Xoza Posted September 3, 2020 Report Posted September 3, 2020 (edited) /mywounds /analysewounds may not be accurate in location due to desync, but it's accurate when determining what kind of injuries an individual has. "Recent Gunshot Wound" = Got Shot "Recent Melee Wound" = Got hit/stabbed with a weapon. "No Injuries" = Environment/Impact, This suggestion is based on the information provided by wounds. I have a character who does not have a cellphone and fairly adverse to technology so he has either used a radio to call for help, or just hoped someone would find him or be involved he could ask them to call for him. With the radio disabled now, he lays there quietly, staring at the stars waiting to die.. or praying to be found. If your injuries are only melee or 'impact' injuries, you should still be able to move with a little treatment and injury management. /treatwounds - would allow you to leave a downed/injured state so you could walk/limp/crawl, but you can't treat gunshot injuries. Maybe use a first aid kit to treat wounds / injuries. You would continue to bleed out and could get easily get downed again. You could take pills to stay alive longer. You will still require medical stabilization, this would only allow you to move in seek of professional help. Edited September 3, 2020 by Xoza 2
Bodhi Posted September 3, 2020 Report Posted September 3, 2020 +1. This could also be helpful at times when there are no EMS players during the slow hours
Weecey Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 +1, I think the use of a action timer would be beneficial, if introduced.
Aldarine Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 As much as I see how this would be overall beneficial to people who want to be around moving, I find it highly unrealistic to be able to self treat multiple stab wounds, hatchet wounds, etc. to the extent of being able to walk around and use pills to extend your time being in a "normal" state. If somebody gets stabbed a considerable amount of times, they wouldn't get very far and moving would ultimately make them bleed out faster. Painkillers shouldn't be seen as something life prolonging, they just numb the pain but don't realistically stop you from potentially dying. Ultimately I am not sure where the middle ground for this would be to be quite frank, just thought I would share tid bits that would relate to this suggestion.
Machete Posted September 9, 2020 Report Posted September 9, 2020 Realism has already been thrown out of the window when deathRP got removed and when you can call 911 but cant click a single button on your radio anymore. The way the already bad deathRP system just got removed so now people literally live after getting shotgunned in the face, or blasted any other heavy weapon. Which already happened all of time but yeah its even worse now. Nobody here has a single clue how fucked up LA really is robbery wise, The city feels like europe, not America. To the people who invted the new robbery rule. You sure as hell have no clue how bad it really is in LA. There aint no point anymore in suggesting anything that promotes realism, It ain't happening +1 1
Xoza Posted September 17, 2020 Author Report Posted September 17, 2020 Agreed with points made, really largely comes down to a radio not being able to be used. But agreed also that obviously if you've been injured multiple times, you should bleed out faster. However, you are not 'absolutely incapable of moving' IRL using sheer willpower of attempting to survive, even via gunshot injuries. What about the ability to crawl? + The rate of bleeding out based on the count and type of injuries?
HaNd Posted September 29, 2020 Report Posted September 29, 2020 I see a lot of EMS not on duty sometimes so I agree with this a lot +1.
HaNd Posted September 29, 2020 Report Posted September 29, 2020 I also agree with the crawl aspect and bleeding on what your doing Xoza +1
