Old charges suddenly showing as outstanding

Issue/bug you are reporting: I CKed my character Zackariyah_Khan (Prev. Joel_Stevenson) in august, when it wasn't non-rp. I joined SD and my charges were cleared. As of my ban on 10/16 I was removed from SD. I went to see if I can reinstate today and saw I have charges dating to August 30th. These charges werent there in october when I was in SD, and I havent been on my char more than an hour (no crimes committed) since my ban. Whats the best route to take? PD cannot do anything they said since this is OOC/a bug. I believed this occured due to a recent MDC patch 

Expected behavior:  Charges should not be present

The MDC was very recently fixed IIRC.

Everyone that CKed the old way got their charges back from their "previous" character. There is currently no way to get them removed as LSPD can only remove active charges.

I have not served time yet. Who can I consult about having them removed?

@Xypint hello, thank you for your bug report. To clarify, a name change was always just a legal in-character name change and nothing else, the system at the time tracked criminal charges by name rather than by player id, which was bad practice that got changed after the mentioned server update.
