    Body Cam RP

To clear your confusion, you do not need to roleplay purchasing a body camera every 48 hours. What you need to roleplay is putting it on and turning it on prior to situations where you would potentially use the footage of ICly. You can not mid roleplay decide you are wearing a body camera, it has to be roleplayed prior to those interactions. This roleplay will now be valid for 48 hours unless it is invalidated by something else, in which case you need to roleplay putting your camera back on and start its recording. It is pretty self explanatory that this needs to be roleplayed in order to be used ICly. For something to be present, it needs to have been created somehow. For your last point, both PD and SD already require their members to roleplay putting on a bodycam and turning it on prior to starting their shift, as well as the dashcam. Before this footage is used ICly, proof of roleplay is requested and if it can not be provided, the footage is not used ICly.

  4. We have reduced the time per charge significantly a while back. It also wasn't recently decided to charge people with multiple counts if they have committed multiple offences, that was part of the original announcement way back in 2019.
  5. As far as I know all government jobs have the same wage gap of 8k/hour. If DCC is getting paid less than PD or SD, that is up to their faction leaders and getting wages approved by the government, like PD, SD and MD do, who have significantly more ranks than dcc, bayview etc. There is no reason for those players to be paid less, but its up to their faction leaders. As for PD or SD, I'm unsure what Bacon is referencing in terms of time in rank as that is insignificant to the actual suggestion, considering SD has only been around since juneish last year, but anyway, ranks deputy sheriff trainee to master deputy all have a minimum of 1 month between them, never less than that. Theoretically, all wages could be raised up until 8k am hour without needing any script changes, just government approval IC. Now that won't happen as there needs to be some kind of monetary progression between ranks. So should the cap of 8k be raised in order to allow it to trickle down to all ranks? I'm indifferent, yes PD, SD and MD are basically underpaid for what they do, take out the tax and you're left with less than farming makes, while investing countless hours of ooc time to read manuals, write arrest reports, impound reports, field training reports, divisional paperwork etc etc. "Nobody asks you to write all that stuff oocly" well yes they do. The government expects a certain level of ooc organisation and paperwork, so you can not really get away with doing none. I would support the ability for officers, deputies and medics to earn more money of course, as I know how much work goes into it outside of the game which is not valued and the obstacles to get to that point. On the other hand, we've managed since 2017 and we'll manage still. What all government factions have in common is to just carry on and make things work regardless. For reference, these are the SD salaries, take out tax for actual values. Deputy Sheriff Trainee - $5,000.00 Deputy Sheriff I - $6,250.00 Deputy Sheriff II - $6,500.00 Deputy Sheriff III - $6.750.00 Master Deputy - $6,950.00 Corporal/Agent - $7,000.00 Sergeant/Field Agent - $7,500.00 Staff Sergeant/Senior Agent - $7,750.00 Lieutenant - $7,950.00 Captain - $8,000.00 Commander - $8,000.00 Assistant Sheriff - $8,500.00 (( $8,000.00 )) Undersheriff - $9,000.00 (( $8,000.00 )) Sheriff - $9,500.00 (( $8,000.00 ))
  6. We could easily do this without much need for a script to determine surface, area etc. Just need something like /savecord for mods and up, we go around the map and pick spawn points, they're all thrown in as coordinates and just have the script pick a random cord from the list, we could have thousands of possible spawn points easily and quickly
  7. Currently there is a big imbalance when it comes to vehicles. Cars despawn after just 2 hours or people park them in NCZs permanently. There is very little opportunity for people to picklock vehicles either for criminal use or to chop them. Finding a vehicle that is not in a NCZ sometimes seems like a jackpot. Please increase the timer on vehicles to somewhere around 6 hours before they despawn or have a list of vehicles that randomly spawn around the map that can be picklocked and hotwired. Overall it'll definitely add to people's experiences.
  8. It took 2 pages to get your actual suggestion clear though I'd advise you to make a fresh thread with what you're suggesting clearly and precisely
  9. So wait, you're asking for police vehicles to get flashing emergency lights that can be turned on and off?
  10. I'm not sure why that matters? You're in a situation because you didn't believe someone was infact a cop, or so you claim. No script feature apart from literal police sirens would convince you otherwise, but that negates the point of undercover cars. Have you asked the cop to show you his badge during that stop at all?
  11. If you're referring to the picture below, you didn't prove anything. You parked your vehicle infront of a static object to create the illusion of a siren? I'm not sure why you're making these things up now to prove a point.
  12. Because we're here to roleplay, if IRL a vehicle pulled up behind you, some guy comes out with bodyarmor and says to you that he's a cop and asks you for your license, without any aggression, do you assume he's going to carjack you? No, you wouldn't. Here's an unmarked police pickup No script related items here caused this situation.
  13. Hey guys, that would not be Metagaming. The State of San Andreas doesn't allow you to buy and install those objects. They're not offered for sale anywhere. So, by assuming someone who has a megaphone or the siren on top is a cop, you're not metagaming. Also, I'd like to point out that the point of undercover vehicles is to be undercover. That's their purpose. Nothing needs to change here scriptly. this is an entirely IC situation.

    PD RP

Hi Jay, I'm pretty certain we talked about this incident! It was when a deputy ran into a scene shouting "leave my friend" or something, wasn't it?

I thought you guys would've talked about this internally as well. It was done because this wasn't so much an IA report but could/should have been a player report. Admins were involved on my side and the footage reviewed etc Just to show you all that "IA does nothing" is not quite true, here are all IA reports SD has ever had and their outcomes. You can see that 41% of them result in SUS, which is SUSTAINED and means the reported deputy did in fact do something wrong and was punished for it. The other ones often say ACD which stands for actions could be different, which means that yes, they could've done it differently but weren't in direct breach of protocol. IA works

Hey, This is not entirely true. This incident you reported in February and then again in April was resolved with your faction leader OOCly, as it was an OOC report and involved both of our factions at the time and the deputy in question was sanctioned, it was after talking about it with your faction leader concluded.
  17. Welcome! Not sure which era of LSRP you played in, but I used to play there. Frank Buccalo, Frank Marchesi, Michael Bornstein, in Fiumano, original Valenti and PD
  18. You should go an read the first post once more, where he explains what he meant in greater detail.
