WoodsKW Posted September 30, 2025 Report Posted September 30, 2025 I only raise this as reading through reports over recent weeks I have seen people told that certain phrasing is not valid demands and therefore they have been issued with DM punishments and PVP mentality etc but then seen other reports denied because demands were issued to the extent of "Hands or Die" i feel like in this area there needs to be some consistency, there needs to be minimum requirements that are met in order for them to be valid demands. For instance, state your gang name, give them an action and the consequences should they not comply. I have seen a report lately of someone being told to "get out" whilst entering a lab in a vehicle, this could mean leave the lab, this could mean exit the vehicle and the person died and lost their stuff due to poor demands being issued and people thinking that gives them rights to shoot at someone. There needs to be more clarity and some guidelines that must be met in order for the demands to be compliant and therefore giving permission to shoot the individual should they not comply Quote
Toxine Posted September 30, 2025 Report Posted September 30, 2025 honestly, "hands or die" is more than enough. Nobody wants to write a poem before shooting people. 90% of players already know even before demands that they are about to fight, demands are somewhat redundant in my opinion. As long as theres clear intent and previous interaction from both parties, I think shoot on sight should be allowed. If im at a lab, and a person circles 15 times, i shouldnt be giving him a heads up that im about to start shooting. Fuck around and find out. Quote
Eliza Posted September 30, 2025 Report Posted September 30, 2025 Demands alone hold very little weight. A visible threat should also be present, shouting demands from a bush from far away isn’t enough Quote
Demonmit1 Posted October 1, 2025 Report Posted October 1, 2025 This rule is here to make sure that when players fight each other in the game, it happens in a way that makes sense and is fair. Everyone involved should know why the fight is happening. Also, this rule helps protect players from being attacked for no good reason. Before any fight starts, there should be enough talking and/or action that leads up to it, so everyone knows why it's happening. This describes the intent of the DM rule. if someone's clear intent is to provoke you, and you warn them with clear intent to cause harm, and they ignore you. shoot them? I don't see how that is Deathmatching. I've been in those situations, and i never gave it a second thought, I just shoot, lol. Quote
