Weapons in NPC cars.

Add some weapons to NPC cars.

I think it would be a great addition as it creates another incentive for people to steal NPC cars as well as giving new players a way to find guns. I've found it is very difficult for a new player to start up on the server and as a criminal I believe this would be a great addition. Something like a 1/20 chance for a Combat Pistol / SNS / .50 to be found inside a vehicle.

Perhaps heavies in the boot, but this would obviously have to have like a 1/1000 chance and is quite questionable.

+1 I'd like this idea specifically because of the point you made about helping new players start out.

Normally new players have to grind off on freelance jobs before they get anywhere close to actually experiencing rp.

For them to be allowed to have a chance would be beneficial.

I am unsure about the heavy part but I'm all for this idea.

I made a very similar suggestion for house robberies and robbing gun stores to give pistols a while back and was met with a lot of -1s. My suggestion is for things like this, allow people to get all forms of pistol except .50s. New groups and smaller groups could still be self-sustaining and Official groups that are Tier2+ still get the benefits of being able to sell highly sought after weaponry.

+1 if it's implemented without heavy weapons or .50s imo.

-1 for simply just guns.

I'd rather see items that make a little more sense like car speakers., GPS's, clothing/furniture items implemented (maybe even a car jack with a "spare" tire) rather than easy ways for people to acquire guns so they can PvP, instead players are given a means to make more money off common criminality and naturally moves players away from a mindset that they need to pvp or strictly rob people to make money. I'd support the above suggestion of lower tier pistols with the additional addition of civilian pawn shop items.

Players could make an rp choice of making a living off simply burglarizing cars and perhaps the odd time selling the car to someone else to chop because perhaps it is not their characters line of work, or perhaps they could be propelled into the chop scene by finding a car jack

Let's be real here, the majority of criminal roleplay REQUIRES a gun.

I agree with the fact that you should be able to find other things inside the glovebox of stolen cars, however I still insist that guns should be able to be found, what use does a car speaker have to a new player who can't even afford a warrener?

Guns (Maybe not .50s) would be fun as it's a start for new players to get used to the server, they will learn the hard way that you can't drive around with a gun on your back, that you can't fight 20 guys at once (You will get smoked!). They can also sell these guns to make a bit of cash, as guns are extremely high in demand especially amongst new players.

They also open up opportunities to hit stores and other robberies.

+111 allowing guns to be found would allow so much more oppurtunity for entry into criminal roleplay. And lets be real its not just a free gun, if you get caught pick picklocking the car youre gonna go to jail, and with it being a low chance its not gonna be like everyones got a gun. Its a good suggestion it starts people off well rather than freelance, which doesnt make sense sometimes if oure gonna be a post man one day then robbing people the next.

I like the idea but I believe it could be abused as in people just go around and break into cars for the weapons with no intention to chop them.

I feel it would be better if the NPC had the chance to gift you a weapon when you sell the weapon parts, that way you are rewarded for doing the full activity instead of cheesing it.

I guess it would be handy to have whilst chopping the car for protection but to possibly find the gun whilst pulling the car apart for say when you take all the wheels and doors off it could be 'hidden' in there

I think taking this a step further is following the Beginner Guide to Owning a Firearm things outlined, such as having the weapon unloaded, meaning there would be ammo, but the weapon would be unloaded, and within a safe in the trunk, or even a step further, in a locked glovebox. Now the locked glovebox would require dev work, as we do not currently have a way to lock a glovebox. Instead of just being able to open the trunk, as you mentioned, when you "chop" the trunk, you gain access to finding a safe, or lockbox of sorts, that you can open to see if it is in there. Could even reward more with other additional jewelry which can be pawned off for more profit.

I think this would help add more immersion to obtaining a gun from an NPC car. Granted not "every" human will oblige to the Gun Safety Guidelines, so that could also be taken into consideration for the percentage find rate. I also like the idea of you are chopping the car, finding it hidden somewhere.
