  1. As of last night, around 10 or more active members of the community were timed out between one day and one week while others were straight banned. Silencing dissent among the community will not exactly "help" stop the dissent but only grow it and make it even stronger. If the administration wants the dissent to stop, they need to listen to it and really understand where it is coming from. Many of the people, including myself, were timed out for a negative remark or comment about either the community state, the server state, or moderators/administration. Take note from communist regimes, silencing the opinions of others has never gone in favor of those performing the silencing. Many of us care deeply for the friends we have made and the relationships we have with those we have met and we want to see the server be in a healthy state. We voice our concerns because we don't want to lose what brought us all together in the first place. I cannot support a KGB style discord moderation and expect it to change for the better.
  2. +1. Don't stream personally but definitely worth it to promote ecrp.
  3. I'd just like to not see PD be able to /fl and regain full AP on their armor or change out weapons at their vehicles during shoot outs. Even though its not supposed to happen, it does. Theres been a lot of discussion amongst everyone after what has happened in the last week or two with two major gangs disappearing essentially. OTF and Offgrid. Offgrid left because of the way that gang suppression is allowed to be done, which is in my personal opinion, a little over the top. If you're still here for role play that is and not here for just cop simulator. A lot of people have been discussing leaving the server as a whole due to the way that PD and SD are allowed to pull out things repeatedly and hostage situations aren't really taken seriously. To be able to pull off a large scale RP situation requires so much more effort and usually admin support behind it. Let alone to get into the more interesting RP on the server can be emotionally taxing on some. It can get exhausting. As a crim main, I'd like to see a bit more...fun? out of LEO's. I try to make my stops entertaining, and some people are...dull at best. Like they can't be asked to even try to RP. Id like to see it a lil more balance between the amount of responding officers to a single back up. Obviously, if its a large scale shoot out, then thats a bit different. Such as the one this last week. But if its a bank robbery...why is the entire force showing up. The number of times I've been pulled over for speeding and had six cruisers on me for no reason. Its getting to the point that the RP is turning into revenge anger and not LEO v Crim. Something needs to be done or there won't be any crims left in the server.
  4. Agreed. We need some alternatives other than just banning or admin jail. +1
  5. Okay, well.... now to edit my previous response. There's still a few around. Found that out last night that. But at least there's still good men on this server who stand up the best they can for the girls. I've seen it both times now. And thankfully it's not a regular occurrence.
  6. Its been a nice change, and people who are newer to the city or have come back once informed have reacted positively to being told. I've thankfully only ever had one interaction on the server where I was not asked and encountered it but that has been it and that was before the enforcement. Its definitely been a more positive change in my opinion.
  7. I have to agree, but its usually new players who are still unsure of how the server works. I've seen someone tased, and when he got back up, it was slow moving for a bit until his nerves came back around. I don't think its realistic to be tasing someone who is in a vehicle unless the vehicle is at a dead stop, or as Demon stated, on a motorcycle.
  8. These are people who were already hired, had been working just fine, then they end up getting fired because they are considered "Underage" because upper command finds out they are under 16. I agree that it could be straight they are not a good fit or whatever other reason. But I do think a general age SUGGESTION wouldn't hurt anyone. Because the server does contain a lot of things that aren't age appropriate. I agree, it is up to the parents of said child to be watching over them, and that kids these days are over exposed just through google. But it doesn't mean we need to be culpable in it either as a server.
  9. I think its a little...hypocritical. Since factions such as PD, DOC and the like have actively and recently terminated people from their factions because they heard they were 15 or such. But yet, they have players everyone knows is younger, but they let them in even though their own rules state you must be 16 or older to work there. So if legal factions are setting age requirements which are all ran by admins mostly, then why can't there be an age requirement at least listed somewhere. Obviously as Kopi and others have stated, it would be more of an actual job than an RP server at that point, but I don't see why we can't at least have it within the rules that you SHOULD be at least 15 or whatever.
  10. +1
