hrxvey
Recently, I have been seeing a few forum advertisements of people renting out things like "6g Eclipse Towers apt", or "12g Diamond Casino apt". I personally believe that this shouldn't be allowed as it gives anyone who spends more money on the server a monetary advantage in game. This is extremely unfair as people with more IRL money shouldn't be able to gain IC money via their OOC purchases. 9
ArcAngel
I agree, credit properties or vehicles, or vehicles that aren't obtained via IC transactions should not be allowed to be rented to make IC money.
Ex0TiC
I agree with this cause it doesn't make sense to buy something without IC money and to make IC money with it.
JohnG
Items purchased with real money should not assist players in earning in-game currency. I agree with you. +1

alexalex303
There's a few players left that still have supers from when they were sold with credits; now they can't rent them out anymore after being able to for years? This is a very niche market and I do not believe it has any meaningful impact on the economy.

Herbo
I think in general it doesn't matter, anything you buy with credits should not be allowed to be rented out or anything of that sorts that you are making money directly from the item. It is basically RWT where you're trading an item you bought with real money for in-game money.
aitorgn
+1 100% agree on this one. Donations shouldn't get you IC money by renting.
Salvador Rivera
Then simply do not create such things so that there are no complaints from those who cannot afford them
Gali Vantis
This might get some heat, but hear me out... people who have money to buy credits and support the server do just that. they keep the server running and hopefully leave some profit for the owners to live on, the people who generally have the money to buy credits are able to do so because they work hard IRL, therefore they have less time to spend in city. I dont see any issue with this, your trading your time in the real world spent working for items you may not be able to get in game as you cant spend as much time in the city, personally I would love it if you could buy items that you could sell in the city in exchange for IC money, it would increase the level of RP as people would not be grinding out money and would be able to enjoy more time rping... it would also improve real life / game balance. anyway thats my rambling two cents...

Gali Vantis
you could make the item balanced and or limit sales or indeed continue to allow people to rent credit apartments etc. Runescape did this with the credit bond - the price fluctuates with supply and demand, perhaps you could introduce something similar here. a "Goverment supporters card" That costs credits - it enables the holder to redeem it for 1 months VIP - the price would be set by the buyer or seller. it would increase sales of VIP, enable people who have no irl commitments but no irl money to gain VIP. win win all around.. Antonio_Colombo
Isn't it like obvious that it rwt is not allowed, even if it is made in such sleek way? Those who did it knowing rules... Hmmm

Wifye
+1 While I do enjoy the benefits of donating, there definitely has to be a line that shouldn't be crossed. Specifically renting out credit purchases items for a direct in game profit is practicality buying money with just an extra step.
Donovan
I personally do not see a difference between buying an apartment's for credits and renting it out for ingame money, to sending someone money irl for money ingame, it shouldn't be a thing at all. Cars are different, they were only obtainable years ago and there aren't that many of them around anyway, I fail to see how few vehicles can affect the experience the same way as infinite amount of apartment's that can be purchased/rented

Anyone who has VIP and works a legal job makes more every week from saving on the tax. I believe it's fine as it is, let people do whatever they want with their property, 50k ain't going to change anything. As Alex said, it's a very niche market, not too many people rent. Then, if I were to rent it out continuously for 10 months at a minimum of 40k, I would have almost half a million in one year. That's a way for me to make money without grinding on the server. But, when it comes to taxes, you will need to put in hours grinding for that salary. You are playing on the server to earn that money. What's the purpose of buying it just to rent it if you're not going to use it?

Malinq
I mean, I don't pay tolls as Diamond VIP, I get profit, what's that about, I refuel less than others, I pay less taxes (10% instead of 35%) what's the issue here? These services are made so we have some benefits. I do understand your point, don't get me wrong, but donations and VIP perks on this server give you advantage in the form of money anyway.... Is it really common that someone spends hundreds of $$$ (irl money) for apt and garage slots to rent it away?
