Pon Posted August 5, 2019 Report Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) Okay so im kinda new to the server, i came from a SAMP community with a higher RP expectations than you can see here and maybe im to nerdy for this server, and thats okay. But i wanna talk about the masks. 90 percent of the server is running around wearing masks, to me thats non rp. You wouldnt walk around the streets with a balaclava in the middle of the day would you? Running into the bank with your face masked? Everywhere you go you see players with monkey masks, clownmasks, balaclavas, bandanas etc etc. Im sugesting either get a scripted timer for how long you can use a mask or make it non RP to use a mask when you're not doing criminal stuff. Riding around with a mask over your face in the city is imo is NON-RP, how often do you see a person with his faced covered? And before you go +1/-1 please think of the rp and not your own personal gain! Edited August 5, 2019 by Pon
Pon Posted August 5, 2019 Author Report Posted August 5, 2019 And tbh, how many criminals uses a mask irl? Like if theres a chance of CTV/cameras then sure you would use a mask. But im pretty sure most robberies to another person happens without a mask over the robbers face.
Victor Einhart Posted August 5, 2019 Report Posted August 5, 2019 It's an IC issue that's being handled IC.

SaltyPython Posted August 5, 2019 Report Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) This discussion has come up multiple times and the last time this came up, it was decided it should be solved ICly; hence, the introduction of the "Face Concealment" law. However, I do feel like people just put on their masks whenever cops leave and take it off when they arrive, so people still wear masks all the time. I agree it's very unrealistic, and I really think it should count as being non-RP. People with masks at Bank/very public places is just kinda absurd imo. I do think people wearing masks in the countryside and in LS ghettos is 100% fine Edited August 5, 2019 by SaltyPython 1
Mopop Posted August 5, 2019 Report Posted August 5, 2019 -1 Scripted timers on when you can wear something on your face, yeah that sounds like nonRP though to me. Ughhh I wore this mask 8 minutes ago, I cannot lift it to my face, ughhh too heavy...

How often do you see someone drive around with a mask irl?
Xoza Posted August 5, 2019 Report Posted August 5, 2019 People wearing masks, sure sounds suspicious. Call PD 1

Cyrus Raven Posted August 5, 2019 Report Posted August 5, 2019 IC'ly it is already against the law to wear a mask and can carry a fine of 500 or worse if people are using it while committing another crime. From an OOC prespective, a lot of things done in this server are unrealistic, but then again I think it's an environment cultivated from the current laws in place and people in the city, so it should be handled IC'ly. P.S. Since wearing a mask is technically illegal it would also technically mean that it breaks the NCZ rules if used at the bank. However, I am fairly certain admins don't enforce it as a rule breach.
