  1. Your advice is that nobody should ever buy tacos. Great advice mate, to just remove a whole role in gameplay...
  2. The point is that the seller will say "oh its only $100" or something. The command /buytaco does not give us notification of the price or anything, it simply buys it. In this case, for $1400. It is literally the definition of scamming.
  3. Yeah it's less about the fact that the scamming is taking place - it's more that there should be a way to see what you're spending. It is against NCZ rules as no crime is allowed at all. If this was real life, nobody would somehow drag $1400 (or a more realistic but expensive irl number) for a taco... There should be a confirmation message or pop up
  4. So there has been once specific scammer telling people their tacos cost $14, or lying about what the prices are and whatever other excuse he's used, as he sits outside the NCZ bank. Upon using the command, which gives no confirmation of price or purchase, it then charges you $1400. In my opinion, this is scamming. It is therefore a crime. Therefore, in an NCZ, it shouldn't be allowed. However today I was informed by staff that it's perfectly allowed. On one hand, I could go out, buy one of these and get rich, or I could report it. This guy has made at least 30k in a tiny amount of time just by scamming people in an NCZ. This especially harms new players, not to mention the fact that he is also doing this to new players, which in itself is scamming (at least in my opinion), and as you cannot scam/thieve from new players, it's another rule break. Allowing this to occur, creates multiple problems and loopholes and I feel it is irresponsible to allow it. One fix would be at least a confirmation pop up or at least something in chat which serves as confirmation and notification of price.
  5. I have only noticed today that the underwater breathing capacity is very bad. I could hold my breath for 10 times the length it currently does in game. Now, I am not aware of any system that would improve my breathing capacity, apart from vehicles and equipment etc - but I do feel that the current capacity is too low. I would suggest raising it to 20 seconds, which is even 10 seconds lower than the average time irl. Right now I think it is maybe around 10 seconds?

    DMV License Bug

Date and time (provide timezone): N/A - I can't remember what time but I did try it again maybe 2 days ago (19th of March). No idea what time. Character name: Kai Morningstar Issue/bug you are reporting: DMV not updating licenses after passing Expected behavior: Should be giving me a valid driving license. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: So this is really just so that it's reported and visible here on the forums. I know a lot of people know about it but a couple of staff members don't, and as it's not around here on the forums it makes it difficult. There is currently a bug with the DMV that no matter how many times you take the test, and pass it, your licenses still do not update. I have taken it 3 or 4 times myself and it always says that I passed, but my license remains invalid. Most cops are aware of this too, but it makes it difficult as the excuse 'oh its a bug, I passed my test' is something that most people would use anyway. It makes it hard for players with this bug to get their cars out of impound and hard for cops to have to sort it out if they're not aware. I've had my cars released so far without issue, and gone through the LSPD application process, so luckily enough people are aware of it to not have affected me too badly, but I figured posting here would be helpful for everyone else and in the hope it will be fixed soon.
  7. Yeah I agree. Just a second ago I watched a guy with a pretty nice and expensive car get completely smashed by a bus ramming into him, crushing him against a tree. This caused his car to smoke up and rendering it useless. All because he was following the law, stopping at a red light and now has a cost due to a person breaking server rules. There should be a cost, but for more expensive cars, as this will happen somewhat often, there should be a limit.
  8. I would advise that you don't resort to calling people 'whiny kids' just because we share a valid complaint. I may well even be older than you. Thanks for input anyway I guess.
  9. That's partly my point, it will mean people don't want to donate for the nicer cars with credits, especially new players. At the very least maybe give a warning, or have a lower cost for credit vehicles considering they can't be sold etc anyway. The amount of times a person can get rammed in a day is silly, especially when the server gets more populated. 100k every day for an active player spending on repairs? No thank you.
  10. Yes but nobody is going to pay for these repairs. I probably would say no even as someone who follows the law etc if the cost was gonna be 10k. If it was less then yeah sure but 10k is a lot to shell out for it. To be totally honest, with a bit more thought, maybe cars which you buy with credits should have a lower repair cost - as they're bought with real life money and cannot be sold / scrapped. That would solve the issue of new players actually being able to afford the cars they've paid for. As I said in the OP - I do see why these costs are needed, and I don't necessarily want them too cheap either, but I do feel that $10,000 every time some idiot rams into me is a bit much. I mean you're an LSPD officer yourself, the cop that rammed into me even said sorry and then sped off - he wasn't even in a chase or anything, and there's no way I can even report him to the police. It's not like I know who it is or any way to identify them. And if even an LSPD officer doesn't stop, why would anyone else stop for me to get paid for damages?
  11. I can see why people would agree with me here, but I can also see why some may disagree, but here goes. I've purchased an expensive car on the server using credits, and unfortunately I'm already regretting it. A random person who I assume was desynced rammed through my car and another person's car, causing my car to get damaged. Not too bad though, so I continued. A little later on, a cop rammed into the back of me, and although he apologised - the damage was done. However at the time.. I didn't realise how much damage. And now an RDM'er just shot my tires out and damaged my car further... I went to go repair my car with a mechanic only to find that there's a base starter cost at just under $10,000 before labour. Whilst I understand that more expensive cars should warrant a higher cost, is it fair to charge such a high amount? Especially as we all know that most of the damage that responsible drivers receive are caused by other people.. I understand that part of my problem is that I bought an expensive car - but it is a shame to feel regret of spending money when I want to support the server, but now can't risk using my vehicle... Anyway, I suggest lowering the cost or capping it. At the very least, warn new players who want to support the server that they won't be able to cover the costs of what they are buying. I can't spend $10k+ every time I get damaged by some other person driving badly.

    Character Deletion

Hellooooo, Basically I'm a silly boy and made a character with a silly boy name. Please delete it so that I can start a new character and get going. I know there are two slots but the other was taken up by a character I promised I would only play with a friend, and that friend stopped playing - so that's useless too. The characters have maybe a 5 minute play time if that or something. The character's name is Jag_Vision - please delete this. Thanks!
