+1 Inter police departmental competition would be cool RP opportunities.

It is really interesting to see what others see in the server, so many good points in this thread. I'm new to the server, been here about a week and I'm really considering not getting involved now before I waste my time. The server apprears to have huge potential but the lack of RP from the police is ridiculous. They literally just stop you and fine you. Apparently, you can set up bank heists and prison breaks with admins but i imagine this is only reserved for experienced players or streamers. The basic city jobs are nothing, they provide no RP, little incentive to replay them and just seem like a drag. Where are the stealable money trucks, the faction of guards hired to protect them, why is nobody else able to buy gas stations and such its a monopoly, where are the police blockades on gang hideouts and criminal busts. There is just not a lot going on. Most just gather at the bank and talk shit. The server can best be described in two ways. Cops vs Robbers, not everyone does this but a lot do. Or as a GTA chatroom, with no attractions working, no shooting range, fairies nothing., It is hard to RP as a citizen if all you are able to do is play poker and be robbed. Why can it not be made mandatory to join a player faction? so that a player can never be without a faction, when they leave a player faction they default back to one of the city jobs. However, these player ran factions would be run similar to Corps in EveOnline, treated with respect for their services. Player factions could include, Security Firms, Taxi Firms, Bank and Bank Loan, Mechanics, Customs, Lawyers and Solicitors, Plumbers and electricians could be added and houses take damage over time. There are just so many RP roles that could be implemented. So a Bank Teller is someone has chosen that corp and gets paid a wage, then instead of using /take salary, you go to speak to the bank teller. If the bank teller leaves the bank location then it can just revert back to /take salary, when they ware to return they tend to customers at a bank of their choosing. They receive wages only for the time they are at the bank. This is just a rough idea would need major balancing and it just a thought. but essential requires players to have a fixed role within the city, thus adding to the life within the city. Just having a q at the bank could lead to people pushing in, people pushing in the q leads to players, not like each other and boom, RP is born. From standing ina q lol Anyways this is just the thoughts of a new player so, take it as you will.

+1 Great idea. Even just highlighting the current bus stops or placing signs in-game so players can see the current stops would be a good first step.

Could this RP'd at all with more security? I'm new so still trying to get a feel for the server and how deep the RP actually is. Maybe this is an opportunity for more RP opportunities to arise. Could police possible attend the event and ensure safety for the crowd? Could a player ran faction handle this possibly? Any opportunity to increase RP opportunities is a good thing as the server in its current state has limited mechanics to push RP to the next level. Let me know if this could be done. Maybe just 20 people, separate faction ~(Event Staff) doesn't matter on the personal background as its a community event and cops and criminals or citizens just want to ensure the event runs smoothly. So anyone from any gang or anything. Make rules so all past grudges cant be settled here and there is to be no violence. There will be a man on the door on the way out who will take player donations from guests who enjoyed the event. This will help pay staff for the event and ensuring the safety of guests. Funds could towards Police donations and medical crew that ought to be in attendance anyways as due to the nature of the event. -1 for the NCZ implementation from me although. + 1 for raising it as a concern though and something that ought to be seriously looked into, if the problem is as dire as you state. Maybe default to an NCZ, I for one would be happy to attend an event as support staff and collect 1k or 2k on way out for being staff.

-1 I genuinely don't know if this is a troll post or not. English isn't the most spoken language for nothing. Yes, it's not the primary language of a lot of Countries but nearly all of Europe can speak it. Not just in the UK. Yes, the Americas has a lot of people speaking English but come on man, is this a serious suggestion? And yeah, most of Europe want to play on an English speaking server because they speak English. lol again, I don't know if this is genuine or not.

This would be interesting and would allow for more flowing shootouts and RP scenarios than the previously mentioned designated area. By wearing a Gang Mask or outfit, or by using a specific car design/skin the player recognises the danger that comes with being in a gang. Currently, what are the drawbacks from being in a gang? If this was implemented then the fear of Constant attack from other gangs is heightened. It gives players more of a reason to join a gang and more of a reason to not. IMO this is an excellent idea. Fights can erupt across the map, without warning and would still adhere to RP rule, (Think blood and Cribs), different colours could work. Of course, there would have to be supporting documents with faction clothing on display. 1 so people know what to wear and 2, so civilians know not what to where. +1 Great additional suggestion +1 Great Idea allowing for increased RP scenarios With this implemented players could Be a taxi driver being held up by a gang, only to be saved by a rival gang who saw their opportunity to attack Blockaed could be establised which gangs control. Other gangs could come and fight for these positions Raids on know rival gang locations could be started without warning This sense of heightened fear is something i suspect many would appreciate. Especially those that have been here a while and are worried things may go stale. IMO

It is disappointing to see such negative response comments. The least you could do guys would be to give a little more feedback than that. +1 (really cool idea, would need balancing heavy, surprised this ain't already a thing. But I agree with the comment. A system to help the natural flow of shootouts would be really beneficial for the server. As was suggested certain HotZones could be added where KOS between gangs may be allowed. To control this even further and to help prevent others from being caught in the crossfire I suggest also making these areas timed. For example, shooting between 20:00-06:00 is allowed. The current ruleset does not offer enough scope to effectively RP as a gang member, as others have said, IRL you would not wait for your friend to get shot and killed before engaging the enemy with words. It is just unrealistic. For example, I rolled up to another gang with 3 other people. We got out of the vehicle and approached the rival gang in an aggressive manner. A fight broke out and everyone in my gang was killed apart from me. Despite having been with the gang in the car, despite approaching in an aggressive manner I had not engaged the shooter directly so he did not have KOS on me. I simply just walked out of there (A witness). I totally expected to get shot, but I didn't, i walked away. I would have been fine if died, i was part of a gang, thats gang life, You cant always pick when you are going to be in a shootout these things just happen.

Such Quality Input. So what if it works fine for you, it would continue to work fine for you. How would this even affect you? -

+1 great suggestion. Most answers here are just stupid. Being able to use comms whilst having the full range of movement with WASD is vital, it just cannot be done when stretching the thumb to use N. Having mic keybindings avaible elsewhere is a Must. Personally, I would use my mouse button 4 and 5 too for mic control. This would allow to me talk, have full WASD control and be able to use my mic. Any decent gamer will always reduce the amount of time their fingers are not over WASD or TFGH. Good suggestion. -
I think that is the snowball effect they are trying to negate.

I've not been accepted yet so take my input lightly but yes I would agree this would be a good RP route to take. It will allow for genuine rivalries to be built. In life, most people (IMO) get guns in response to an event where they were a victim. Allowing players to build more authentic RP situations where a player would then have reason to get a gun may add to the RP. After finally acquiring a gun, finding that person or gang who has been robbing you, taking revenge could be more satisfying, I feel. As opposed to gun shortly after server entrance and just Pew Pew. I can imagine the local factions having to hire security to ensure their employees are protected in more dangerous areas of town and from trigger happy new arrivals. Ultimately it adds another layer of interaction between players and thus adds to RP opportunities. If I have no way of protecting myself then i have to get someone to help me. Who will I get? how will I find them? will I find them independently, has my boss got numbers for the local private security firm? What about pretending to help the local employees and then turning on them. Like I say, this is RP. Any layer of added interaction, I feel, should be treated as a positive. If implemented correctly. You could go one layer deeper and say cabbies can only carry handguns as this is truer to life.

If i get accepted i can't wait to take some cash from you guys over the tables
