  1. My opinion is that this makes zero sense as that allows for anyone to choose the personal vehicle over their patrol vehicle. If you ar on duty I feel you should be required at least at lower ranks to drive your faction specific vehicles. "Within Reason" leaves way too much up for interpretation.
  2. https://streamable.com/xcbt9 Sorry for the crap audio but I would highly suggest watching it with audio.
  3. Is this something that is currently written in the PD/SD guidelines or is it assumed. Sorry for all the questions but I want to cover all my bases.
  4. IMO there would still rampantly be people acting as fence to sell guns that gangs receive to the cops. I do not believe this should be an option for removing guns from the game. I'm down for unpaid amnesty but not paid.
  5. Well said.
  6. So if we were to see someone not that rank driving their personal vehicle on duty would would b e the process for addressing that?
  7. Fair enough. I'll shut up now.
  8. If you don't want to participate why respond. Seems like a relatively simple question. Are the PD and SD using faction vehicles or opting for there personal vehicles. That in it self is simple.
  9. Haha. Fair enough.
  10. Are they being used off-road at all?
  11. My current understanding on this issue is what has been said on the forums about police using personal vehicles. I will be interested to see the response and if these are actually faction vehicles. I could understand the bf400's but the 250,000 bikes and super cars would seem a bit of a stretch in RP to be PD and SD vehicles. In the case of the T20s why would it make any logical sense for the PD to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars on super cars for police to destroy potentially pitting them or getting in wrecks. It does not seem financially feasible in the least bit.
  12. The whole idea of an on-duty cop in an unmarked personal vehicle in my opinion is 100% Non-RP and should be punishable. However I feel like this has happened due to the felt necessity of not having a cruiser that can keep up in off road situations. Now I do not know what PD and SD currently have in the way of marked police bikes but if they do not currently have marked police bikes they should be added to both factions along with a mandate that if you are on duty you are driving your faction vehicle whether that be a cruiser, bike, or unmarked cruiser, not a personal vehicle. A marked police bike would be more than sufficient to fill their needs without being clear non-rp.
  13. We could keep debating the logistics but I think I'll just leave it to my core belief on the issue. There is enough issues with people following the current rules. Making those even more relaxed in my opinion will only encourage less rp more DM and less following of the rules. Edit: Sorry if you feel I have attempted to derail your post at all. Should have been more concise.
  14. 1. If someone has 100% complied with everything you have asked them of and offered no interference what is your excuse for killing them. They have just been nothing but compliant with you so now it is hey thanks for the compliance your now dead. You have now discouraged any compliance you might get whatsoever. 2. Now all people have do do is claim they though they found the "HQ" and they are justified for mass DM. Second if they just robbed you it would not make sense to run headlong into that group when they already had you outnumbered and out powered enough to rob you. 3. Now based on my opinion on whether or not you are going to hurt me I will pit you into a guardrail at high speeds which will likely involve me hurting myself as well as them. Now it is just a free for all of bumper cars and who has the car that will take the most damage before becoming inoperable.
  15. 1. You take away basically the on big limitation on killing people and it just turns into a DM fest. Everyone will kill to rob encouraging 0 role playing and just gunfights. If you want that just go play regular online. 2. Orange man steal my stuff. Every orange man die now. It just doesn't make sense. Why would killing someone based on clothes color be a valid reason for going around and DMing everyone. 3. In the end this would just end in a ton of people being DMed by playing bumper cars and smashing people into walls at 200 kmph.
  16. Coming from someone with an outside view on all this that hasn't really been a part of either side actively here is my opinion and what I think I see and it is just that, opinion. It seems to me there are some things that definitely do need to be addressed as behavior that is not appropriate for people in those roles. Based on the videos given that type of behavior in my opinion would be unacceptable and if some reports like the chief taking someone to chilliad to execute them is true I say why is he chief. Police are not judge jury and executioner and for a chief to be acting this way is unacceptable. I also have seen personally a multitude of times criminals complaining ooc about lawfull orders to identify or taking of masks. If you really are familiar enough with the penal code and server rules you would not complain about it at all let alone in ooc during a situation. As for using invalid corruption complaints as a crutch to potential change the topic or illegitimatize real complaints. Whether it is the true intention or not feel that is happening all the same. When discussing specific actions of a specific person is not the time to discuss all these false reports as a distractor. If you are confident in your team as you appear to be, request or provide proof and address the issue instead of what appears to the outside as dodging the issue. I feel like there should honestly be zero place on this server for people like Palmer that seem to so blatantly ignore rules of engagement and no place for people that show so blatant ad disrespectful racism to be part of a team that is suppose to protect this city. I also feel there shouldn't be a place for ooc complaining that cop are corrupt in a situation. That is not the time or the place. I do agree some things appear to need change on both sides as clearly occ in a rp situation is not the proper time or place, as there is IA for that, and some acts by cops do need addressed. I hope that both sides can own up to and see those issues and in turn both sides compromise to find a solution that will only make the server more enjoyable for both parties.
  17. +support Have some of my riders that get kicked out of my car on there way to pull out their salary. This would avoid such occurrences among others and would allow those who really need the rides to get them.
  18. This is one of the exact reason people are complaining. People cutting hair for no other reason than hey it is funny. I'll get a giggle out of this. I think it should be punishable as NonRP if it is clear people have no good RP reason other than it is "funny" or entertaining. That would be like me going around killing everyone at bank because it is "funny" It just doesn't make any damn sense. I'm fine with cutting hair without ooc consent but there needs to be a rule on needing an RP reason like lying.
