ECLIPSE Roleplay Update Notes - 1.0.7

 

General Updates, Additions, Fixes and Removals

  • Added trucking license as a requirement to renting a truck.
  • Added Auto Locking of vehicle doors for VIPs (/autolock, /toggleautolock, /toggleal).
  • Added VIP Chat toggle. (/togglevipchat, /togglevc).
  • Added OOC event system - Staff can create many types of events with prizes that players may join
  • Added lots of admin cmds which you don't need to know about but wil help improve the server's quality
  • Added convertible rooftop customization to Windsor drop top
  • Added live stream radios
  • Added /selectcargo for players who have issues with trucker UI
  • Added a second mechanic shop
  • Added stall engine when vehicle is flipped upside down or sideways
  • Added auto-recreate for police units on relog,

  • Updated voice chat multiple times between 1.0.6 and 1.0.7 - visible changes include nametags being coloured green when talking and noticeable changes include much less voice desync (players should no longer have to move around to get it to work again) and it now runs on a different, much faster relay server so it shouldn't lag out or die completely anymore
  • Updated quiz cooldown to 12 hours from 1 hour
  • Updated quiz entirely with new questions that may be added/removed live
  • Updated regular IC chat to capitalize first letter of sentence
  • Updated rental car max speed to 80
  • Updated City Bee rental car location at hospital to across the street inside the bus station
  • Updated police emergency calls to panic alarms using their radio and radio's GPS location
  • Updated revive at hospital for players to be frozen for a minute and need to be /drag'd by a cop if they are in handcuffs
  • Updated login screen, it looks cool and rotates around an area now.
  • Removed some animations that were allowing players to cheat their way through walls
  • Removed blips from deaths for medics, players now have to /911 to get medical attention

Criminal Update

The update everyone has been waiting for is out. Now players who run a criminal faction can own a turf with a warehouse attached to it. These warehouses can make orders, players must grab the shipments of guns and drugs when they are announced and bring it back to the warehouse for further distribution. Make sure you don't lose the shipment!
 

Alliances, Gang Wars and Neutral Standing

The faction interface has a
Diplomacy
tab, where faction leaders can declare war upon other factions, offer peace or forge alliances. This is an official way of managing your relations. Factions cannot attack turfs without declaring war on their owners and allies can help defend these areas. Factions that do not have any common relations will consider each other as neutral.

 

Gun Stores

Gun stores have been rewritten from scratch. They have been converted into a player owned business, this means that players have to stock their businesses and can set custom pricing. Gun stores cannot function without truckers, because they will have to deliver new stock. The business is a lot more functional than other businesses.
 
  • /buybusiness - the only command that's self-explanatory.
  • Press 'E' - opens the shop interface and locks/unlocks doors!
  • This is a legal business, therefore it will only sell goods to citizens who have a valid weapon permit!
  • The interface will no longer get stuck on the infamous 'AP Pistol'.
  • The interface will display the weapon price and stats, you will also see the weapon in the hand of a NPC.
  • Customizable business name and merchandise pricing.
     
     
  • Business balance that is used to import new stock, can be deposited to and withdrawn from.
  • The owner can place a custom price for the business and put it for sale or cancel this action.
     
     
  • The owner can hire up to 5 managers, who have full access to the business, however they can't sell or change the price of the business.
  • You cannot be an owner or manager of more than one business!
  • Truckers are required to stock the business, once you're out of stock, you can't buy new merchandise.
     
     
  • Added import tax (in the future it will be customizable by the IC government).
     
     
  • Added import modifier - a 100% modifier means that the business can only import goods for the full price, a lower modifier reduces import costs (for business further away from the city).
  • Business owners and managers have access to business logs, that contain information on recent changes, such as purchases or administrative activity.

Guns & Drugs

Players may now have access to gun parts and drugs. Drugs are controlled substances which are illegal and will get you in trouble with the law if you have them or possibly if you are under the influence of them. Drugs have a potency level, the higher the potency the longer it lasts. The effects of these drugs vary, most have screen effects and some increase your health. Be careful though, you can easily get addicted to drugs and may need medical care. Gun Parts are items for gaining guns, ammo and components (extended clips, flashlights, silencers and scopes). All the commands below explain how the system works, but you don't need to memorize ANY of them, all commands down there can be done by simply pressing I to open your inventory and clicking "Drugs" or "Guns", or you can type /drugs or /parts to open the inventories with the button pressing options that direct to all the commands below. You can press U next to a car to open a car's inventory for the same effect.
 
 
Commands
 
  • /stashspot - Set the stash spot for your house for the gun parts/drugs to be stored/found in.
  • /drugs - Show your drug inventory! You may also press I to view your regular inventory and hit the "Drugs" button. Furthermore, you can use /tdrugs for text drugs if you want it displayed in chat.
  • /guns or /parts or /comps - Show your gun parts inventory! Same with drugs you can press I and click "Gun Parts," as well as type /tguns to view the text gun inventory.
  • /housedrugs or /hd - Same as drug inventory but for houses /thousedrugs
  • /cardrugs or /vehdrugs or /vd or /cd - Same as drug inventory but for cars /textvd or /tvd for text inventory
  • /carguns or /vehguns or /vehparts or /cg or /vg - Same as gun parts inventory but for cars /textvg or /tvd for text inventory
  • /housedrugs or /hd - Same as drug inventory but for houses /texthd or /thd for text inventory
  • /houseguns or /hg - Same as gun parts inventory but for houses /texthg or /thg for text inventory
  • /check - Check a house or vehicle for it's drugs/guns (text-based inventory)
  • /flick or /toss - Toss a blunt once you're done smoking it
  • /leavegun or /dropgun - Leave the gun you're holding on the ground for someone to pick up
  • /takeitem or press O - Pick up a bag of drugs/gun parts or a gun that someone left
 
 
Optional commands:
If you don't feel like opening the menu everytime (which is WAY easier to use anyway so I don't know why you would want to use any of these) then here is a list of commands available for use:
 
  • /putdrug or /pd - Put a drug in a car/house
  • /putpart or /pp - Put a gun part in a car/house
  • /putalldrug or /pad - Put all drugs in a car/house
  • /putallpart or /pap - Put all gun parts in a car/house
  • /takealldrug or /tad - Take all drugs from a car/house
  • /takeallpart or /tap - Take all gun parts from a car/house
  • /takedrug or /td - Take a drug from a car/house
  • /takepart - Take a gun part from a car/house
  • /useitem or /usegun - Use a gun part from your inventory
  • /usedrug - Use a drug from your inventory
  • /givedrug - Give a drug from your inventory
  • /givepart - Give a part from your inventory
  • /dropdrug - Drop a bag of drugs on the ground for someone to pick up (DEAD DROP??)
  • /droppart - Drop a bag of gun parts on the ground for someone to pick up (DEAD DROP??)

Turf Wars

Gangs will have the option to have a turf in which they will own. You must capture 3 strategic areas within each turf to take control of it. Once a gang owns a turf, they will go to war with another gang to lose control of their turf. Turfs own Warehouses, which are explained below.
 

Warehouses

Warehouses work hand in hand with turfs. The gang that controls the turf will also control the Warehouse.

A Warehouse is sued to import illegal items such as weapons, drugs and weapons components. As long as the gang has enough money in their treasury to make the transaction, they can order anything on the list. After the order is placed, the gang will receive a notification 4 in game hours prior to the delivery of their goods. The goods will arrive at a random location (22 random locations available). The location will not have a blip, a marker or any GPS, just a location. It is down to you to locate the delivery and get it back to your warehouse as soon as possible. Once the good have been delivered, you are able to pick up a crate from the shipment container by pressing E. You are then able to deposit this crate in the rear of a vehicle (choose your vehicles wisely!) by pressing E again. You can use X to withdraw the crate and also use X to deposit the crate into your Warehouse at the Warehouse Dropoff Point.

Now that your good are in the Warehouse, you are able to withdraw them! See the notes above for instructions on how to use, give and drop them. Future updates will include breaching and searching of warehouses, with stashes and more!
