TheCanadian Posted April 9, 2019 Report Posted April 9, 2019 (edited) The XP requirement of new players should be increased abit in my opinion considering you can get rid of it pretty rapidly with still little to know knowledge of how the city works, Gans vs legal, etc. However, with this I also propose a second suggestion and the main reason for this post: If new players are actively participating in an illegal activity, remove their ((New Player)) immunity, allow others to rob them.(Cooking at labs, chopping, hitting stores, etc.). I cannot tell you the amount of times I roll up on people doing a big Cook or hitting stores and they're either all new players and all we can do is 'shoo' them out, or they're a mix of new player and regular, in which case most of the time the normal players use the new player as their stash because they cannot be robbed according to the rules. This rule is abused way too much on the illegal side of things in my opinion. Magical barrier stopping you from getting 50x of each drug on the man because he's a new player. This would also lead to civilian RP being more viable as it would extend your protection from being robbed until you are more settled in the city and have a better idea of how things work. Kai Posted April 9, 2019 Report Posted April 9, 2019 -1. By lengthening the protected status, you're just removing part of roleplay from them. Being robbed is just part of it and often helps players decide what they want to do. Do they want to be a cop to stop it happen? Do that. Join that gang, or maybe you hate them so you join their enemy? Maybe you want to just avoid it and get into a safer job like mechanic, DCC or whatever. There will always be lazy people or just people who don't find things out before New Player runs out.
Levi208 Posted April 9, 2019 Report Posted April 9, 2019 +1 protected ((new players)) stunts are indeed getting a tad ridiculous. I agree. If you're a criminal the new player tag should go, after all what're you expecting not to get robbed up at a druglab based on a rule like that? It's downright non RP

What are your thoughts on the second part of this suggestion however?
