Eliza Posted Wednesday at 09:09 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:09 PM Who is the suggestion for? - Staff members who handle community suggestions, as well as players who actively use the forums to submit ideas and feedback. Why is the suggestion being made? - The suggestions section can sometimes become cluttered with duplicate or very similar suggestions, causing good ideas to get buried or overlooked. This idea came from seeing repeated suggestions and a lack of organization in forum discussions, making it harder for Senior Administration or Founders to efficiently review community feedback. What are the pros and/or cons of the suggestion? Pros - Keeps the suggestions section more organized and easier to navigate - Prevents duplicate suggestions from flooding the forums - Makes it easier for strong suggestions to gain traction and visibility - Creates a more efficient line of communication between the community and higher staff - Allows Senior Administration and Founders to focus on reviewing refined, organized suggestions instead of sorting through repeated threads Cons - Would require additional staff positions or responsibilities - Could slightly slow down suggestion approvals if the team becomes overloaded - Players may disagree with merged suggestions if they feel their specific wording or ideas were changed How should the suggestion be implemented? Create a dedicated “Suggestions Team” within staff whose primary responsibility is managing the suggestions section. Team members would: - Review incoming suggestions - Merge duplicate or near identical suggestions into one main thread - Archive low effort or spam suggestions - Help clean up or clarify suggestions when necessary - Forward high quality or highly supported suggestions to Senior Administration or Founders The team could also maintain statuses such as: - Under Review - Forwarded to Management - Accepted - Denied - Implemented Quote
Earl Mud Posted Wednesday at 09:19 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:19 PM Huge +1. It feels useless to make suggestions how it's handled currently. If several come in at once 1 takes off and the rest get buried and sometimes the 1 that takes off is due to back and forth arguments about the suggestion. As we know people are more likely to comment on disagreement then agreement so some suggestions that everyone agrees with will get 0 traction since no one comments but one that has controversy will have 4 pages of back and forth for weeks forcing immediate attention. 1 Quote
