fl1ck Posted June 22, 2024 Report Posted June 22, 2024 title says it all, new labs system killed crim rp, barely getting money off cooking like everyone used to. the old system is just better 1 1 Quote
Bala Posted June 22, 2024 Report Posted June 22, 2024 While I personally liked the old lab system, criminal RP and making money are not the same thing. Quote

astrx Posted June 22, 2024 Report Posted June 22, 2024 The new labs system has definitely not killed Criminal RP. Imo overall lack of updates has slightly deterred people from wanting to play crim as it gets very repetitive. The new labs system is good but bad at the same time, the lab rotation is great to have certain areas populated more where they wouldn't be previously but I do believe that there either needs to be another increase of active labs or they need to rotate more often, or both ideally. But as others have said above too, cooking is not the only thing criminals can do, this is just chosen as it's good money and there is PVP involved which people enjoy to do, which is understandable. There are many other ways to make money and other roleplay avenues which players can go down. Even though I did too like the old system, the one in place now is good and is in the right direction but maybe a few more tweaks could be made. Overall, try some other things. 1 Quote

Soupiestfork Posted June 25, 2024 Report Posted June 25, 2024 The current system incentivises 'clapper crews' and has absolutely tanked the quality of lab rp - it's essentially an inevitability that things will turn into a gun battle and absolutely favours the clapper mentality of non rply hanging around radioing for backup and then rushing them. It's boring and tedious and discourages rp-oriented groups from even bothering. I don't know if going back to the old system is better, but the current regime doesn't work in the slightest. Quote
