  1. I think it's more of the issue of, a promise was made to the community to increase dev work on the server, and a roadmap with deadlines was put out. Then they put up a sale of credits and cars, cash in on the last of the suckers, and then not follow through with the promises made, and not respond or acknowledge the issue. So yeah, it's a vote with your wallet type thing. Stop spending money supporting the server if you don't support the direction and effort the devs are putting into it. I sure as hell chose to not spend anything over the last winter sale and anything moving forward, as there has been no tangible proof anything has being developed/progressed by the owners. If people who bought more $250 dollar cars are happy with the way the server is going, more power to them. But as we can see, there are quite a few people that are passionate about the server and community, but are fed up with the complete lack of communication or care by the devs.
  2. Official factions have territory they need to manage. they need to get packed cash, chops cars, and cook drugs, sell them to dealers in a territory they own, to maintain a points system of them "owning" that territory. The reward for maintaining territory is you earn import power points, which is spent on ordering drops from cartel of guns, ammo, drug precursors, etc. These territories have a decay rate. if you fail to sell contraband to the dealer in the territory, ownership of it will decay to where you no longer have control of it, and you get less import power to get stuff from cartel. As your gang progresses through the faction tiers, you get an allowance of how many territories you can control before you "overextend" and get higher decay rates. if you own more territory than your faction tier allows for, all of your territory decays at a much higher rate. So, whats the problem with Graffiti / Spray Tags? Tagging your own territory reduces the decay rate of owning that territory. Maxing out your tags, which last 7 days, negates the vast majority of the upkeep required to maintain ownership. Multiple times less amounts of packed cash, drugs, and car parts are required to maintain ownership over a territory. Requiring massively less criminal activity to maintain turf has been an overall negative for the health of the server. Removing the need to actually try maintaining turfs has drastically negatively affected the gameplay loop of criminals. There is a consistent complaint that the city feels empty or that there is "nothing to do." This is entirely self inflicted by the devs. The Graffiti update removed the necessity to commit crimes. Without the pressure to maintain turf, the motivation to chop, cook, or rob vanishes. criminal activity ultimately turns into just a reason to initiate PVP with other criminals or Law enforcement. When I first joined, official factions needed labor. They would work with small, unaffiliated groups who would bring drugs, chop parts, or stolen cash to them in exchange for gear or protection. This created interaction between solo's/unaffiliated groups and established factions. Now, because tags make upkeep so easy, every faction is entirely self-sufficient. They don't need to hire anyone. The "entry-level" criminal has no one to sell their labor to. Currently, there are several smaller factions who have access to powerful imports like SMGs, LMGs, .50s, and Shotguns, who are holding vast swathes of territory that should historically require a much larger, more active roster to maintain. The tag system acts as a massive crutch, allowing factions with noticeably fewer active members to hold the same amount of land as a massive faction. They are securing end-game, high-tier weaponry and selling it out to others with minimal daily activity because the upkeep is trivialized. I understand that some players dislike the "grind" of maintaining turf. They prefer to focus on social RP or PvP. That is fine, but that playstyle should come with the tradeoff of holding less turf and getting less import power. You should not be able to hold a massive turf and import dozens of military grade weapons daily if you aren't willing to run the logistics to do it. TLDR: High tier rewards like cartel imports should require high tier activity, not just spray paint. If we want to solve the complaint that 'there is nothing to do,' we need to stop letting a passive mechanic replace the active gameplay loop. The decay reduction from tags needs to be significantly nerfed so that holding territory once again requires active, consistent criminal activity to earn import power. Total self reliance for large scale turf maintenance should be nearly impossible. it should necessitate outside help from non affiliated small criminal groups, or at the very least, be a feat reserved for only the most active factions. Bringing back the struggle to maintain turf is necessary to give criminals a purpose beyond just shooting at each other.

    AP bug

he's talking about the green line of the body armor in the clothing slot, not the bottom left icon. that green line is bugged, saying the armor is a 200AP, when the icon under the minimap shows correctly its a 100AP armor. also, cops dont have 200AP.
  4. still a viable solution to the current crim v crim drive-by meta.
  5. passengers need to be forced to first person, but straight up removing the ability would be dumb. it would just turn into whoever gets out of their car first wins.
  6. its not about making it harder, its about making it scriptly impossible since its already against the rules, but its so regularly abused, it should be fixed
  7. magic blunts that can be lit and smoked underwater are a thing? its already nonRP, should be simple enough to prevent it from happening outright
  8. honestly should just outright disable interacting with anything in your inventory entirely.
  9. Its a very regular occurrence of nonRP by criminal players evading law enforcement. they'll nonRP swim, and while in the water, consume all their drugs. Being able to use a radio while in the water is scriptly disabled, can we get using drugs while under water disabled?
  10. Unfortunately DCC as a faction has failed its job to perform its most basic duties. the taxi job should be moved over to being a freelance job like busses, trucking, etc. BUT, since LFM is in the process of finding a new faction leadership to run it, I think it is fair to give whoever is the new leadership a chance to bring the faction back up to being functional. if that doesnt happen, it really needs to be shut down and moved to being freelance.
  11. just because you dont know every detail as to why in that exact moment you're being pulled out, doesnt mean its for no reason. you wont be given a reason. if you think there is genuinly no reason, contest it in character, or make a OOC IA/RP feedback post about the situation.
  12. OOC corruption exists. a very small amount of officers do play with OOC corruption permissions. Being OOCly corrupt without permission is against faction rules and can VERY quickly get you kicked from the faction and unable to join any government faction again, ever. If you feel that someone is being corrupt, breaking the law, file an IC IA report and contest the charge. if you're frustrated with just the general interaction and RP, make an OOC IA / Roleplay feedback report. Leadership in SD/PD do take that stuff seriously, and will go after people abusing their powers. But you need to report it, through IC means or OOC means if you have an issue. complaining about it on the forums and asking for OOC server rules to allow criminals to avoid RP is not the solution.
  13. You actually have a very good way to get nearly EXACTLY why you were stopped, pulled out, and arrested explained in great detail to you. Plead not guilty and file a court case with JB. Detectives are not going to spill our whole case file against you right then and there to justify our actions to you. if be genuinely believe there to be no reason, contest the charge. You'll find out the reason or get let off cause there was no reason. You literally CANT be pulled out for no reason. Laws exist in the server, and law enforcement is expected to follow those laws. if they broke the law to arrest you, that arrest is null and void, and that officer is punished internally within the faction. if its egregious enough, you can be kicked from the faction. The disconnect here is you want a fast OOC fix to something you disagree with, and get your items spawned back in for you, and go back to grinding money for more gear to fight people. Thats not how things currently or are going to work in the server.
  14. The remedy to not being K9 searched is to: 1. stop driving around with 200k worth of kit all the time? 2. if you are driving around with 200k worth of kit, why are you risking getting pulled over by breaking traffic laws? 3. play smarter so you stop getting caught and no longer fit the requirements to K9 you? Making OOC rule changes to protect criminals lack of RP and standards is not the way to fix this. the fix is entirely dependent on criminal players not being dumb by getting caught doing dumb stuff all the time, but that seems to not be a goal of most criminal players, suggestions like this make it seem like you and others have no interest in any actual risk to being a criminal.
  15. just because a reason isnt immediately explained in detail right there for you during an arrest doesnt mean a reason just doesnt exist. You're playing a gang banger character that exists in a world that doesnt reset the moment you log off for the day. Your actions, choices, and friends define your experience you will have on that character. joining one of the most violent factions on the server at the moment opens you up to a higher level of scrutiny from detective players. you personally have over 100 charges of JUST firearms possession. If you keep doing the same thing over and over again, and expect a different result... thats the definition of insanity. Whether you like it or not, being a part of a crim faction/organized crime puts you into long term RP with detectives who's goal as a character is to catch you. But, most players have ZERO interest in any type of long term RP, so they just ignore that it happens and then complain about the repercussions of ignoring it, and are upset there are consequences for their actions from the day prior. You actually have a very good way to get nearly EXACTLY why you were stopped, pulled out, and arrested explained in great detail to you. Plead not guilty and file a court case with JB. but, as we've seen, no one cares about long term RP, and would rather complain OOCly and make OOC rules to protect low RP standards of criminal gameplay, than become involved in and interact with the high standards that Law enforcement is held to.
  16. adding in supers to be purchased through in game means as a end goal would be great! would also be a good chance to completely rebalance the current car pricing, as its gotten really wack.
  17. just a simple suggestion to change the racing script to make it a bit more user friendly. Get rid of public/private tracks. Any track made, will be given a random 4 or 5 digit code like, "AX4F" / "K7F6GB" (4 digits is 1.6 million different tracks, 5 digits is 60 million different tracks) When making a track, the creator can limit it to a specific vehicle, vehicle class (offroad/sport/coupe) or all. Putting in that code to a U menu UI loads that track and the scoreboard for it, and lets you run the track and view the scoreboard
  18. I'd be interested in seeing a bit more tiered helicopter response like we do for standard cruiser tier cars, jug high speed tier cars, then the banshee for the limited list of meta/super cars. right now, as far as im aware, the only helicopter restricted based on the vehicle being used is the Sparrow. Buzzard is heavily used on non high speed tier vehicles, and is a lot harder to shake than the maverick. If the maverick was the standard response, Buzzards for highspeed/bikes, and the sparrow for the super/meta car list, i think that would be a reasonable option.
  19. Once a stolen ATM is detached from a vehicle, it should despawn after a short amount of time, like 10 minutes or so. right now they just seem to stay there and add up over time, and is a pointless hassle to clean up as law enforcement. The infestation of random ATMs laying around the server is has gotten worse since ATMs can be pulled without any law enforcement online. cant be good for the performance of the server. anyways, yeah. despawn them after they've been detached long enough. thanks
  20. would have to change the handcuff system, where you're no longer able to move once you're handcuffed, like a lot of other servers have. or else people would abuse it, running away while cuffed, etc.
  21. i mean hey, if we're doing this, lets do it. as mostly playing GND these days, I typically only interact with criminal players when they get caught, so the interactions are already starting out from a negative point for most people... David Theangel is one of my favorite criminal players as law enforcement. The dedication of day in and day out doing what he does is something to respect. Todd Baguley is an absolute goofball and i mean that in the best way possible. I feel like every integration with him ive had is a positive one in my books. He so perfectly represents just the funny shit that you see on LivePD or Cops. lol
  22. buying cars with real money for the sake of their performance is just straight up pay to win. reducing pay to win is a very good move for the health of the server. You still own the car, you can still drive it, but the rebalance to performance mod costs was a very well needed change.
  23. removed in less than a week... lol
  24. this suggestion changes nothing in the profit per hour of cooking drugs. the drugs should take longer to cook, so to compensate without affecting the profit per hour, the individual price of each drug would go up too.
  25. just make the medical system scripted, then theres no arguing over quality of RP for treating wounds, and intentionally having double standards of RP, where when you get shot in a gang fight and you want to live, your friend can /cpr you with a "/me puts icepack", but when you're going to get arrested, its all stalling responses, talking in /f chat rather than responding to RP, arguing about quality of treatment given, etc etc etc. just script the BLS system/ cpr command:
