  1. Yes. Cuffed runners are silly. It's almost always just a 'fuck you I'm wasting your time' to the officers rather than an earnest attempt at escape. I'd also suggest a slow penalty of some sort for folks who've recently been tazed.
  2. It's not a wild accusation. It's a statement of fact. I haven't named any individuals of doing this. If this hits too close to home I'm sorry but... it is what it is.
  3. Perhaps you don't see it as you are an LEO, but giving LEOs the ability to decide whose guilty and whose not is a tremendous conflict of interest. Also, I would argue that the majority of ECRP's player base do not trust IA. I'll be honest, I struggle with it myself. So... it's difficult to not read this as being dismissive, though I'm not saying that's what you're doing.
  4. How do you manage to continue arguing a point you were specifically, demonstrably proven wrong about? Also... we really need to focus on the actual issue here, not anyone's specific interpretation of the dept.
  5. *Hard* disagree. My main character wouldn't be able to do the role she's in currently if not for the efforts of JB in overturning a past conviction. It's incredibly important for a number of players, whether you've been personally impacted or not. That said, I do agree that JB needs something to streamline it as the current system is very slow.
  6. Criminals have virtually no advantage at the moment this statement is simply false. The element of surprise is burned in about 60 seconds, especially with how aggressively PD has been fielding AIR-1 etc lately.
  7. That isn't true though. There's no due process other than the arresting officer's discretion which is often missing context and/or is clouded. Literally nobody who has ever gone to DOC has been found guilty of anything.
  8. BIG +1 mechanics deserve a little more depth considering how important they are to the in-game economy
  9. From the other side of the coin, LEOs can (and some do, even though to my understanding they aren't supposed to) spam /fl to refill armor, sometimes in an active engagement. Adding a mobility penalty for AP sounds like a great idea. +1
  10. No. Because it being specifically against the rules would discourage the behaviour thus reducing the need to do so.
  11. +1 This right here is the problem. It's so tedious to have to chase people away from your car just to get into it and terribly unrealistic.
  12. The current system incentivises 'clapper crews' and has absolutely tanked the quality of lab rp - it's essentially an inevitability that things will turn into a gun battle and absolutely favours the clapper mentality of non rply hanging around radioing for backup and then rushing them. It's boring and tedious and discourages rp-oriented groups from even bothering. I don't know if going back to the old system is better, but the current regime doesn't work in the slightest.
  13. +1 these are great suggestions. As it stands BurgerShot is just a place to pick fights.
  14. This is, in practise, impossible.
  15. It is literally set in the US o.O
  16. This is nonsense. In a free society, state-sponsored media is typically given immunity. The BBC routinely posts negative content about British politicians, and the CBC is *constantly* shitting on the current head of government. Your argument that they're being state-funded means they should be the equivalent of the PRC's state media is... unfounded.
  17. EDIT: What's the point. Way too many people taking things personally rather than reflecting on *why* it feels personal.
  18. +1 This 'W' mentality cuts both ways.
  19. What if there was a longer taser 'reload timer', but the tradeoff is that upon getting tased, the character is limited to the injured anim / speed for like 1-2 minutes. That would severely hamper crims being able to just get up and run off again, and also puts less pressure on LEOs to tase as soon as possible because it would be a lot harder to escape afterward.
