    Speed cameras

Okay, it honestly sound like you're from a lawless city, or maybe just live in a criminal area. In my country, the police heavily enforce traffic regulations, and we have speed traps all over the country. You know how most people who speed, avoid these cameras? They get an app that state where the cameras are, so they slow down right before the cameras as to not get a ticket. ^^ That is how you should 'avoid' the cameras. Not putting them up because some criminals doesn't find it " fair " is ridiculous.

    Speed cameras

If you could destroy the speed cameras, people would do it all the time, and I doubt most would roleplay any of it ( or it would prob be basic handup lvl of rp ) You speak of the PD being overpowered, but I most strongly disagree. Firstly, they are a government agencies that have close to unlimited resources. In reality, most police departments have the same problem, that PD is experiencing. They are heavily out numbered to the criminals. You're not supposed to be equally as good as the cops, that would be ridiculous. Instead, as a criminal, you need to use your head to outsmart the cops. They got better weapons than you? Lure them into a trap. They got a faster car than yours? Get better at taking tight turns and out run them. They got speed cameras up? Avoid them, or get a scrapyard car. Or just comply with the speed limit. This is about creating a realistic server, not about equalizing criminals chances to beat the cop in a 1v1.
  3. I spend the majority of my time, driving a courier truck. As much as I enjoy roleplay driving, I don't really stop for red ( except if I'm roleplaying of course ) That being said, I mostly /cruise 70, and sometimes I do go faster. ( Even though I was punished with a ticket last time I started speeding ). And honestly, I think it's okay as long as people just watch out before emerging. As someone said, it's not a really dense populated city, it's understandable players don't want to stop at red lights while delivering ( Since you're paid per delivery, plus you can't even stop your cars sometimes without getting rear ended with 200 km/h ) I just think that maybe we should teach people to slow down at intersections and check both sides, instead of flying past it top speed, or completely stopping. ( <-- Unless if they want to of course )

    Speed cameras

You could just use one of those scrapyard cars. Back on the topic; I completely support this suggestion, as there are way too many people going plus 180+ inside the city. I suggest adding cameras on the known areas where people go fast ( such as around the bank/courier headquarter, MD, etc ) to reduce speed. Maybe a 1000 fine for going too fast? Or maybe it could depend on the speed? ( up to 5k ticket if you go 100 over the speed limit ) +1
  5. either that or it would end up clearing out the NZO for vehicles But player owned garages would be nice. Let the players set the prices.
  6. +1 I honestly think that there should be added in a player owned parking garage system. Allow players to park their car in the parking lot, but script in gates, so the cars cant just be stolen. I think it would add a lot if vehicles were actually visible at the parking lots, it would definitely add to the immersion of an active city. Maybe add some scripted gates so people cant just hijack your car and drive away?
  7. Thank you for making this thread. I agree that non rp driving is a huge problem. I've been driving a courier truck for a while now, and I do agree that I sometimes end up speeding, which have already given me a ticket or two. But I follow the road signs and I stay in my lane. Yet, most people that pass me, and its almost always super cars that does this, are all over the road, swerving all over the road, both on the right side and the left side of the road. I understand if something ICly happen that give you a good reason for driving like this ( Being chased by the cops ) But it seems like everyone does it, going 120 on the wrong side of the road ( or the right side of the road for that matter ) for no other reason than to get from A to B faster. It's honestly like some players think that driving have nothing to do with RP. I would love players to be punished for non-rp driving, so +1 from me. That being said, there's only 3 legal speed limits, and it aint that hard to remember 70 for city 110 for bigger roads outside the city 130 for highway /cruise 70 is great, I always have it set so I can toggle it when I hit the city.
  8. I mean, if we can just /unplug our chargers, that would be more than fine with me. Then stores could also up the price for chargers, as players are able to take it with them.
  9. I think 10 years old is pretty underage, and I personally don't see how it could be properly roleplayed. But I don't believe in restricting it, like if you can roleplay it, then go ahead. But as said, I think it's important to have some proper guide lines and rules to make sure people don't abuse this opportunity for their own sick fantasies or so.
  10. I believe we should have it more clear. Maybe adding it into the rules would be nice.
  11. So here's the thing. As long as there ain't a functional government, then we can't change the driving age or lessen the criminal punishment, even if you're underage ( As there's no parlament to suggest it, and no proper government to accept and enforce it ) But I do think it's important to make guidelines if people want to roleplay as an earlier age than 16, ICly. For example, I think that we should have strict rules against any form for ERP if you're roleplaying a character that's under 16 years of age. Not to limit players roleplay experience, but to avoid stuff like pedophilia being a rp thing.
  12. To be fair, thats how you play most games these days, you grind for currency to buy better gear or transportation. I see a lot of people driving around in fast sports car, which is completely fine, but I just wonder how many people actually roleplay that they saved up for said car, or if it even match their playstyle. ( Sure you can be a criminal with a nice car, but is it realistic to drive around in a super fast, top modded sport car, if all you do is just rob random people? ) Would be nice to see people putting more time into their character, truly developing it.
  13. Maybe a video containing information regarding the factions / NCZ or some standard locations, such as the comunity parking area, moors and so on, explaining what you can do at those places and maybe some roleplay ideas. ( Ex: showing that you can pay tickets at the PD, and speak with officers, maybe report a crime as an example? ) I hope I gave you some useful ideas
  14. It's likely that the bug is because you're placing the charge into a vehicle that you do not own.
  15. Keep it up, new players need a good role model to teach them about the do's and the dont's of the server and of roleplaying.
  16. Make rules against chain robbing and forcing players to have more rp than -> Handsup -> /do do I succed in frisking you. Allowing players to do the bare minimum of roleplay to get away with robbing others and dm/kosing, is encouraging this kind of behavior in new players. Is that really what we want, as a community and as a server? If so, are players leaving/not staying on the server actually a problem? If the server aims it roleplay around robbers and cops, while being in neither of these groups are just treated as a minority, shouldn't we change the description and application quiz to fit better in with whats actually going on, on the server? If not, should the development team not focus more time on adding civilian content, to encourage players choosing the civilian lifestyle?
  17. I read the report you made, in which one of the guys who broke the rules, said; I think this is a wonderful example of a problem that's happening to the server. Imagine a player joining the server for the first time, maybe its their first roleplay experience, maybe they are trying to find out what they should roleplay/what roleplaying is. You are still new and trying to learn from others, what roleplaying is, and how people roleplay. As you progress, still not choosing either a faction or a gang, you reach a point where you're no longer secured by the new player xp protection. And bam, you start getting robbed. And trust me, you're more likely to experience robbery rp than actual rp. No wonder these players then start becoming robbers, everyone else is doing it! You see other people robbing people and not really roleplaying, well that's not fair, why shouldn't you do just that! Get yourself further up the food chain. And that is the sad reality, players are enabling this behavior by continuing to rob others. Honestly, the best way to counter this is by making better rules and restrictions, or by giving average gang/faction-less players an advantage/perks/benefits. As Com783 said, by constantly adding stuff to make the factions and criminal lifestyle seem more lucrative, the civilian lifestyle seem less and less tempting, resulting in players choosing to completely ignore that path.
  18. The server do have high standards concerning your ability to write and understand english, as well as being able to follow the rules. I suggest that you read up on the things that you're uncertain about, and give it another go, do bear in mind that one application can take anywhere from 1 hour and up to a day to get accepted/denied ( depending on the timezone etc )

    Low PC

I had some stuttering issues that was almost fixed by going into my graphic cards settings and change it manually. Heres the link: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/828040/-resolved-gta-v-stutter-fix/?offset=29 And here's the things I did to up my performance ( copy pasted from the link ) I did 3 things from this thread: 1. I went to Nvedia control center > 3D settings > Program settings I picked "Grand Theft Auto V (gta5.exe)" and changed Maximum pre-rendered frames to "1". I set Shader Cache to "Off". And I put threaded optimization to "On". 2. I launched GTA and put Grass Quality to "Normal" in graphics settings. 3. Inside GTA I turned Extended Distance Scaling all the way down in advanced graphics settings. Hope it helps.
  20. +1 Adds to the realism as well as being a nice feature.
  21. ^^ As stated earlier, I dont see how it should be abused if the code is well good enough Can you explain this in more depth? I dont know about the things that goes on 'backstage'
  22. It seems like there's a divided group within the community. But yea, prices shouldn't be absurd, but then again, people are going 100 + within the city for no rp reasons most of the time, so taking better care of your car isn't that bad of an idea.
  23. The idea is to take the smaller burdens from the staff team and put it over on the beta testers. Main development would most likely still be done by the staff team, but as you mentioned, things such as bugs could be handled by beta testers, thus giving staff team more time to focus on bigger and more important things.
  24. You put it in great perspective. I just find the amount of robbing that's going on to be extreme, it overwhelmed even my wildest expectations I had before joining. I'm still new to the server, and I just want to give players more 'safe' spaces as long as they are out numbered against robbers. At the current state of the server, non-criminal players are very limited on what they can earn money on. If they choose to remain faction-less, then getting a job is pretty much the only way to go. While I enjoy driving around as a courier, the driving can be very repetitive. That's why I enjoyed doing the farmer job, as I could stay in the same area and had time to roleplay if I wanted to. I agree that you could ask the PD to maybe have a unit in the area, but there's a lot of criminal activity going on, especially with robbers robbing stores, and the fact that the police are outnumbered, doesn't really give farmers a fair chance. I think we need to add another job like farmer, but located much closer to the PD, to decrease the robbing chances, or somehow strenghen the farming areas. Maybe give farmers a panic button? Give farmers an upper hand to even the odds.
  25. Greetings, So, I'm not aware if this is already a thing, but if not, then I think its needed. With the recent patch, several players reported problems. I noticed on the Bug Report sub-forum, and it looks like its generally @NobodyLTU who test the technical problems. I think that it would be nice to remove some of the work, by creating a Beta team, which purpose is to test out bugs and new updates, on a beta server. Beta testers could be average players, not from the admin team, who maybe have past experience with how the engine work etc. They could make reports and videos, and relay it to the admin team, who could take actions from there, but saving them the time it take to re-create a problem and check for bugs. Hope you like my suggestion, please add your two cent and tell me what you like/dislike. For: 10 Against: 0 For/Against is based on the replies made to the suggestion thread and not on likes
