Eliza Posted December 13, 2025 Report Posted December 13, 2025 Who is the suggestion for? This suggestion is meant for both criminal and law enforcement players, mainly those involved in organized crime scenarios and major police responses. Why is the suggestion being made? This idea comes from seeing a lot of situations turn into number-based shootouts instead of meaningful roleplay. Entire gangs are sometimes able to stack together and overwhelm smaller groups, while law enforcement can also respond with very large numbers. When this happens, it often feels less about strategy or roleplay and more about who has more people online at the time. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? Pros: - Helps prevent entire gangs from grouping up and wiping smaller criminal groups. - Stops situations from being flooded by excessive law enforcement response. - Encourages more tactical, roleplay-focused scenarios rather than pure gunfights. - Creates more balanced and enjoyable encounters for everyone involved. Cons: - Larger gangs or departments may feel slightly restricted at first. - Would need clear guidelines so players understand when exceptions apply. How should the suggestion be implemented? - Set a hard limit of 5 criminals allowed to participate together in a single criminal activity. - Allow up to 8 LEO to actively respond to that situation at one time. - Include an exception for situations that naturally escalate on scene (for example, if someone starts shooting at a gang HQ, anyone already present should be allowed to defend). With these limits in place, the backup breach rule could potentially be removed, since group sizes would already be capped. Quote
AtlasOLimbo Posted December 13, 2025 Report Posted December 13, 2025 -1 One of the reasons why I've stuck to Eclipse is this ability to have these large-scale, grandiose encounters. Sucks to be limited to how many friends I can partake in something in simply because a rule says I can only have so many friends present. Small groups have to work around big groups it's true, but I think to a degree that's how it should be. A majority of the large groups in F4 have worked very hard to get to and stay where they are, they're rewarded their high-tier imports and the likes as a result that they then feed to lower, less-established groups. Thus is the pecking order. Quote
Earl Mud Posted December 13, 2025 Report Posted December 13, 2025 (edited) +/-1Honestly I feel from the criminal side it would be too easy to exploit. Also before anyone replies to my comment I at max run with like 3 people doing crim if I am lucky and not running alone like most of the time unless I join in on a bank with another gang once a month or so. If people know only 5 people max are supposed to be present for an activity it immediately let's them know potential max numbers so a 5 man running around knows they have matched numbers while going in blind to any situation instead of them having to actually scout properly and gather Intel. HobGoblin Posted December 13, 2025 Report Posted December 13, 2025 I agree but this needs to wait for more crim activities to be added to the server. The reason it works on fivem is they have a lot to do so cops have a lot to respond to. 1 Quote
SteakHappy Posted December 14, 2025 Report Posted December 14, 2025 -1 If there was A LOT more to do, I could agree. Unfortunately, the pickings are very slim so if I have 10 people on, we need to all 10 be able to do the same activity. Quote
