Donator & VIP Perks Update

VIP Benefits (monthly)

(could be increased based on monthly loyalty, but this would likely come in the form of Donator perks)

  • Current
    • Fuel Efficiency.
    • Free City Bee.
    • 15% Tax Deduction.
    • VIP Chat.
    • 10% off jail and fees.
    • Extra garage spots.
    • Reduced parking cost.
    • Extra cars on the map.
    • Faster Job Load/Unload
  • Proposed Additions/Changes
    • Monthly credit stipend. (gradually increases the more concurrent months you're VIP)
    • Dispatch a CityBee anytime.
    • Free daily allotment of Casino chips. (see casino overhaul idea)
    • Ability to rent a suite at the Casino (same one, tied to your character, see below)
    • More stamps when jailed.

Donator Benefits (permanent)

  • Current
    • Discord and Forum Tags.
    • (I feel like there are more, but I don't remember what they are..)
  • Proposed Additions/Changes (can even be tiered based on the amount donated)
    • More house, car and character slots.
    • A few free walking animations.
    • VIP benefits made permanent.
      • Half the fuel efficiency benefit (25%)
      • Extra cars on map.
      • Faster Job Load/Unload.
      • VIP Chat.
      • CityBee anytime.
      • Tax Reduction 5%
    • Free, unique to donators, 'credit' vehicle.
    • Free credit apartment or suite (see casino overhaul idea)
      • Tied to your character. Instead of a floor choice, you could use "0", have a 'Penthouse' or 'My Room' button. If you want to visit someone in this apartment, you'd type there name instead of a floor number.

In my honest opinion this needs to removed. It gives an unfair advantage over the rest of the playerbase. As an example, you can't re-fuel during chases as it is considered non-rp. Well how am I gonna' do compared to someone who has a 50% reduced fuel consumption for whatever reason. They already get so many benefits and that's not even a problem as long as it doesn't DIRECTLY affect RP scenarios(tax reduction won't affect anything, but your fuel tank lasting 50% longer than everyone might just).  They could just be given a discount at all gas station instead.

If the fuel efficiency is taken away I personally would see no reason to get VIP other than to support the server. I probably would no longer use VIP as its the main reason I have it for. Not sure how everyone else feels about it but I can't be alone.

I can understand your point. I have a few suggestions / ideas to improve the new fuel system as well that could balance this out a little.

Could be interesting but I would be careful not the make the VIP subscription turn this server to a pay to win because lets not forgot that donations are to support the server not a quid pro quo.

The Kamacho is now obsolete especially without the VIP fuel efficiency.

the xp gains faster with VIP too which i hate because if you're not financially able to buy the VIP then you have to spend more time playing the game which isn't fair in my opinion. basically if you have money in real life for games and stuff like that then you get higher in the server a lot faster. If i want to get a mechanics job which need 30000XP to apply then someone who has VIP will make a lot more money a lot faster while i just play a long time to get that xp

Sure time wise, but in reality since you will spend more time playing prior to obtaining required amount of XP, your knowledge and experience of the game/server/rp itself will grow much faster than someone that has had to play less amount of time. So yeah maybe they might end up reaching the 30k goal faster, but the person that has obtained it regularly will progress faster and provide higher quality due to the experience and knowledge obtained along the way imo. 

In regards to the topic itself, I agree to most things BUT I do not agree with any sort of material gains such as penthouse, car etc. It would provide too big of an incentive to purchase a VIP/Donator instead of playing the game itself. IE: Instead of dividing money on guns/ammo/clothes/fuel/vehicle/property etc, you buy donator obtain a vehicle, penthouse and on top of that perks on the side, it would take away too much from the gameplay itself as you could just funnel all the money into just a specific thing and not have to worry about half of the things you normally do in an RP environment. At the end of the day, personally I would remove any gameplay perks from donator/vip systems and only include cosmetics inside them and leave anything else to the game itself, I can get behind stuff like jail time etc. cause at the end of the day they are QoL perks but getting free stuff that someone else grinds for, nah. 

Overall: +1 with removal of assets from vip/donator perks

Donators are a essential part of Eclipse and help keep our great server running and totally deserve benefits for that, however I think the asset related benefits are too much to just give away especially with how you can already get so much via donation. Donations should be reserved to help the community while gaining a few nice perks for yourself in the process and I think the way things are right now are perfect. (Some free emotes, animations etc though wouldn't hurt I agree)
