  1. In an ideal world this works however it's incredibly difficult for DOC faction members to do things like this when most people are either afk or seem to think they've joined a GTA Online death matching server. DOC as a whole does need a lot more things script wise to increase activity for both guards and inmates. The supposed implementation of a 'task master' system inside DOC would be an amazing start and probably help make things a lot more fun for everyone.
  2. I understand the sentiment behind this however lets turn it on its head slightly. Within the rules you are able to smuggle items into DOC as long as it's realistic etc etc. Why not use the lockpicks you just smuggled in to cause chaos for the guards? Why not unlock a gate in the yard and release as many inmates as you want into prohibited areas of the prison? Things like this are perfectly allowed under the rules and often create a lot more RP for everyone involved. Prison breaks aren't the be all and end all of prison rp, there's plenty you can do if you think outside of the box a little. As a faction, DOC will try and accommodate your rp wherever possible, we can't do it for you though.
  3. Not realistic in the slightest though, irl you take someone's finger prints but you need a name to assign the prints too, there's not just a huge pile of prints. If someone has never had prints taken then how would you assign those prints to someone?
  4. Accept that that's not going to happen and we can just carry on watching the titanic sink?

  6. If it's going to be kept the same then we need some way of detecting that doors are being picklocked. If you have say 4 COs, it's very difficult to monitor the entire prison when realistically you'd have at least 4x that amount.
  7. Guards do actively participate in activites, both pre and post prison update, the issue is that pre prison update it was extremely repetitive and boring 'activities'. Since the release of the prison update, DOC has been extremely busy because there is far more things for inmates to do, therefore creating more RP for guards. DOC like PD and SD is a reactive faction by nature, we respond to the rp of others. Creating RP with inmates is extremely difficult if they do not reciprocate. I'd suggest giving the DOC faction another try or at least seeing what prison is like now because it is exactly the change that the prison needed and I'm glad that there's more to come.

  9. If you don't value prison RP then there's plenty of other servers which will cater to the kind of role-play you desire. You seem to have the mindset that the prison serves no real purpose, which isn't something that ECRP has ever adopted and is unlikely to adopt.
  10. Indeed, but the point still stands, they won't do more updates, they'll just press the off switch if income drops so dramatically.
  11. This won't do much. The devs primary income isn't ECRP, this is ultimately a side project for them. If they aren't earning from it they'd probably just pull the plug.
  12. Funnily enough, you can RP with this group of people, not sure if you've seen them, they wear vests that say Corrections and for some reason seem to hang out in the prison like all the time? Joking aside, if you provide good, creative RP inside DOC, we as a faction, will more often than not help facilitate that.
  13. But there's limited communication from the Devs around timescales, we're still waiting for things which were supposedly meant to release in November 2025, it's now February.
  14. Fr, like the prison update would be one of the biggest QOL changes for a fairly sizeable population of the server, and it's 3 months late with no current ETA. It's pointless submitting new suggestions if the pre-existing ones haven't been fulfilled yet. Giving us false hope yet again.
