Badger Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 Added automatic payment of tickets when being jailed for criminal charges (not regular tickets only misdemeanor/felony ones) This needs to be removed, hard enough for criminals to earn money as it is. It will Destroy the Criminal life. 1

Lord Pepe Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 Most criminals try supercars, maybe give it a week or so to trial this before considering removal. -1, for now. 1
Badger Posted September 7, 2017 Author Report Posted September 7, 2017 What happens if we don't have money? and i never once saw this on the server suggestions, or any of the community updates what @Spark deals with.

Yea I agree with that, give it a week. But Criminals don't have money to pay for fines, we save up for guns. For someone who kills cops, the least of his worries would be paying his fines. Also, what happens if we get a 15k fine lets say but we only have 8k? Do we go negative or only pay 8k?
flow Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 Absolutely not. Actions need to have consequences. You all want to drive supercars, pay your fines.
Badger Posted September 7, 2017 Author Report Posted September 7, 2017 Well Negative balance it is, but yeah needs to be removed. PD members will say no cause they want to "Win"

flow Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 You'll say remove because you don't want to lose. We can have this argument all day Mike. It's RP. We simulate a real life environment where actions do have consequences, financial ones. You'd be skinned if you didn't pay your tickets. They freeze all of your accounts and take your assets. So really, what you're doing is campaigning against more RP and realism.

Making money is already hard enough if you don't transfer money over from you alts (which you are not supposed to), so doing the fine thing will just decrease crime rate, and without criminals, cops will be useless...
flow Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 I don't see how you all don't have money when you drive Zentornos and shoot people up with ARs. Do you see how it's hard for me to believe?
3Bot Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 Well it doesn't cost to drive cars does it? No...... Also, weapons are sold, so some profit is made, but not enough to just waste 15k on fines. Why don't you try criminal life and then speak 1 minute ago, flow said: I don't see how you all don't have money when you drive Zentornos and shoot people up with ARs. flow Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 Who pays for the supercars? Surely that money needs to come from somewhere? And You can buy an AR for what, 20k? An item you lose probably twice daily on a bad day, but the fines are too much?

Just a heads up, though I don't want to get involved in this debate.

Paying for cars with the long time saved money most have from farming/trucking/fishing etc which you have to actually work hard to get.
Badger Posted September 7, 2017 Author Report Posted September 7, 2017 Some people may have worked hard for the cars they have and decided to go criminal
3Bot Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 Whilst I agree that the autopay might be more realistic, it will make the whole game less fun. But for now why don't we just try it out and see how it works?
flow Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 Okay, so what's the issue with making it more risky to go around and commit felony crimes? Murder, GTA, etc etc. Is this not a good opportunity to stop the nonsense of openly going around committing crimes in broad daylight on a busy street, but instead take it to the hidden areas, be secretive about it, like a criminal would? Criminals are afraid of cops. Don't watch some movie and base your character off that shit. This isn't Mexico. People avoid the police, they don't actively seek them. So really, what you need to do is role play a proper criminal.
Spergburger Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 If police actually knew how to do their jobs I'd maybe consider this, but I still wouldn't like it, but as someone who's been given improper fines and been fined for crimes I didn't commit before having an auto pay system for them is idiotic. I'm not paying for stuff I didn't do. +1 on this being removed
Osborn Posted September 7, 2017 Report Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) -1/+1 - Remove welfare checks and then I can support the removal of auto fines. Welfare checks were added due to the outrageous amount of whining of the initial penal code release and the high fines. It was added because people were complaining that they did not want to do scripted jobs to make money when they're criminals so that they could pay off fines. And now, no one's still paying fines. Do you honestly think your government is going to be giving you full welfare checks if you've got fines unpaid by the government? PD is not trying to win anything, if you pulled yourself together and joined PD you'd see how many situations we lose either by our own will or to our disadvantage. We're trying to create a more realistic environment. Edited September 7, 2017 by FatherOsbornHD
