen in a blue moon, have you even tried being a crim? This doesn't happen just once or twice a week, it happens every day. The fact that you really think half the people who post on this thread is just "shaking salt" to play with "little to no impunity" makes no sense. Why would you, as PD, get to play with little to no impunity? What makes you so different that PD shouldn't be abiding by these high risk / low reward standards that crims have set placed for them? The ignorance of thinking it's okay to shoot as PD in the middle of a "busy town" or "busy highway" and thinking it's not okay for crims to be doing the exact same is baffling. lmfao
  5. +1 As much as it's sad to say, a lot of my encounters with PD is very unenjoyable. There are a good handful of people that make it enjoyable but the ratio of good encounters and bad encounters is very skewed in my own personal experience. I would also like to state that my bad encounters aren't because of me going to jail, I'm perfectly fine with doing time as I am aware of the repercussions of being a criminal has... but when the standards of CrimRP is expected to be as high and satisfactory for the community, shouldn't PD/SD be accounted for the bettering of the community? Multiple things PD do is mainly "IC" which in my opinion, is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when you attempt to talk it out with said officer, all you are really presented with is "IA report it." I get that we're here to simulate reality and not everything can be enforced based off real life scenarios, but something needs to be done about how much freedom PD/SD has in comparison to Crims regarding rules. Ironic that i mention the "IC issue" in this post and the "Ic issue" comment was made right after i posted it and was deleted...
  6. I had just moved into Los Santos, lost and unknown of what lays ahead of me. I asked people around town about how money was made and was told to go mining, a job that paid fairly well. Although I didn’t have any means of transporting these ores around I decided to ask a man in a black suit if he had a vehicle that I could use to get me off my feet. After getting to know each other, this man in this black suit showed me the ropes and even took me on mining runs with him. A few weeks had passed of me using and borrowing his Mule and he brought up a business idea for me to make easy money with less effort. Realizing I hadn’t really known what he did for a living, I got interested and next thing you know, I’m deep in dirty work pushing guns out into the streets and I became part of his gang called The Rooks. I had also started working for LSC as a side hustle of being a full time Criminal in Los Santos and managed to save enough money for a Massacro, my first luxury vehicle. I was kicked out of the gang and thrown off a crane, ultimately being hospitalized for attempting to overthrow the leader of The Rooks. A few months had passed after waking up from a coma and was welcomed with a text on his phone informing him that he is no longer welcomed as a Rook. An empty void filled his stomach as he heard news about Tanjiro, his brother who had also been a part of The Rooks. Tanjiros skin was sliced off where the tattoo of a raven was located and this brought Ray’s blood boiling. Ray gathered a few people to set up an ambush and get revenge on The Rooks, ultimately ending up with him and the people who worked alongside him, in their favor. A few months passed and winter had fallen. Eventually everyone got tired and wanted to settle down after countless amounts of bloodshed. Tanjiro wanted a way out of the criminal life and became a real estate agent, buying and selling houses while the rest of the crew ultimately flew out the city and was never seen again. Ray Jensen didn’t want his story to end and decided to hit up a friend he had met from LSC, Draymond Woods. He had quit LSC and joined Los Zetas, the powerhouse of all criminal organizations. I started hanging around Dray and Los Zetas and saw a familiar face, Jon Ramos. He was a friend back when I wasn’t in a gang and was wandering the city like a lost dog just like me. Somehow after a few countless of months, we ended back up mobbing the streets once again. After a few weeks, I was able to make it as a pre prospect for Los Zetas. A war with Vory had broken out with Los Zetas and with no surprise in my mind, Los Zetas ended on top. During this war I had proved myself to my recruiter, Skinny, that I was fit to be able to represent blue and start rolling with them from now on. Me, Jon and Dray had gotten quite close and decided why don’t we become brothers. We decided to legally change our last names to Woods, Dray’s original last name. We would gear up everyday, pack out my V12 that I had purchased not too long into being a Zeta, and rolled around doing everything together, but things don’t always go as fairy tales say they do. The Woods family fell apart and had separated while not too long after, Los Zetas had done the same. The news of Los Zetas disbanding spreaded across the city like a wildfire. As the last few minutes of being a Zeta came to an end, we all said our goodbyes to each other and headed off our separate ways. The name Los Zetas will forever be embedded into Los Santos. After the departure of the Woods family, the only people that were on good terms were me to everyone else while everyone stayed distant with each other. The one person I talked to the most after the family had gone its separate ways was Dray and we were approached by our Lieutenant, Larry Wrzosek. Larry offered to take in both Dray and I into the Wrzosek family and gave us time to think about it. Over some time, wanting a new start, me and Dray decided why not? We both wanted something new and decided to change our last names and became Wrzoseks. A few weeks pass after Los Zetas have disbanded and I had a few options to choose from. I either take on the path of being one of our long lasting allies, Los Santos Triads, or become one of the new additions to the council, Aztecas. The decision was hard but I felt like I wouldn’t have fit in with any of the two gangs and decided to roll solo for a bit and do my own thing for a short period of time. After some time, I was personally offered a spot to join Los Santos Triads but denied it as I had other plans for my future. Gangster Disciples was an option that I had considered as it consists of mainly ex zetas that were handpicked by Oti, the leader of the gang. Dray was already in Gangster Disciples and after a talk with a few other members along with Oti, I was in. This was only the beginning
  7. Fire thread, Enjoying every interaction with each and everyone of you guys. Can't wait to see the photobook progress.
  8. +1 I think it's kind of ironic how people are saying 5+ hours is realistic for the crimes you commit... There are rules that make most scenarios unrealistic, so I don't see why sitting 5+ IRL hours in prison with absolutely nothing to do but mine ore and get punched around by some mouthy inmates is okay. Everyone who has gone to prison are bored out their mind and I speak on behalf of almost every single person. Don't believe me? Give it a try, since there's so much RP there!
  9. +1, a man wants more options for cars/vehicles.
  10. Usually it's because your drivers are outdated, had the same problem and I updated them and it started working again. If that solution doesn't work you can try reinstalling your drivers completely, I've done that in the past as well once my recordings were going green again and ever since then I haven't had the same problems as long as I keep my drivers up to date. This is from what I've personally gone through, hopefully these solutions work
