  1. That loss streak last night at poker drove you mad I see Vajo
  2. +1. Developers are making correct decisions in order to improve the quality of life for criminals so far. Many people say "lets wait for the gun update" but nobody knows when its actually coming, changing prices should not be hard, I understand not wanting to make any changes when they would be probably changed again during the gun update, so its a hassle and extra work, but it would improve the current situation. Crim is now more active than ever, and many people want to engage in criminal activities, the only issue stopping them is the weapon prices, I am not saying that they should be back to the prices back in 2019 when you could get a stock shotgun for 8K dollars, that was absurd, but we can't say that an AK-47 for 54K and a vest for 50K is okay, which you can lose in 3 minutes and to make that back will require you a lot of hours grinding. I understand the argument that "not every criminal should be fully decked out, or use such equipment for his everyday life, this will just cause fights with PD and etc etc". But there is currently a big gap in the balance, theres people who have 50 AKs stacked up with loads of kevlar and the new people who start the criminal lifestyle can barely afford a .50 that some people charge 15k for with .50 bullets. I could also mention that the same situation applies to attachments that were disabled from imports, many people didn't /refund their attachments and still have a big stash of them, which gives them an unfair advantage because attachments do a lot on certain weapons, especially silencers and mags, so that was a mistake made by the devs, and caused an in balance between players, since currently you can't import any, while others have hundreds. Back in the day the prices of weapons brought a lot of RP opportunities for gangs, smaller gangs would come to bigger gangs, or even solo criminals and they would try to buy heavy weaponry, because it was affordable to even smaller groups. This provided a nice way of income for criminals who were into gun smuggling, and also benefited the smaller groups, since they had the firepower to defend themselves, now if a smaller gang, somehow got into a fight with a bigger gang, they would just get steamrolled until they disband without even a slight chance of fighting back. I am sure that the current prices of weaponry push away many people from wanting to make a gang, because you need massive funding for that, back in the day there were loads of gangs, and criminal world felt most active, and everyone was having fun. There is another problem, where people try to make the most petty reports on forums in hopes to get a refund on their lost weapons, the current weapon prices cause many issues all around, and it doesn't create a positive environment.
  3. Yeah well theres a script sadly that notifies the pd everytime the robbers leave the store, even if you disable the CCTV, you can't disable this system, and if cops ain't got nothing better to do, they just start roaming around other stores or get a heli out to scout, talking from experience, before this script was added stores were amazing, and you would only get caught if a patrol cruiser passed by, but to counter that you would have multiple scouts around the store and it was great, now it's a different story, because there is a mechanic that you cannot disable no matter how well you execute it, even if you rob one store at palomino and the other in route 68. The idea of the safe is a very nice one indeed, and would be a great addition
  4. -1 There is a very good reason why criminals avoid "spicing things up" when it comes to PD, and this would only push people away from doing stores even more, as the risk is already high with the alerts, so I doubt anyone would be willing to risk 2 people get firearm charges and also losing their equipment
  5. As @TheOwl said, private labs are VERY boring, and I don't think anyone enjoys them, the issue is that there is no other solid way to make money so most criminal players were forced into cooking, I would rather rob some atms for a decent amount of money instead of mindless cooking for hours and hours until I can't take it anymore, sure banks pay very good money, but that comes with quite the risk. I think at this point private labs should be removed completely with a /refund available, and instead chopping, store robberies, atm robberies income should be buffed, especially stores considering this update : [Stores] Added automatic alarm once robbers leave the store I think house robberies are fine as it is considering you get many valuable items, guns, ammo, boltcutters, radios and such As of now you can make more money while hunting or road working than doing actual criminal activities and I find it quite sad, because hunting ain't much better, all you do is drive mindlessly until you fill up your car and get 30k in an hour or so with no interactions what so ever. I don't think people are angry because of the changes, but more of the fact that there is no alternatives they can turn to apart getting a legal job, hunting or other non criminal things. Changes to public labs are great, and I think there is not a single person who doesn't like it, if there were more alternatives than just public labs nobody would be complaining right now. There is 2 sides in criminal RP, either you have 10mil or a general store, dealership or whatever with passive money income, the same "money printing" aspect can be adapted to businesses since those require no RP also and you just farm money while you are offline and there is another side who have max of 2mil in assets or cash and each interaction costs them up to 100k which takes many hours to grind back.
  6. If you think that this will promote positive roleplay you are in a different dimension, I am sorry but like what. This only promotes shootouts, robberies and nothing more, this ain't 2019-2020 where gangs were respectable organizations and would be willing to tax someone in order not to rob them and let them cook/chop in peace while they held the lab down, most gangs nowadays just look for shootouts to make their next PVP montage, starting wars over petty reasons like "you shit talked me so we fight you now" and this update gives them exactly that, active labs where you can rob anyone on sight and if they don't comply kill them. Private drug labs did offer RP opportunities, and you can't say that it provided "ABSOLUTELY 0 RP PURPOSE". There were factions created around the whole private labs deal, where they would supply other gangs with drugs needed for their turfs, sell weed plants and provide actual drug smuggling RP with other factions, if a faction A needed 500 cocaine for their turf, they would reach out to faction B and that faction would supply them with the drugs required. Now good luck cooking in a public lab where a single scout will call you out and take 20 heavily armed players to instigate a shootout or a robbery, of course you could be cooking while on your bike and when you see anyone approach the lab you immediately run leaving the supplies behind, which some people do nowadays, but how does that provide any positive roleplay. Sure its a great move to make public labs more active and I am all for that, but why hurt private labs so much, at this point you might as well just disable them as they were in the Lithuanian ECRP server. I can agree on multiple points from the update and the effort to make public labs more active is great, but the water changes and constant minigames are absurd. This reminds me of when cooking in apartments was removed and a solution was supposed to go in place, but it didn't, now we neither have big capacity water tanks, neither sinks that we could use to refill bottles, so it makes the whole situation extremely bad. There is positives in this update and negatives, and the community should be involved when such huge changes are being done, by vote or some other way of communication, this forum thread is just a war between 2 player base sides and it doesn't contribute to anything.
  7. +1 This topic has been brought into light on many topics like this now, but no changes have happened yet, the jobs in DOC was a great addition to combat the fines received, but the prison times are still very high, you can get 300 minutes of jailtime and more, which is basically the amount of free time some people have in their days to play eclipse and all of it would be spent in prison
  8. Currently it is on you to create a hotspot, like buying a property and showing your presence there, making events, and such so people come around, but the point of a hotspot has been raised many times in other similar posts and I agree that it would be one of the ways the situation could be better, if there was a point of selling drugs from person to person for personal use the RP of street gangs would be way better, sadly currently you go to an NPC, get your money and leave. I was part of two street gangs that were located in grove street, West Coast Assassins and GBK, I enjoy street gang RP the most, sadly there is not much RP you can create on your own before it gets stale and repetitive. Also since there is no street gang scene that is an issue too, brawls and other similar street gang interactions would be epic between two rival street gangs.
  9. Welcome to ECRP, As the IrishGuy said, the current state of crim rp is at rock bottom and I am sad it is that way. I been a criminal myself since I started playing 2018, never had another character, and there is many issues why it is the way it is currently and theres multiple forum posts about that so you can read about it. Gun prices are at sky high, making money is very difficult unless you run a lab with 30 tables and afk all day long, the current gangs, not all of them, but a few of them create a very toxic environment for the new gangs which make it impossible to grow, starting wars over petty reasons just to wipe you out, and there is basically not enough players for more gangs to be in the economy since the OG gangs have 30-40 players in them. Also the official system is the reason why most people don't even try to start up a gang because they think that its too hard. Gangs with official status control the weapon imports, which they can charge new comers crazy prices or even scam them off their money, 10. 50s could go as high as 100k, while stock price it doesn't even reach 50k, I won't even get into the topic of heavy weapons because a single AK-47 with 100 rounds can cost up to 54k. So yeah, if the environment becomes friendlier I am sure there would be more gangs, even small ones like back in 2019-2021 but for now its impossible, to be a criminal you must have a lot of wealth, otherwise you will be miserable, a simple loss of a gun can cost you 10 hours of working. Criminals currently have to resort to legal jobs to make money instead of doing criminal activity just to be able to do anything criminal.
  10. -1 When doing the highest contract house robbery to start it costs 20k, if you don't have a drill that is 10k extra, 30k total investment, you can get around 60-70k if you manage to take everything and get lucky, so -30k lets say you get 30k profit, if you split that on 3 people or how many you was doing it, that's barely any profit, and if it was harder and it was a 50/50 chance of PD getting onto you it would be horrible and nobody would bother doing it. The house robberies are very enjoyable, I have been playing as a crim since 2018 and this is one of the most fun updates. I don't see a need to increase the difficulty, the robbery requires a lot of time to be completed, every safe has 10 minigames and you must wait for the noise meter to go down completely. Once criminals are having fun, and we have an activity that we can do with enjoyment, threads like this show up. I saw Bala once said something along the lines of " I am all up for improving the criminals life, without it coming at a cost of PD enjoyment of the game", so why would we have to suffer just so you can have more fun and constantly bust everyone ? EDIT: You also have to take into consideration that other criminals rob people at the contractor, or follow people to the locations of the robberies to rob them, or once they see cars outside a house and wait for people outside, there's many risks as it is, and if it were to be made harder from PDs side, I can guarantee that nobody would bother doing these robberies anymore, and it would be forgotten. Back in the day there would be 30 people at the mines, but once it got nerfed everyone forgot about them and now its a wasteland, lets not let that happen to this great update, that is actually fun.
  11. -1, Prison seems fun and interactive now, people are making groups, gangs inside the prison to make the most stamps, you can get robbed anytime, its not like there is no risk and everyone can make stamps while afking, most of the money you make in prison only pays for your fines and you don't make much profit at all, so I think that the current situation is perfectly okay, and prison seems more fun than ever, me and my friends personally were holding down the laundry room and we had a fun time of rping, also guards seem to be enjoying it also , since people don't just afk 24/7 inside the prison
  12. Are you serious right neow ? Lets not make crim life any harder as it is already, there's no good replacement currently as Celestial said, so lets just enjoy the game shall we
  13. I can't agree that more rules should be in place, it would just be an extra headache and forums would be getting filled up, we already have enough rules restraining the criminal factions. BUT it has gotten to the point where its actually terrible and happens every single fight, which makes things unenjoyable. I have been in ECRP community since 2018 and current criminal situation is worse than it has ever been (talking about the criminal player base). Peoples mindsets changed and they care way too much about their pvp ego, back in 2019/2020, Zetas, Aztecas, WCA, Triads, Wanted and others gangs, NO MATTER WHAT WAS HAPPENING NOBODY WERE CHANGING CLOTHES INTO A DIFFERENT GANGS CLOTHES, even if the fight was 10 v 30 back in those days I have never seen a single impostor in fights. People had respect for each other and understood that this is just a game not worth sweating over, everyone was having fun. But since we are at this day and age, where crim is already dying, and the player base is only making it worse I am starting to believe that the only way to fix it is by rules. There is a reason why there is only 2-3 active gangs in the server who show presence, back then there were 10 if not more. People are not willing to come to mutual understandings or have respect to each other regarding color dropping in fights, because they want to win and not enjoy the fights, because of their ego. Even in this post, people are being sarcastic and putting -1s without a valuable argument and making silly jokes which I find funny. I don't think you will enjoy criminal roleplay once all there is to fight and interact with is chickens in the hunting fields. Most people can agree that crim is dying, and its not just because of scripts, its dying because of the current crim player base, most people who have -1 this post have never seen the prime of ECRP crim, and never will if this keeps on going. Dropping colors is an unrealistic thing no matter what excuse you found, and back in 2020 and earlier, people understood that and that wasn't an issue, no rules were needed because people had mutual respect and wanted to have fun, currently it is not the case, and so I believe a new rule is the only way of improving it.
