Taser From Vehicles

1. General Rules
- Tazers should not be used on players that are moving in a vehicle (e.g. motorcycle) or from a moving vehicle (e.g. police car). Players that are tazed off an e.g. motorcycle at the same point where they begin accelerating away does not apply to this.

So, this is the current rule and how its written. with the recent addition to first person shooting for vehicle drivers, Would it be reasonable to amend this rule to allow Law enforcement on Motorcycles to use their taser against a suspect on foot?

Stationary or at low speed imo.

The rules are in place to ensure that icly, the tase can be performed as safely as possible for both the suspect and LEO. as many people are learning right now, driving at speed and trying to aim at the same time can be wildly unsafe (I have already seen many people trying to aim/take tyres at speed while driving and they almost always miss/eat a barrier.)

each situation is different but i see no problem with an LEO on a bike pulling up, seeing a suspect running past, pulling out their taser and tasing them. essientally they are standing still just straddling a bike.

the training for tasers IRL means that you shouldn't be firing them from a vehicle full stop, just bear that in mind

Those subject to potentially being tasered generally tend to stop whatever they were doing without the need for being tasered anyway. Also, those who are tasered generally don't tend to get back up and carry on doing whatever they were doing, just bear that in mind.

I'm sorry, but my experience (almost 1M xp) has shown that to be largely incorrect.

I’m pretty sure he referenced irl, too, since he quoted the irl comparison

I have to agree, but its usually new players who are still unsure of how the server works.  I've seen someone tased, and when he got back up, it was slow moving for a bit until his nerves came back around.  I don't think its realistic to be tasing someone who is in a vehicle unless the vehicle is at a dead stop, or as Demon stated, on a motorcycle.

the rule change request is to allow tasers to be used from a moving motorcycle against a suspect on foot. currently the rule is you have to be not moving. but with the shooting as a driver now implemented, it would make sense that using a taser from at least a motorcycle while chasing a suspect would be reasonable.
