Arrta
Add Hydroponics Units so Marijuana can be grown inside. To go with this, we should be able to grow, dry, and roll all at an inside location.
Copperhorse
-1 You'll kill labs more than they are already dead.
Skumm
I agree with @Copperhorse labs would become redundant and we would have less Crim/Crim Crim/LEO RP interactions if weed could be grown privately. But I would like to see a rework of how weed is produced and crafted into sellable marijuana. It could be improved by adding further steps to the process of creating sellable weed. For instance after harvesting the weed the weed would need to be trimmed of excess leaves using a scissors. Once trimmed the plant matter would need to be dried out, this could be a time based system similar to packed cash but in reverse (would take 24 hours to dry) with a requirement for the weed to be stored inside a building/RV or on an new Crim import item (drying rack) or as part of the existing weed tables. Fully dried each plant would be broken down or crafted into ounces with a rng chance to get between 1-3 units (ounces/lbs/kilos whatever) via the right click options in the existing inventory UI, which would be akin to getting a good or bad yeild from your crop as it would vary depending on a number of factors in real life. These units of sellable marijuana would be stackable to a certian number, maybe 10. I feel this would more realistically represent the reality of producing weed and given the extra steps/requirement to store and dry it would produce more opportunities for RP for both Crims and LEOs. Fertilizer could also be sold from humane labs, weed grown with fertilizer could produce between 2-4 units when dried, or the same 1-3 units but of a higher quality product (sensimilla). Bodhi
+1. This could be an interesting avenue to create more rp when it comes to creating newer kinds of ops like cartels. Until now, it has all been gangs taking control of labs and growing or chasing down people who take plants from labs. Thats all well and good. But maybe an opportunity to not have to interact with gangs directly would also be a viable option. Realistically there are underground ops where weed is grown independently indoors in a LIMITED amount. That could be facilitated by making it possible to install a small plot indoors which could be limited to 1 or 2 in number so people dont start a plantation. Make the rate of growth slower indoors. These are minute changes and would be relatively slower than labs, but also allows for more rp opportunities as well as crim organisation ideas
RAttlesnake7473
Here is a more in depth idea for the weed revamp which I agree with more than this suggestion
PickNic
As much as I love the idea of growing weed from your own home, it would kill labs and farmfields like people above me has said.
Kjaer
At the very least marijuana should be able to be dried in your own home, there's no "creation" of weed. Its a flower that is dried and cured. As to the growing part of this suggestion, I believe marijuana plants should be able to be planted in outdoor fields other than just the labs. But bringing grow ops indoors might stagnate crim RP to a further point.
