imran Posted December 4, 2025 Report Posted December 4, 2025 (edited) Hey , i have a suggestion to remove the obligation of offroad tires to winter weather, because in real life there are snow tires that are not fat and they are way better for these conditions than offroad tires, right now it might looks good on normal and suvs cars, but for spurty cars it just make them looks ugly. Hector2Fingers Posted December 4, 2025 Report Posted December 4, 2025 -1. Most people in snowy climates put their sports cars away for the winter and drive vehicles that are appropriate for snow conditions.

Eliza Posted December 4, 2025 Report Posted December 4, 2025 I don’t think realism arguments have too much merit when we drink salty ocean water here 1
SquirtleSquad Posted December 4, 2025 Report Posted December 4, 2025 Just know that the snow tires that are in the Vehicle Mod Menu are not limited to just the one with chains. You can use the "Off-Road" tires category for them as well. It's just the ones with chains were added last year, and people dig their appearance. As long as you use an off-road tire, that'll count as snow tires.

Average USA citizen mind, bigger and heavy cars are better. in real life driving a ligher car in snow is better, as long as u sets good snow tires on it you are good to go. for heavy vehicles like trucks or buses they use chains on tires. 1 hour ago, Asbo said: in real life you dont respawn when you die, the server doesnt have to be 1 to 1 with real life. in real life, people try to make things better, offroad tires ain't made for snow, current rule only make sporty cars looks ugly. 1 hour ago, Eliza said: I don’t think realism arguments have too much merit when we drink salty ocean water here One unrealistic detail doesn’t cancel every other RP standard. 1 hour ago, SquirtleSquad said: Just know that the snow tires that are in the Vehicle Mod Menu are not limited to just the one with chains. If you can't respond to any member of this community respectfully, don't. There's no need to insult anyone. We have Snow Rules in place for fair balance, otherwise everyone would ignore it and drive around with sport tires year round. I come from an area where we get snow equal if not more than what the server portrays. I've driven on sport tires, and they perform terribly. When it gets colder, your tires get harder and stiffer. This causes them to lose grip and the ability to maintain traction. Snow tires are much softer and much easier to warm up, so they are able to maintain a grip through the snow. End all, we require snow tires, and this has been a thing for years. I do not see us changing this at all. Use Off-Road tires category and select one to add to your vehicle. 1
Ranger Posted December 4, 2025 Report Posted December 4, 2025 We will not be changing a rule that promotes semi-realistic behavior during a wintery season because some cars don't look good with off-road tires. Park your car and buy a Truck/SUV, or put on off-road tires for a couple weeks.
