  1. While I get where you're coming from this is a bad example of ECRP trying to embrace realism. Cops irl get shot and targeted all the time for things they say and the way they act towards criminal gangs, especially the cartels. Here in Eclipse you get dm punishment and ejected from the server so you can't really use this as a case for realism. Cops have too much power icly to have no repercussions other than the annoyance of having to respawn and get everything for free again...hence ia reports Note: unsure why the hell this thread showed up for me making me think it was new sorry 4 the necro
  2. Lately playing early am hours on the east coast I've found myself logging out of frustration due to not being able to find a mechanic.. not to mention forget about /mechanic it aint happening. Let us fix them to a drivable state please!!!
  3. Marshal's journey began in the summer of 2019 when he moved to Los Santos, aiming to start anew. He had been a struggling musician in his small Ohio hometown, where his computer science degree seemed almost useless. Adding to the complexity of his life, Marshal had a wife and three children who heavily influenced every decision he made. Despite leaving them behind temporarily, his ultimate goal was to provide them with a better life in Los Santos once he found success. However, Los Santos was nothing like what Marshal was accustomed to. It was a city brimming with anarchy and chaos at every turn: robberies, carjackings, gunfire, and even menacing individuals wearing clown masks who confronted him at the airport. After researching the city's rent prices, Marshal realized he was nearly broke. Seeing a job posting for full-time road workers, he hesitated but eventually accepted the position out of sheer necessity. His coworkers consisted mostly of hardened career criminals seeking W-2 income or serving community service sentences. They constantly tempted Marshal with promises of substantial earnings through illegal activities, but he politely declined. However, when Marshal received his first paycheck, he couldn't believe his eyes. The meager amount he received was laughable, considering the exorbitant cost of living in Los Santos. He hung his head in defeat but knew he had to press on. The following day, with little hope left, Marshal returned to his job as a road worker. He couldn't help but notice the criminals among his coworkers driving around in expensive sports cars, a stark contrast to his own financial struggles. Marshal mustered the courage to inquire about their sources of income. "What do you guys do to make that kind of money?" Marshal asked, his curiosity overriding his hesitation. One of his coworkers replied with a sly smile, "You know what's legal, right?" Marshal nodded in agreement. "Well," the man continued, "we do the opposite of that." The man then asked for Marshal's phone number and said, "Just show up, and you'll make ten times what you earn in a week... in one day." Marshal hesitated but ultimately gave the man his number. Later that day, his phone buzzed with a message: "Be at the trucking dock in one hour." Panic washed over Marshal. Doubts flooded his mind. What if he ended up in jail? What would happen to his family if he got caught? Could he live with himself if he resorted to a life of crime? Yet, as he stared at the message, he also considered the harsh reality: the other jobs paid so little that he could barely provide for his family. He made a difficult decision. He would go to the trucking dock and see what awaited him. When he arrived at the dock, he was greeted by a group of individuals wearing ominous masks. The man from the road working job handed Marshal a clown mask. "Put it on and relax," the man said. "Your horizons are about to expand." With the mask concealing his identity, Marshal's heart raced beneath it. He knew he was on the brink of something life-changing, something both terrifying and exhilarating. "Get in the car," the man instructed. Marshal glanced at the lime green Jugular before him, realizing that it was worth more than he had earned in a decade. He got in the car. "Great Ocean Highway, Fleeca Bank," the man ordered, entering the location into the GPS. Marshal's mind raced. Were they really going to rob a bank? The man chuckled and turned up the radio, drowning out Marshal's thoughts with heavy metal music. As they arrived at the bank, so did a caravan of three vehicles. The group, at least eight strong, armed themselves with fully automatic assault rifles. The man tossed a weapon to Marshal and asked, "You know how to shoot, right?" Marshal hesitated before replying, "Well, yeah..." Before he could even enter the bank, a hail of gunfire erupted. Inside, two security guards lay dead, and the criminals began wheeling in drilling equipment. Maniacal laughter echoed through the bank. They seemed to be enjoying this. A deafening explosion rocked the building. "Grab the cash!" the man shouted, tossing a bag to Marshal. He walked into the vault and was rendered speechless by the stacks of money. After only a couple of minutes, one of the clowns yelled, "Roll out!" As they exited the bank, they were confronted by two LSPD cruisers and a SWAT vehicle. Fear gripped Marshal. This was it; he thought he was either going to die or go to prison. He wouldn't see his family again. However, his fear was short-lived. Some of the clowns opened fire, causing the cruisers to collide and slam into the guardrail. "Shoot, motherf***er!" the man urged Marshal. With his heart pounding, Marshal aimed his weapon at the police officers clinging to the SWAT vehicle. "It's them or my family," he thought as he reluctantly pulled the trigger. Bullets ricocheted off the vehicle, striking their targets. "You're a natural," the man declared as they eliminated the remaining police officers. Back at the trucking job, the men praised Marshal for his performance. They handed him a heavy gym bag filled with cash. "All yours; you earned it," they said. "There's more where that came from if you decide." Marshal got a ride back to his dirty, rat-infested motel. The man smirked and said, "Don't be a stranger; give me a ring. We've got another job soon." Marshal gave a nervous smirk in return as he lugged his giant bag of cash up the stairs to his motel room. He emptied the bag onto his dingy motel bed and stared at the money, the possibilities, and the moral dilemmas weighing heavily on his mind. This was only the beginning of his story, what path will he take? Time will tell..
  4. +1 i suck at poker, plz do it
  5. Prison is super lame and seem's like a form of OOC punishment. I don't even RP a criminal and the one time i was in there with my alt i literally fell asleep at the keyboard it was so boring. +1 to OP there needs to be activities in prison, also maybe a notoriety system for criminals that other people can see. This would also likely enhance law enforcement's RP with the way they would interact with these criminals and provide more things for DOC members.
  6. You aren't wrong. I'm pretty sure they don't even make ccw holsters for this. Would be pointless lol
  7. I don't think the bulge thing is very realistic. I have had a CCW irl for years and you really cannot see my gun or a bulge. Belly band holsters make them virtually bulge free and invisible. Maybe a reasonable and realistic solution would be to make the command incompatible with .50 calibers?
  8. The ability to hide pistols by a command or CCW Holster purchasable at gun shops would be a great step towards realism. I know a thread exists in the Rules section but i wanted to be more specific as to a solution that i believe could work and is a great step towards realism. Player conceals weapon with /concealgun Then you could add a /revealweapon command or something along those lines to make the weapon be draw-able. Edit: Due to the unrealistic nature of hiding a .50 caliber handgun (Virtually impossible without special clothing) the command should NOT be used for these guns. Example of belly band holsters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE7atPABjZ8 Why the command/feature shouldn't be allowed for .50 caliber handguns
  9. LOL .. btw you nailed the character creation.
  10. It has been an honor to be part of such an amazing group of people. Victor is a wonderful man and has been a great friend OOC and IC as the Prophet. We're continuing to recruit daily and still maintaining the original goals set forth in this thread. If you're looking for a great group of roleplayers and a place where you can be treated like family please seek us out IC
  11. My apologies i thought it did, considering the amount of time you're jailed for them.
  12. Nevermind they just turned almost everyone on the server into a criminal instantly overnight with the gun license change.
  13. Let's face it.. I believe the only people that really want speed camera's are the cops and admins. We all know how incredibly unrealistic they are but i understand why they were implemented. The vast majority of everyone else finds them to be an annoyance and the new players find themselves utterly devastated by them. I also believe reckless driving causes more problems than it fixes, i believe that people getting charged and having criminal records because of these camera's sends people on path's they would of never otherwise went. Getting one of these charges also ruins your characters chances of ever joining certain factions correct? Here's my story. I was being chased by gang members through the city that demanded i pull over. They then began firing Ak's shooting my vehicle i sped through the city not caring about the speed and only wanting to preserve the life of my character , my items and my vehicle. I went to the police station and payed all of the tickets id racked up. When i went to explain what had happened i was asked for a recording of it, i unfortunately didn't have it because i logged in and shit hit the fan before i could even turn on Plays.tv. So i ended up with two reckless driving charges on my record. I believe that only police officers should be handing out reckless driving charges from witnessing the crime first hand. My suggestion is, is to remove the reckless driving charges from speed camera's and simply increase the fine. Maybe if you're short staffed and can't appropriate police time to traffic you should consider implementing a traffic enforcement division. I can't tell you how many people i know that have these charges on them from the speed camera's and have evolved into criminals on a scale they never would of been because they now have a criminal record so they just say fuck it why not.
  14. Personally growing on an 80 acre farm surrounded by half a dozen neighbor farmers i can tell you this. Nobody i ever knew got robbed at gunpoint, nobody robbed us for our dairy or our corn. BUT... We did have break-in's for a different reason (anhydrous ammonia) One of the ingredients that is often used to cook meth. If staff could figure out a way to tie that chemical into farming it would be much more realistic to rob a farmer. Instead of just coming out for our wheat and fishing poles.
  15. Thanks for your valuable input, anything else to add?
  16. +1 Agree 100% I got robbed today at farm twice within 2 minutes. A few minutes later two more people tried to rob someone at warehouse and it ended in a shootout. Very unrealistic and should be changed. I imagine most of the gangs will fight this idea vigorously because that's where they do most of the griefing
  17. I do hope they fix it, i feel having to tell people i cant hear them or vice versa really ruins the immersion.
  18. Originally i put this in the player reports section for NRP and combat logging but it was too funny to get buried in there. https://plays.tv/video/5ca3ea61ca85a88e33/americas-dumbest-criminal?from=user
  19. Camera system is crap. Was trying to escape someone attempting to kill me and i ended up getting 10k worth of tickets and 2 felonies.

This would be possible via custom radio station, it would require small client side patch people could download for radio.

Add bath salts so i can roam the streets as a crazed cannibal.
  22. I've played FiveM servers for quite some time now and the voice chat is pretty reliable. For whatever reason on Rage MP it is constantly cutting out and people claim they can't hear you. This can cause very bad situations as I'm sure most of you are aware. Does anyone know from a technical standpoint how to make it stop acting up on my end? Or is this just something server related we're going to have to deal with. I'm using a $400 studio microphone and a very good PC , i want to be able to use voice reliably
  23. Playing devil's advocate Hear me out, as much as id like to also see this feature it has tremendous potential for abuse. It would make automated fishing very very easy to anyone with moderate to advanced autohotkey knowledge.
  24. If you have a programmable mouse you could do what i did, change the 2 side buttons to N and M makes life easier.
