  1. +1 the whole /modview app could use an overhaul, really
  2. To me high end and low end arent a used car dealership. They're a swap meet where owners sell to other owners. The city facilitates it by providing secure payment and title transfer. But it isn't a dealership, both take place in public parking lots.
  3. It may be impossible considering you're not necessarily at your home location when you're in your home. However, there could be some widget that sits outside the home that allows you to get a list of players, or just query if there are any players within 10 or 20 feet of your front door. Could be a command like /vehiclestats which work remotely. /Doorcam for instance.
  4. Since there's no way for a person to assess the situation outside of their home after they wake up players shouldn't be able to rob them as they leave their houses. The only exception I can see to this is if someone is under the 3 hour revenge rule. A player should be able to, at the very least, open their door and walk outside and back in. At the most there should be a 10 second window to leave your house, unpark your car, and get out of the area. In reality if you lived in a bad neighborhood you'd check out the window before you walked outside, and probably even have some sort of security system. If you saw some shady guys outside your house you'd probably call the cops before you left. I'm not avocating for a completely safe and realistic scenario here, just a rule to give a homeowner some chance to avoid getting robbed in these scenarios.

This is what RP tools are for. RP taking the stuff, use /do and screenshot things. You don't have to ACTUALLY take a person's inventory in an RP scenario you just have to RP that you did so, and RP that you give it back when they leave. If a player agrees in /do they no longer have a bag then they no longer have a bag.
  6. I guess the issue I can see from a backdoor standpoint is nearly every house is different. But I'm for anything that would get us more use of the houses our characters "own" in game.
  7. I'd just be happy to be able to have a stairs placed so I could get onto the back deck of my house. But a backdoor would be even better!
  8. Date and time (provide timezone): Ongoing EST Character name: Bobby_Forsyth Issue/bug you are reporting: Motorcycle NRJVNUY6 shows $1000 in modview app, but any attempt to make a /mechoffer shows a BASE total of $3500. I've tried relogging, parking the bike, nothing works. I'm bother the owner and the mechanic. Expected behavior: The /mechoffer command with no labor should reflect the amount in the /modview app Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: I haven't seen this on any other vehicle and I do this dozens of times a day. I've had other mechanics check with the same result. There are no other mods enabled other than a "classic" paint job. I wonder if it's possible just to destroy the bike and create a new one? Vehicle license plate number*: NRJVNUY6
  9. The city should pay mechanic shops to haul cars outta the area and it could be a priority. We'd probably drive trucks by there all the time. $500 to the faction for every impounded car.
  10. Yep, and take a rake of the poker tables.
  11. Though I had some good RP when my character was out in jail, 45 minutes for a traffic infraction is too much by at least 3 fold, if not 4. People who have OOC rules infractions seem to serve less time than this on average. We all don't have infinite time to play and taking up nearly an hour of someone s time in a cell for a misdemeanor is too much. My 2 cents.
  12. I don't think there's a big parking situation around the bank, the issue at the bank is people choose to hang out there. There is a parking lot behind the bank that is still, I believe, in the NCZ. I think what you're really referring to is long term parking, and I think the current long term parking lot is fairly close to the bank in my opinion. I'd say a lot close to the airport might be nice, like the big lot right next to the DMV, and maybe one out by the casino. Having a couple of more options of location so you can park closer to places you usually RP would be nice. What can happen on RP servers of all sorts is when you only have one option, in other words a choke point, that becomes a cluster of bad RP. Ideally, for the sake of actual good RP you want things spread out a little to reduce traffic and force people to do more than hang out in one spot and goof off for hours, like the bank and the parking lot turn into. So, yes, +1 for another lot but it shouldn't be anywhere near the bank. We should be trying to get people to leave the bank and go out into the world. I get that people want to hang out in NCZs, but also keep in mind that the more people you have in a non-NCZ the harder it becomes to pull-off crime, and the funner these things become.
