  1. Whilst Xoza's idea is good and I support it, it is for something else. My suggestion is primarily for a notification system and one that would remain on the phone, easily noticed without needing to open the phone at all. This is something that Xoza's suggestion would not resolve. Again, great suggestion for Xoza but it's just a different suggestion.
  2. Big fat -1. If you look at this without bias, you're asking for factions who spend nothing on their guns, lose nothing on death and have no sense of loss, to be given more free stuff which only makes their firearms stronger. PD are already way too strong and do not require any further positive modifications to their firearms. These attachments are not simply cosmetic. A little off topic but this is another request for strengthening gov. People need to remember that yes IRL some cops have some of these attachments, however gangs cannot interact the way they do in the server. Want to make everything extremely realistic and directly comparable to IRL in terms of the strength of gov factions? Congratulations you just killed the criminal RP of this server. What are cops going to use their big free guns on now?
  3. A rather simple change, but one that I think could make my life, and I'm sure many others', a lot easier. Right now, if you receive a text message on your phone, you have no idea if you don't hear the initial sound, which doesn't last long and isn't particularly loud. With people talking, engines and general noise it can be easy to miss. This can leave unanswered messages sitting there. You could expect people to open their phones and check messages, but just like real life with a lock screen, it's much easier when you can see it at a quick glance in some form to save you stopping, opening your phone, going to messages and doing it that way. Furthermore, new unread texts aren't differentiable to old read ones. This makes it harder again to keep track of when you get texts from multiple people, especially logging in to new ones. Having these in bold text if unread would be very useful. I would also like to see a change to the phone bar image whilst 'minimised' , where it flashes between inverted black/white colours for example when you get a message or have one waiting, and perhaps an extra icon at the top of the phone to symbolise that you have one unread. Once you have read the message, it would stop having the flashing or icons. With the addition of being able to easily block numbers, there's no negative to this as if someone uses this to annoy you, you can just block the number anyway.

If you have any actual examples/evidence please PM me them, otherwise I'm just going to have to ignore your comment. We have no interest for rulebreakers and I have witnessed no DMing whatsoever... especially as we have staff in our leadership. You make it seem like it happens often so either its not us, the other yellow gang or.. idk. Glad you like the thread!

    The Southside Mob

A friend of a friend, is a friend. Kai woke up, grabbed his morning coffee and got dressed. He came out of his house, hopped into his car as his phone began to ring. Cleetus Walker was in town, and he wanted to organise a meeting. Cleetus had already spoken with Jae Fang of the Four Seas Order with plans to meet and so a time was set. Kai gathered a few of the men whilst the others continued running drugs. Once the text came through that everyone was ready, the Southside Mob drove over to the Four Seas Order and met on the roof. The topic of conversation was to be as expected when two organisations meet for the first time officially in this way. Everyone got to know each other and pleasantries were shared. Kai and Jae discussed where their allegiances would lie, especially in regards to the Council, as well as what their plans were going forward. Knowing that Cleetus was close friends, and the Southside Mob's already made plan for who they support, the pair continued to discuss their agendas for a short while. Some friendly advice was shared and intentions made clear; and things looked good. It was obvious that paths would once again cross in the future but Kai was keen to see what form this would take. Once the discussions were over, the men bid their farewells and concluded the meeting. Kai has Jae's number, and vice versa. The same goes with Cleetus.

    The Southside Mob

New Blood Kai is interrupted in his driving with a call over the radio. Valentine is informing Kai of some new people to introduce to the gang, people that have been found by Johnny. Valentine tells Kai of those who are wishing to roll with them and what they're looking for. They appear to be a good fit. The Mob gather a couple of the guys together and meet the new prospects. A few discussions are had, and Kai lays out the law of the crew and what rules need to be followed to be integrated into the way of life. With great enthusiasm, the new blood are keen to get involved and want to take their opportunity to join. To see the abilities of these new men, the Mob sets their sights on a General Store. With the opportunity for easy money, the crew get together and agree to hit it. The group set out their roles, keeping some outside as lookouts, whilst the others would head inside. Everyone had their instructions and their role to play in the robbery so that this could go down as smoothly as possible, and hopefully, without having to injure the shopkeeper if not necessary. The adrenaline sets in. The all clear is called out by the lookouts and it's on. It's go time. They rush in, masks and gloves on, holding up the shopkeeper. One of them goes for the cameras, destroying them so that they could not be used against them, as well as another rushing for the video evidence, taking and destroying any footage. Everyone had their role and they played it. The streets were quiet, with only a few sirens here and there but none heading towards the store. The robbery was smooth. No unexpected arrivals, and upon cleaning out the register and ensuring anything tying them to the store was taken care of, they escaped. The new blood did well, and so they were accepted into the ranks of the Southside Mob with visions of prosperity ahead.

    The Southside Mob

The aftermath, and the other side of the coin Today, another meeting has taken place. This time, between Southside Mob and Murdablock. With the war with The Council still ongoing, a member of Murdablock reaches out to Kai for a meeting. They wanted to know where we stood, what we wanted to do, and more importantly, who we would be helping. For now, Murdablock are not wearing their own colours, attempting to lay low for now. By now, the war has quietened, with an almost eerie atmosphere descending onto Los Santos. It is the second notable day of the fights and the initial explosion to mark the beginning of the war has passed. A long night of gunfire, sirens and screeching tires now turns to silent streets, quietly patrolling pigs and the occasional car chase flashing red and blue, and this time, that doesn't mean the police. There are whispers of plans, needs and the tide of war already. Both civilians and criminals alike have the war on their lips, regardless of how much they know about what is going down. Everyone wants to know who is winning, who is taking part and why this has happened. The person meeting Kai was Lulu. Someone Kai had talked to before. They were interested in gauging who we supported. The answer was not that simple, and it was not ready to be given out. Kai is soon to discuss things further with Cleetus, and with so many things going on, the Southside Mob did not want to yet disclose their position to anyone. Lulu and Kai talked about how the war was going, what their short term plans were as well as what may be needed. It was of great interest to know where Murdablock stood and what the next sunrise may bring. The two exchanged a few phone numbers for any future communication. Both sides would have their answer of where the Southside Mob stood soon enough.

    The Southside Mob

Convening with old friends, new friends, or enemies? The scene around Los Santos is fragile, and now even more volatile than ever. With the changing winds in criminal activity, new battle lines are being drawn up, sides being taken and many criminal organisations are keen to feast on the carcass that is, or was, Los Zetas in an attempt to take their place, or to exploit The Council's weakness of one less gang in their ranks. Murdablock along with their many allies, now look to overthrow The Council, attempting to take their place at the head of the table in Los Santos and it's roots of criminal activity. Both sides of conflict have many numbers behind them, and with much blood to be spilled, and profit to be made both now and in the future, it is time for the Southside Mob to pick a side. The Southside Mob, after being invited to help Murdablock and their allies by Murdablock themselves, decided to take a careful look at their options. Being a new gang on the scene, these early decisions could prove pivotal and would be dangerous if taken lightly. The wrong decision could mean the end for the Southside Mob. The decision ahead would shape the Mob's future, not just in their relationships, but in their position in the city as a whole. With friends on both sides, the choice is not an easy one, and not one that could be instantly made without consideration. Kai DeVito, already has an opinion. One that he is certain of in terms of which side he will fall on, however he is not one to drag his crew in without the thought it deserves. In an effort for information, Kai reached out to his friends and acquaintances in Los Aztecas, who are of course on the side of The Council at this moment in time. The two organisations arranged a meeting. Kai brought his brother, Damon DeVito and his close friend, Valentine. He wanted to see where things lied, and more importantly, what was really happening behind the scenes. The meeting would last a while, exchanging pleasantries before getting down to business. Kai already knew which side he would fall, but a discussion was needed. Hearing about who may be winning, from both sides of the war is of great interest. Of course both sides may consider themselves to be coming out on top this early on, but you can usually see in their eyes as to the truth in it. This was Kai's main goal. The Southside Mob have no interest in only joining the winners, but to have his family put their lives on the line, it is important nonetheless. After a while, the two organisations parted ways, having discussed multiple topics at length. With the Southside Mob now with more information to aid their decision. The Mob now had a choice to make, and one that would need to be made soon...

    The Southside Mob

Introducing: Kai DeVito Kai DeVito, born in England, UK, was raised by his Italian father and English mother. Kai grew up in the streets of London with a close link to his Italian heritage with family constantly visiting from Italy and America. His morals and steadfast principles ingrained from his father and uncles who he looked up to to a great degree. Whilst his mother often tried to steer Kai clear from any criminal activity at a young age, trouble would often find its way into his daily schedule. His father wasn't the best influence along with his uncles in his mother's eyes which would often be the topic of discussion around the dinner table, but Kai didn't mind. At the age of 22, Kai was completing his education in Business & Management when he had an opportunity in America to move in with his family in Los Santos, America. This concerned Kai's mother but his father managed to smooth things out as long as Kai promised to behave. Upon reaching Los Santos, Kai settled quickly in his new life. At first he tried to stay away from any criminal activity as he promised, taking standard jobs, working for his family and Weazel but it didn't sit right. The temptation became too strong and after a visit from some family in Italy and a bad experience with some corrupt police officers, Kai had had enough and quit the civilian life. Kai, and his close friend Cleetus Walker met up, discussing the prospect of creating something new to build up. Something that would never end no matter the climate. From here, the Southside Mob was formed on the streets near his home with eyes forward to the future.

    Repair kits

We were literally talking about this yesterday waiting for a mechanic forever. xD The current system needs work. As mentioned, the waiting time is too long, nobody wants to be sitting around for half an hour for a mechanic to show up. I definitely appreciate that not everything needs to be instant, but to make this problem worse, it tells us how many mechanics are online - but what people don't know is that not all of them are allowed/trained to go out. This just makes it seem like the 10+ mechanics online are just ignoring us. Having a shop item would solve this. Do I think this is always going to be needed? No. But I certainly think for now, and for a long time it's been needed.
  12. My suggestion, in my opinion, makes this whole system much much better. It allows people to leave messages without having to know the owner. As mentioned in OP - its better to not necessarily declare the owner too easily.
  13. Currently, if you're trying to get in touch or leave a message for an owner of a house, its impossible if you dont know who it is. Having a way you can leave a message where they are alerted in chat (similar to ticket system maybe) would be extremely beneficial to the server, property owners, buyers as well as friends. You'd get this notification as you enter your home, that way there is no metagaming and may encourage people to check their home and mail more often. This would certainly help with people trying to purchase houses or any other needs of contact. Theres an argument for further information, however I dont think there should be names, phone numbers or emails so that owners can remain anonymous.

    Name changing

Personally, I prefer the way name changes are now. I do not believe it should return to the in game option it had before, as this often promotes a careless attitude towards changing names. I can agree that there are plenty of reasons to change it, but unfortunately if its really worth it, then using credits is worth it. If you live in a country that does not have the ability to perform international transactions, that's unfortunate. It's a shame but that should not restrict the progression of the server or these types of decisions. This new system, in my opinion, improves the server and should remain. I am not totally familiar with the options you may have, but you could attempt to get someone to gift you credits. Either way, -1.
  15. +1 especially for Shadow's long changing times.
  16. Props on the thread design and management, hopefully RP will follow the same quality. Best of luck!
  17. Yeah but I'm not too keen on having numbers in that way on my alias for people
  18. As said above, you can't set multiple people with the same one. Whilst I could see the argument for allowing multiple people with the names, I also see this problematic in terms of immersion when you get confused between people just based on their names, even though in character you would recognise them by more than just a hovering name
  19. Once yes, but what about the next person? Set it to Strangerr? Strangerrrr?
  20. You meet someone, you get on well, you learn their name, and of course you set their /alias. However, there is no way to remove someone's alias. This could be needed under the following circumstances: 1. You've set an alias for someone from a long time ago, but you have no idea who they are. I would rather them go back to unknown IDs than names I do not recognise. 2. You accidentally set someone's alias, say you typed the wrong ID - but you don't know the name of the wrong person to replace their now incorrect alias. 3. Perhaps they changed their name in the form of CK'ing and you're happy to oblige. You no longer know their name, but perhaps they don't want to give you their new one, so they're stuck with it above their head.

    Applications

-1. The current way is that there is more strain on staff handling applications. What you are suggesting would create many more issues in game, for both players, in game staff and staff handling the forum reports.
  22. This would apply to standard jobs not factions. Factions do not decide who gets to be a courier or a money transporter.
  23. This is really simple, so I won't put too much detail into it. With the new welfare system, players are just going to take a job and take the higher paycheck from that. Therefore, I am suggesting a system where you need to have done something with the job every certain amount of time, or you would lose the job and go back to welfare. This also makes more In Character sense, where a player would have to say "sorry lads, I have to go to work" - or they risk money. Same as real life. This could work, for example, that if you do not do at least one courier job in 3 hours/paychecks, you get fired. This could also present a very small blacklist period where you couldn't simply go get the job again to avoid doing the job:
