Sick thread, had an interaction with one of your members not too long ago, was rather pleasant. Hope you guys take it far!
  3. +1 got robbed by a ban evader/person exploiting alt accounts to save his stuff after he got downed by pd during a non rp robbery (next to bank)
  4. Plus, seeing as it is one of the last viable money-making methods left as a civ after the indirect nerfs to hunter and toll operator and the nerfs to mining.

Very interesting and unique theme! I hope you take it far, excited to see what comes next.
  6. I talked to some friends about this the other day. I feel like -1 on this idea but another way of obtaining firearms (e.g. crafting them in certain ways/doing shipment jobs for them) would be better. It would keep the 'coolness' factor of being in an official gang while alleviating the problems with a 7 gang alliance dictating the market. Especially in the 'dead' timezones this would help. I haven't been active on a crim that much lately however (i have been talking to them a lot), so if someone could enlighten me go ahead.
  7. Exactly, some posters in this thread are reversing cause and effect sadly.
  8. I agree with these suggestions fully. Maybe even rank restrict it to detectives/high command.
  9. Yeah I support a nerf of CCTV cameras, it feels rather unbalanced having people camp the cameras all day and just call out there's a robbery somewhere. The past few days have shown me that it is now virtually impossible to do robberies unless you have a very big group of people, drastically cutting the viability of this portion of criminal RP. A nerf that might be viable is to make bolt cutters much cheaper to import, but that would perhaps create issues with furniture usages for the cutters. Another way would be to create a new item (pliers for instance) that cost much less and you can use those to cut the wires. However, this would still not fix the issues I have with CCTV, as what would happen is something along the lines of: "ow the Frapeseed store has no camera running, weird, can a unit check it out". Cutting the feed doesn't do anything but perhaps save minor identification problems. A third nerf could be to make it local viewing only (as suggested by @CallumMontie ), while maybe also rank-restricting it. I don't necessarily support an all-out removal, but a nerf seems fairly reasonable as the people that are affected by this addition the most are less experienced/rich players that don't have armies with aks and drags to get away. As a current police officer I feel bad for new players attempting criminal RP because opportunities like stores are being taken away from them too. From a different point of view it could be stated that store robberies are mid-game criminal moneymakers (with banks/drugs as the lategame), this however, would require some more early game criminal moneymakers to balance it out. I don't want to put this on the developers plate willy-nilly, so a separate thread might be necessary to discuss possibilities here. I will give one example however: perhaps a 'job' where you run illegal errands (instead of gopostal which would be legal), or the ATM robbery system that was pitched prior. This was mostly me rambling so quote me if u want to discuss anything that i said further.
  10. it was gold rhymes sup bruce
  11. Interesting idea, would love to see this come to life fully!
  12. Tranquility - 平静 With how fast life in the city is, people tend to forget to take a breather once in a while. Alex used to be one of these people, living day by day and forgetting to take a moment to look around and take it all in. As a counter to this, he started meditation to ease his mind and soul, particularly with how violent his life has become over the past years. He was taught the way to a tranquil mind be a wise Japanese dojo-master back in his home city of Kyoto. When he moved to the states, he quickly forgot these lessons, but in more recent times he has picked them back up, practicing meditation once more. Now he has the goal of spreading the ways to a serene and calm presence to the masses, practicing meditation in the dojo on the regular, along with fellow students and masters such as Samuel Castle. Of course, with how commercial the US is, this rubbed off on Alex, and he saw an opportunity to not only share his cultural values to the public, but also make a small amount wealth. Following this, he began advertising the meditation practices for a cheap price, but soon realized he could not fault his master like this. Now, he offers the classes for free to individuals that inquire about them at the dojo. With this choice, he also wanted to spread his ways to the public, advertising them on the Instagram page.
  13. GROWTH - 成長 With Alex being back from his work overseas, it was time to resume his duties pertaining to the Dojo. This entails picking back up the advertising campaign for the gym, including related faculties, specifically fighting training and cultural events. However, once he walked back into the Koi for the first time, he could not believe his eyes. There were already large numbers of strangers and familiar faces walking around, training, meditating, and doing other activities. This brought Alex much joy, as it seemed his work in the prior months was not in vain. With the gym having moved from Paleto Bay he was scared that the existing members would flee, but it seemed the number of trainees had only grown. After this motivating experience, he quickly began taking photographs with his phone of an interesting fight that caught his eye; which resulted in a decisive victory of a brown belt. After snapping the picture, he quickly posted it on social media, starting up his work as one of the primary advertisers of the Gym once more, together with the head trainers Lola Sakamoto and Samuel Castle.
