Hilbert Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 I understand that bringing negativity to the forum is bad thing and some snowflakes will probably get butthurt, but since we have upvote, can't we also have downvote?
Luxas Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 I disagree with this post. +1 though for real, also a laughing emote if possible!
kenichis Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 I think a good roster would be to just have "heart", "upvote", "funny", "downvote" and some sort of reverse heart. +1
Aldarine Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 -1 We shouldn't have any reactions that can bring negativity to a post or make a mockery of it. We strive to maintain a positive and open environment on the forums. If you disagree with a post you have two options, either post a -1 and explain (if you are kind enough to do so) or simply move on. At the end of the day we are all trying to make the community better. Player reports on the forums shouldn't be laughed at, downvoted, etc. and the same goes for server suggestions made by players, no matter how silly or odd they may be. All this does is lead to negative feelings and another form of forum war when people are upset over something or don't like someone for whatever reason (IE: two groups of people in an IC disagreement and one group finds forum posts by the other and just downvotes them for no real legitimate reason related to the post and in turn artificially makes it seem like the suggestion, or whatever else, is bad).
Osborn Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 Hello, thank you for your suggestion. Aldarine summed it up pretty well, we recently removed the ability to "downvote" posts because it was being misused, and used to an extent where forum users were being harassed for e.g. posting a player report. If you want to disagree with something on an open post, you can post on that maturely and forward your reasoning for disagreeing. We are not looking to implement this back right now. - Osborn. 1
