  1. the handbook was written in 2023. we have OOC perms to use /me and /do to "review" any CCTV footage, but its not scriptly supported, so we either have to rely on players who are scriptly supported or request help from admins. if we're allowed to use the cameras via /do, why not support it with the script and give us access to visually see it so we can record it for content?
  2. no, we have OOC perms to use it. but its not scriptly supported. its an OOC issue.
  3. Who is the suggestion for? - Weazel News Reporters / writers Why is the suggestion being made? - OOCly Weazel News Senior+ employees have OOC permission to RPly use /do's to access CCTV footage. while this is great and all for in game, actively RPing with a nearby individual, this does nothing for actually being able to create visual content for weazel to produce. no one wants to watch a video of the chat with /me's and /do's. gross What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? Pros - Allow Weazel employees to produce high quality in character video footage for the server to enjoy. - Allow Weazel employees to scriptly use things they're allowed to do without being hindered IC by LEO's or waiting around for Server staff to maybe help - the system / script already exists for Law enforcement, just add it to the correct ranks within Weazel. Cons - abuse of the system? idk. people would get fired quick or OOC punished, just like if they abused the ads system How should the suggestion be implemented? - Give Weazel Employees of the correct rank access to use CCTV footage, like Law Enforcement Officers. how will this benefit RP? - Media employees within Weazel News will be able to record visual footage of things that happened in character with the CCTV camera system, rather than being ignored or told no by law enforcement when asked for access to things we OOCly have permission to access ourselves. This will allow people with video editing experience within weazel news to use the recorded CCTV footage to produce content for people to enjoy IC and OOC. WEAZEL NEWS handbook states that Senior+ Media/journalists have access to CCTV footage Following the steps to access footage, having a laptop on hand, dropping it on the ground, and attempting to access a CCTV camera, we get an error, "you do not have the encryption key required for this CCTV!" why give us OOC permission to use CCTV's but not support it scriptly? not having access to the visual aspect of the CCTV hinders what type of work Weazel is able to do IC when we have OOC permission to access them.
  4. current limit is 5. would it make sense for silver / gold / diamond VIP to get increased amounts of /Fdo's available?

  10. if there was an Ace 3 advanced medical system for GTA V, that would be sick. but the complexity of something like would be impossible for current devs to create, and im not aware of anything that exists pre-made like it. it would also be a major upset within LSEMS having to completely retrain to a whole new system. would it be a cool idea? 100%, would it be possible to implement? doubtful
  11. its quite common for people to abuse the system, ruleplaying the RP to have your character die, get NLR'ed as a way to avoid fines and jailtime. you can request to continue the RP at the hospital for better treatment or at DOC's medical wing, if you want to be involved in deeper medical RP.
  12. Who is the suggestion for? - Every player on the server, with a focus on business owners that focus on food related businesses, or criminal gangs who deal drugs to players Why is the suggestion being made? - to DRASTICALLY increase RP and immersion, with a relatively simple idea What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? - Pros - Drastic increase in RP and immersion for players on the server - letting players who own food related businesses like restaurants get way more unique with their RP - more customization for a little bit of effort - Cons - Dev work - abuse of the system to use derogatory and offensive text on items How should the suggestion be implemented? - Allow players a way to edit the names of food, drinks, alcohols, Drugs, on the server, using custom text to name the items something different ok, so how could we actually implement this? 1. new purchasable crafting table anyone can buy, that works like a Minecraft anvil, letting you edit the name of an item, crafting it into that same item with the new name. 2. a new menu accessible when looking at food / drink / drug items that lets you edit the name of the item or stack of items. how will this benefit RP? 1. Restaurants will be able to customize the names of the foods they serve. 2. Bars will be able to customize the names of the alcohol they serve. 3. Gangs will be able to customize the names of Drugs they sell to other players. doing this will let players have more in depth RP and more immersion, being able to offer custom named consumables to other players within the server. I can see players using this to open businesses like winery's and Brewery's, selling custom named alcohol, and within RP, players can chose their favorite drink, advertisements can be made advertising in game player made food, etc etc. Restaurants can become way more immersive, being able to serve unique custom named foods to their customers. Gangs can even get involved, custom naming their own variants of drugs, their own custom strains of marijuana, or even intentionally mislabeling drugs to sell to those who wouldn't recognize the difference between the items, being able to scam players, selling a cheaper drug as a more expensive drug. having simple scripts like this that help support players in creating more immersive, in depth RP are so valuable to have, and having this option to custom name consumable items within the server would be HUGE!
  13. Who is the suggestion for? - Players that have a character or are trusted to RP very well creating a new character Why is the suggestion being made? - More diversity in character models present in the game What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? Pro: - More diversity in character models present in the game - Revenue generation for the server Con: - Dev Work - Ripe for potential Favoritism - People will complain about "pay to win" somehow. How should the suggestion be implemented? - allow players to purchase being able to use certain NPC models for a new character they are creating or put onto their current RP character. So. into the nitty gritty details. I would love to see the option available for players to be allowed to create a character or use a NPC model on their current character. so, the problems start here. there's only a finite amount of NPC models, so how do we control who gets one and who doesnt? 1. more in depth character application form to be allowed to use a NPC model for the character - significantly more strict and filtered application process to create or implement a NPC model on a character. - this would give players who have actively proven their RP prowess on the server to have something a bit more "custom" and be able to provide top quality RP to players on the server 2. Paywall it. - there's only so many NPCs available, and a way to control access would to put it behind a purchase. some people wont like this idea, but considering the dev work required, and the time invested into creating and reviewing the more in depth applications, implementing systems to make the NPC models work on characters, etc, theres cost associated with that, and this would help make sure its paid for and profitable for the server. - potentially also limit it behind having some form of VIP for the server, that way there is an active subscription being paid in, to keep claim over a model. would prevent players from quitting the server after using a model, making that model locked away unusable for others.
  14. -1 nope. should honestly be slower, like 40-50kph, but always available so players have a choice, faster transport with taxi service, or cheaper slower citybees
  15. Date and time (provide timezone): not really relevant Character name: not really relevant Issue/bug you are reporting: items that players would typically have held in their hands, Phones, bags, briefcases, are being seen floating around randomly in the roads, likely from some bug or issue with those items being pulled out while in a car. Expected behavior: no floating interactable items magically across the city Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: will post screenshots as i find more, lots of video, but i dont want to dig through all of that to get screenshots no idea how to replicate. they are randomly spotted around the city, mostly in high pop areas floating cellphones at pillbox floating cellphone in the middle of the road
  16. ARCHIVE please
  17. "would decrease the amount of roleplay available for people in our faction." i don't mean to be rude, but at least from an outside perspective, how much roleplay is actually happening? when the server is very high pop, there's often only a single taxi driver. that situation is EXTREMELY common. but then when the server is lower pop, like 70-100, its significantly more common to see a couple to several people clocked on. it has been MANY times ive watched large groups of taxi drivers sitting around at highend chatting, or sitting around at the bank all hanging out chatting, while clocked on during non peak hours. Whats going on inside DCC as a faction that is causing faction members to avoid clocking on during peak hours where there would arguably be higher demand for taxi drivers, and more interaction, more RP options? but choosing to clock on during low population hours, and sit around chatting with their coworkers at DCC designated waiting areas? there's clearly something bigger going on within DCC that needs to be changed, but that problem currently affects larger parts of the player population. letting players during peak pop times have access to CityBees even though there might be a single taxi driver working or AFKing would be a viable bandaid fix till the core issue with why DCC faction members typically avoid peak hours where they would expect more calls and RP opportunities. Don't get me wrong, its very much not all the DCC drivers, but theres something going on with avoiding working, AFK farming during off hours, or something that needs to be addressed, but until then, it would be nice to see a bandaid fix available for the rest of the server to not have to deal with DCC labor issues. How viable is DCC as a faction in its current state and how people play within the faction? would it be better to remove DCC and make the taxi job a freelance option, similar to truck driving, and based on commission for each ride? big questions about DCC, which could be discussed in a different topic, but having a bandaid fix so a large population of the server isnt stuck without viable transport options available would reduce the frustration of players while DCC gets its stuff figured out.
  18. speed limit citbee's to like 50-60kph, and make them always available to be pulled out. that way there is always a mode of transport available, but underpowered where people who dont want to waste the time, can call a taxi, which are much faster. idk, brainstorming a nerf to balance it out to make it fair for both players and DCC drivers, so theres a balance between the two choices. For reference, a LOT of cities IRL have these E-scooter programs, where people can rent electric scooters to more easily travel around the city. they're a LOT faster than walking, but a LOT slower than getting a car typically. so i could see making the citybee's more of an E-scooter system like IRL cities have, speed limiting them to nerf them a lot more, but make them always available, so theres still a benefit for taking DCC cabs, since they are MUCH faster.
  19. -1 would encourage more random non RP reasons for people to search for homes and businesses accidently left unlocked, letting people raid someone else for all their stuff knowing their offline and unable to have any sort of alarm to warn them someone is breaking into their possessions. would just cause more unnecessary toxic interactions between players, and more complaints on the forums. Theres already enough of a problem with crims getting offline raided by LEO's, waking up to all their shit gone, we dont need to expand on that letting random players do the same.
  20. -1 property value rises and falls with current inflation and property availability. some property is worth more than others due to new updates or location of the property. limiting how much or how little a property can be sold for would cause serious issues in the future as value and inflation changes. why you'd want this for non residential properties makes no sense. commercial properties vary wildly in value, putting a limit on how much you're allowed to sell a business property for would be dumb. there is a plethora of unclaimed, unused commercial property available for reasonable pricing directly from the government. you don't have to buy business property from other players. I made a suggestion a while back about how to fix the house shortage. I would argue the main cause is people buying property solely for the purpose of garage space. sell parking spots for IC currency at public parking, people don't need to buy houses just to store their car collection.
  21. Who is the suggestion for? - people stuck around the map without access to a vehicle Why is the suggestion being made? - DCC regularly has only a single person clocked on during peak hours, more often or not seemingly afk, and a majority of drivers only clock on during off hours to AFK grind salary. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? - Pro: people can still function around the server without a vehicle available, due to DCC members AFKing salary not responding to requests - con: DCC people will be upset How should the suggestion be implemented? - let CityBee's be pulled out if there is 1 or fewer taxi drivers, currently its disabled if any person is clocked on at DCC im sure im not the only one who has this complaint. DCC is regularly inactive during peak USA timezones, and is regularly quite active outside of that when the server pop is significantly lower. from an outside perspective, it feels like DCC employees regularly avoid clocking in during high pop times, having seen extremely regularly a single taxi available when the server is over 200+ pop. but in very late USA timeslots, DCC can be seen with 3,4 ,6, 7 taxies all hanging out at highend parking. i dont know if the is the right suggestion, as letting players just bypass DCC when there is only a single person clocked on working, or if DCC needs to be checked more often by Faction management for why people seem to actively avoid clocking on and working DCC during peak hours, but clock on and seemingly afk or chat with their DCC friends durring low pop hours when they're not expected to work. This more or less would be a bandaid fix, letting players pull out a citybee even when theres is 1 driver available. idk, not an amazing suggestion, but I and many people are frustrated with the current system, when a single DCC employee is on, and not responding, and you're stuck at DOC or Paleto or wherever, unable to get a ride, or pull a citybee to be able to get yourself to where you need to go.
  22. could potentially be ok for passengers to have their ID hidden while holding X while the vehicle is moving. why? people always act different when they see 4+ ID's in a vehicle, "oh they're 4 stacked" but yeah, 100% make it only while stationary for the driver, as I can see people abusing that to get away with VDM. side note, should people in trunks have their ID hidden?
  23. ah yes. reasonable force is expected from both sides. calling in a blackhawk for a fistfight at burgershot is reasonable for police in case a cop gets ambushed and needs aerial sniper support... 7 cop cars completely tied up in a single situation over a stolen cop car. sure, thats important, but theres been so many times theres huge chases over a single evader where all the cops in the whole server are chasing and not responding to anything else. good use of resources. 9 cops responding to a single individual already cuffed and tazed just in case the single guy with handcuffs on start shooting everyone. Circumstantial? sure. but this is just what ive seen as a civ in the past 2 days. its pretty consistently happening, seeing LEO's respond with massive force over relatively minor altercations. its almost every day i see it happen, i could dig through the past months worth of footage and show each one ive come across. lol at no cost or risk to any of the officers involved, where they regularly use outrageously overbearing gear and responses, for mundane interactions, making crims more upset with the extreme force used for simple things, causing crims to act out more. its a self feeding cycle, where one side that loses has to spend hours to days to recoup losses, but when the other side, if they lose, lose nothing. its on the LEO's side to reduce the use of excessive assets, cause their assets are infinite and free. t heir use of extremely powerful assets need to be limited for the circumstances that they are responding to, or they need to have something on the line to risk for using such powerful assets and the chances to lose them.
  24. yeah that's a really good point. i said previously, i dont currently play a hardened criminal or a LEO, so im very much an outsider looking in on the situation. im looking at it from a different perspective from both sides of it, and thinking of potential ways to find a solution. i knew LEO players would be very against a system where they would have to risk their time and money for using police faction equipment. yet, thats exactly what its like to be a crim, you're risking a significant amount of time and money that could be removed from your character. I can understand their frustration looking at cops, seeing that they risk nothing, and from what i understand, thats the core of most peoples argument and frustration when in RP, they get into conflict with police. I can see how it would backfire with how you explained it, causing more LEO players to "play to win" rather than RP reasonably, as their money is now on the line for "losing" a situation. obviously thats not the goal. I think one of the big points that crims are frustrated with, is that some of them can have long term goals, properties they'd wish to buy, cars they'd wish to buy, RP they want to try but cost a significant investment to get into, etc etc, and currently theres been a fair amount of criminal money making methods nerfed. So, not only is it now harder for a crim to make consistent money doing criminal activities, it now takes longer to recoup equipment for them if they make a mistake and get caught, having to grind for several in game hours to do so. where as, as a LEO, you get to do your RP, get paid for it, get access to all the fun toys of being a LEO, and have no risk for any loss if you make a mistake, growing your wealth to do other things, buy properties, nice cars, and buisnesses. there has been a pretty big surge of players who have been criminal mains abandoning criminal RP, creating new characters to do Civ or PD RP, just because of the consistent and regular nerfs and the intense amount of grinding required to reasonably progress as a crim. There's clearly a problem, the Crim side is very consistently complaining about effectively the same thing, but the solution is extremely complicated. some of these suggestions might be a good fix, a bandaid fix, or completely backfire. There are several great cops that put in the time and effort to RP, have different level of responses to different levels of situations, and make a fun time of it for everyone involved. but there is also a lot of cops that roll extremely heavy, all together, and dogpile onto super small situations with extremely overwhelming force, for situations that just absolutely do not call for that. making it not fun for the civ / crim involved, not letting them have any sort of option to respond. How would it be possible to get those cops to properly respond with a reasonable amount of force? the best thing i can think of is forcing them to risk money if they lose their gear, just like civs and crims are forced to play. do you have any better suggestion to fix it?
