  1. If that costs 15k then why r u doing that. Park and unpark it lmao
  2. Whats a visual repair? A normal repair costs 1k. Never been more for me unless on 0 XD
  3. It's great to see some insight from experienced legal players like yourself and I think your statement says it all. If a rulebreak can't be handled in game then of course a forum report can be made by anyone (PD or crim). However not everyone has your mentality @Bill Breacher of PMing them to fix it between yourselves, then doing a /report 4 and finally doing a forum if that doesn't work. Right now, players jump to the forums straight away with minor rulebreaks and 0 attempt to resolve the issue themselves. In the Player Report Requirements it says "reserve player reports for situations that have caused severe loss" "Purposefully broke a rule" yet this is not enforced by staff creating a toxic win mentality environment. This quote from report requirements should be a requirement: "Reporting another player should be reserved for your final options when a rule breach has occurred. Always try to teach other players in the community"
  4. @Bala As a criminal it is imperative for me and for others to see Player Reports and their outcomes. This is how we learn about the rules which we can most definitely not do from the rules. Criminals check through player reports everyday to stay up to date with the what Admins are banning people for. Where in comparison, I've met players in legal factions who've never even clicked on it. The issue at hand is that reporting has become a way of revenge due to IC feelings which is blatant toxicity. I've never been in a community that hates eachother so much. In comparison with other servers where players simply help eachother and move on. No one banned, everyone happy and outcome is ultimately more positive.
  5. Add this question in report format - "What have you done to inform/educate the reporting party of this rulebreak?" Quote from Player Report Requirements - "reserve player reports for situations that have caused severe loss" "[For players who] purposefully broke a rule" "Reporting another player should be reserved for your final options when a rule breach has occurred. Always try to teach other players in the community" yet this is not enforced by staff creating a toxic win mentality environment!
  6. Problem: The community of eclipse is still very toxic. The most powerful and used tool for these toxic members are forum reports. When you don't win in game, you go for the win on forums. Solution: Have 0 tolerance for it. Punish those who petty forum report players without trying to resolve the problem themselves in game or using a /report. Make sure forum reports are used as a last resort instead of a first resort. Recently, I've seen dozens of petty reports stemming purely from a win at all costs mentality. Most reports go against the forum guidelines stating it has to be a severe loss. Majority of reports from cops are so cringe worthy, it's not even funny. They've lost nothing and yet still report with 0 attempt to resolve it in game. Does that not speak for itself? The sever would be much friendlier place to play if the community looked out for eachother and helped eachother when rules are broken. Your friend drives offroad in a sports car and you don't think twice but a rival does it and suddenly you strive to have them banned. I'd honestly love to link some reports which are horrifically petty but I won't.
  7. Big +1 Let's remind ourselves that when criminals loose they loose hours of their IRL time. Also, we play Eclipse for fun. Everyone drives recklessly (breaking multiple traffic laws). I mean all you gotta do is not yield, go slightly into the wrong lane and speed. Who doesn't do that when no one's around. Helis should only be used to provide further prospective and assistance. Instead of purposefully looking for gang affiliated vehicles to catch them "recklessly" driving as an excuse for ground units to search them. All you've done is ruined that players experience on the server. Note: Helis can be heard but it's not as loud as a cars roaring engine. Also game sounds have heli noises all the time.
  8. This seems like an entirely different server to what EclipseRP is. This would be a huge change, a change for the worse. -1
  9. There is a huge variety of freelance jobs and they're all very simple. Grinding money isn't fun, same with cooking drugs or being a DOC guard with 0 prisoners. But you do it for the reward. Freelance jobs pay higher than gov jobs who start on 4k or 5k per hour. Fishing at $171 per 1.5 minutes is $6.8k an hour and you have freedom of doing it with friends. Yes, pier was ruined ICly by law enforcement and speed cams but now there's roadworker job which is insane!
  10. They are bringing out leases soon so people don't own a gas station for the rest of eternity.
  11. -1 If you want to do one of these faction activities. Join the faction. Or drive a friend around XD Factions like Weazel and DCC create alot more RP than a freelance job will ever be able to do.
  12. I think its bc your ICly cuffed to the stretcher/bed in hospital.
  13. Thanks for the update Osborn! Silence from Devs and Admins is probably the worst thing so it's nice to see.
  14. Last week I got 5hours with $60k+ in fines. This was for a situation which lasted just under 10 minuets from my first interacting with PD. The suggestion for change at DOC has been requested for years apon years. Idk what's the point of trying anymore. Allow for fun criminal RP. Yesturday, my friend tried to smuggle in a knife inside a cake for me. But we're told your not allowed to ROLEPLAY hiding weapons as they physically show. New script doesn't have to be implemented, its honestly in the hands of the SADOC faction leaders and Admins. If they want RP, tell your guards to allow for it and to get rid of their win mentalities. Smuggling RP is OOCly not welcomed. Break out RP is OOCly not welcomed. Prison fights are OOCly not welcomed. Illegal RP you'd see in most prisons are OOCly not welcomed. Fun is basically OOCly not welcomed. Standing still causing you to tab out however is OOCly welcomed...
  15. Police and Crims will never be balanced, and rightly so. If balanced, crims will probably beat PD in all situations and just treat PD like another gang. I don't think it needs to be drastic at all! This isn't a black and white situation. Let's bump PD down a notch and see what happens. Small change can easily be reverted.
  16. Check the body armour change suggestion, that touched on PD fear-RP. But also, it is true. Some, but ofc not all, have the the mentality of 'Idc if I die I got nothing to lose'. At least 10+ people have openly said that to me. But taxing PD financially for losing makes no rp sense and also takes the away the fun. Instead, maybe just make PD weaker so they're more likely to die when they risk it all. Then SWAT can be used more for the bigger situations to increase the odds of PD winning. What do you think @Antonio_Colombo @Thommy
  17. Prison time can be very long and it's not fun at all, DOC needs to implement actual things to do there. Like criminal activities, but people have been asking that for years so I doubt it'll ever happen. However, long jtimes are necessary otherwise you wouldn't be AS afraid of being arrested and you'd be straight back on the streets again. Crims must fear cops and realistically they can send you away for life sentences. To be honest, this method works. We had 500-600 players on peak times and DOC times were still super long. There's alot of other things that have killed crims off but this isn't one of them.
  18. With respect @Bill Breacher I'm not here to argue with you. I never said crims should beat SWAT. I never even mentioned changing SWAT armour. My SUGGESTION was, cap general patrol officers armour at 25AP. This means, more need for calling SWAT and Fear-RP for cops who IRL wouldn't rush a bank or fight a gang, outnumbered. May I also add, PD and SD have 200 members. The biggest crim factions have 40. You beat the BIGGEST crim factions 5 to 1. Plus, you all have 100AP minimum. That's like 2 sets of health. So it's more like 400 VS 40. Ontop of that you got SWAT with 200AP, Carbines and Snipers VS crims pistols and no armour. It's very rare you will see more than 2 or 3 crims wear body armour in the biggest crim factions, very rare. You won't even see heavies on the smaller factions. For example, not a single Balla owns a heavy weapon. Not out of choice, out of price. For you to say that this change will make crims beat PD is laughable honestly Bill. Currently it seems every cop is SWAT then SWAT are the National Guard and National Guard are The X-Men. PD relies on crims for 100% of their RP. But right now, factions are disbanding and players are leaving. The balance is off, keep shutting down SUGGESTIONS and see where we end up in a year....
  19. The player shooting a cop in the head clip shouldn't be dismissed. It exposes how strong a low rank PD officer is despite the context around it. I think the simple fix is. Decrease import price of armour by half and cap body armour for general officers at 25. When I was a PO2, I felt invincible with my 100AP. NEVER needed swat when fighting gangs, I had a huge amount of armour and a shotty. +1 To everything Ranger said!! -1 to what Bill Reacher said. This isn't WW2, PD arent gearing up to fight the Germans. Council don't exist, theres a backup rule. To fight any more than 20 crims against PD/SD's hundred is super rare.
