Times and fines were already reduced so heavily and somehow people still find reasons to complain no? The max time I have seen personally with VIP reduction is a little over 100 minutes. Are we seriously complaining about 100 minutes in a prison environment on an RP server? At that point if you reduce prison times even further you're out of prison and able to jump back into the same gunfight you got arrest from because you seem to forget this is a video game, if someone comes home from work they dont wanna afk in a cell for 3 hours its just a waste of time. But we cant use the video game argument any time something is an inconvenience. You're playing an RP server willingly are you not? On RP servers there are repercussions to your characters actions. Its like playing Tarkov, running an expensive kit you grinded for and then saying that prices should go down because you don't have time to grind for your expensive gun and armor again due to you working a job and its a video game. Quietthecutie Posted June 23, 2025 Report Posted June 23, 2025 (edited) There was an idea floating around a while ago of like a 3 charge maximum per arrest, which might go some way to addressing the argument of "no point being a peaceful crininal." Obviously if you involve yourself in a massive shootout that might well be 3 counts of attempted murder of a gov and a maximum sentance, but for lesser crimes it stops the entire lawbook getting hurled at you if even your most serious crime was nonviolent. This would be in Comparassion to what would be a fairly standard charge list of say " class 1, schedule 1, evading, operating a vehicle while under the infulence, driving without a licence, reckless endangerment, face concealment and resisting arrest." All of which could easily be applied to a crim for fleeing from the cops cus he has a pistol in his glove. To be clear, im not sure which side of the fence im on here, but its an idea to encourage people to not PVP 1000% if the time. Edited June 23, 2025 by Quietthecutie Quote
Wifye Posted June 23, 2025 Report Posted June 23, 2025 Unpopular opinion here but I enjoy DOC thanks to the everyone working at DOC and other inmates. I'm honestly guilty of being a tad more dumb and reckless just to end up there to enjoy the rp and company they provide. Yes I wish there was more to do but there isn't yet but I wouldn't be against raising the total max sentences cap while lowering each charge perhaps. Up the cap to 6 or 12 hours but decrease a bunch of charges so it might balance out. ALTERNATIVELY just add a feature where once your time is up, you don't automatically leave but instead need to use a command like /leavejail. So commonly am I sent to the lobby mid rp and it makes things awkward Quote
Tomvd682 Posted August 13, 2025 Report Posted August 13, 2025 Raise the time cap, lower the time for the individual charges, but let the time tick down to 0 while offline or on another character Quote
