Remove aliases when name change.

The suggestion is very simple, when a player changes his name (which is usually equivalent to a CK) his alias is removed from other players characters.

People can legally change their names, so it is not always a case due to a CK. should be the case only when you get CKed, but you should also lose all aliases you have set as well.

Aliases should not be reset after a name change... its not realistic. Like you can change your name and people will be calling you by your old name and you will RP that you changed your name and they should call you with your new name (change your alias)

 

On the other hand plastic surgery should reset Alias since you look different

I am talking as if a new name is most probably due to CK so it's a new character

Honestly if someone CK's, they should stop playing that character and make a new one. Simply changing your name and calling it a CK isn't RP. Because you get to keep all your belongings, like money, houses and everything. It's basically avoiding the character asset transfer system in the end. So no, a simple name change would not make you immune to other people identifying your character and your criminal history and other records would transfer over. You can get plastic surgery and try to RP it with a /do, but even that has a chance people may still recognize you, so it's not bulletproof. 

If you want to play a new character, simply create a new one.

There are quite a few suggestions about CK and renames already.

• True CK would essentially delete your character and release all assets, resetting you to a new character. If you only have one character slot, all this would have to do is change your Stranger ID and could be free. This could also be a way to transfer XP from one character to a new character if you want to try something new. This would reset your alias's because you're playing a different Stranger ID which I believe aliases are tied to.
• Character Rename wouldn't be a CK, shouldn't clear any assets or criminal past, could be first and/or last names.

-1, the current way people CK is really bad and makes no sense to me; people essentially kill off their character but still have all their stuff and usually have all of the convenient connections they had before (seen a few times in LSC so we had to change policies ooc etc). If you want to RP a new character, make a new one.

It'd be a lot better for the server if the changes mentioned by Xoza were implemented at some point, but for now I think a name change should act as that; a name change.
