PD Realistic Aliasing.

who/how would we enforce this? lmao

does /alias give you superhuman face recognition/memory? it sure does.  Good thing everyone on the server has access to it.

I actually recommended the whole-sale removing of /alias a while back, but the idea of keeping it but nerfing it for PD is pretty funny.

i think the solution would be having two /alias systems. keep how we alias people right now, but it reverts to no name after a week or two. then have another /truealias that both parties have to agree to, to have it be permanent. Paying for cosmetic surgery should also reset everyone's alias for you.

I mean this has been a discussion for 3 years its probably fair to say this ship has sailed but still there are alot of suggestions here that might be worth trialling. The question is how?

The alias system is so old and such a core part of the server even tweaking it would be a massive deal. Like the UI/U menu update we are still hearing shit about that.

After reading stuff from all the way back in 2021 in here. I think the best solution to this would be to make it reset in a way.

Making it so if someone interacts with you a lot. They keep your name in their mind. While a quick stop and talk with huge breaks between. They forget it. And, if that person has such a unique look or personality. Such as Darius Bivins. You would know who it was even without alias and could re-alias them by just being near them. Making it more up to memory. And less up to a script carrying you

Tbh I going to say a -1 with this due to the fact I’ve interacted with alot of people, its extremely hard for me to remember or know who im talking with without the /alias as anyone who comes to me in game talking to me if i don’t have them alias I will respond like im confused asf as it is extremely hard for me to remember voices, as sometimes I speak with someone no matter who it is I would hear their voice then think i met them before when I have not met them before.

i feel this will prevent me from interacting people and do more rp with people.

I do see the up side of having aliases reset but I would say it should not just be for PD but all of the server members. This will help with people using it to catch criminals But having alias helps with RP as I will agree with Bala I would usually rp with people who I have aliased than not preventing some rp.

The suggestion so far is to make it reset for everyone after a set time. Unless they send a request to remember you permanently. Such as with a command like /palias

Making it so the person you're talking with has the option to let you remember them forever

I'm sorry, but the worse thing I've heard on the forum so far over the last 7 years. Is the almost 8 years old economy, being compared with the name remembering system.

As if you forgetting someone's name is equal to losing 7 years of assets.
