Remove combat MG mk2's and carbine mk2's / nerf them

i dont think i really need to explain myself on this one... 5 bullets and you are dead, maybe you are lucky enough to survive 1 second if you have 100 AP.

this gun either needs a massive nerf or a full removal from the server, way too op and literally no skillgap, just who gets to shoot who first and the other dies within seconds, and before it turns into a PDvsCrim debate, im talking MAINLY about CRIM SHOOTOUTS, theres no enjoyment in them anymore, they all end in 2 seconds and you dont even know where you got shot from...

let me know what yall think

A command needs to be added temporarily to refund the gun or something - im referring to the combat mgk2 classified as LMG, with the new crosshair changes people who already hoarded this gun you can't face check, you get melted in 2 seconds at most. Rifles are completely fine on the other hand.

massive +1, carbine mk2s maybe a tiny little nerf but then again if u nerf it. its just a mk1. dont think carbines are too much the issue but if we can get a /refund command for the Combat MG MKII that would be amazing and take it off cops also!

+1, this gun requires absolutely no skill to use and the TTK is far to quick, I have both used it recently and been on the other end of it and it is not fun in either instances.

Cops would lose it if no one had them. Honestly, I'd love to go into the F4 of PD and SD and remove them right now.

That said, statistically, the Combat MG2 is still heavily used in both crim vs. crim and crim vs. police situations. We saw the same thing with MK2 Shotguns, which we also aimed to phase out. Even when a weapon is removed from imports, people still access them from their massive stashes. Ideally, we’d wipe them from all inventories and issue a monetary refund, but it’s hard to predict how that would be received.

The only issue i forsee with "refunds" is people would still be losing money. Unless the only ones you had you took after fights or you were lucky enough to buy them "Tax" free. But overall i agree that the gun is overkill and unnecessary

It does feel like the server shit the bed with the weapons in circulation a little bit. Gunfights are over way too quick and both criminals/cops are rolling around with the weapons of mass destruction these days.

It's just how it's gone though, bigger guns get added so we have to use bigger guns in retaliation and so on.

@Osborn What I thought about maybe is setting a fixed date on when they'll be removed (for example, like August 1st), to give people the time to use what they have and at the point where they're removed, people could get a refund for the weapon if they still have one.

Obviously at that point, they'd be removed from F4 as well, never to return.

Honestly i would be all for all MK II guns being removed (minus the pistols/revolvers) but i think that ship sailed as i believe skins for them are sold in the f6 menu.

@Osborn I dont really think anyone would disagree or be unhappy with the removal of the MG mk2 considering literally every gang is getting sick of fighting against it, besides probably rooks considering they are the ones that have the most right now, noone enjoys a 3 second fight and if you look at any crim players logs you will only see them getting absolutley destroyed by combat mg mk2's, absolutley no enjoyment to this gun, and not even fun using it (other than getting alot of guns)

100% man i understand but you can see how many criminals have mentioned they would LOVE to remove mk2s, aslong as we can refund them its fine! would be so much more fun for everyone rather then getting melted before we can even shoot back ahahah

Hi,

I cop player.

I despise having to fight combat MG Mk2, and I only ever use the faction one to fight specifically against other Combat Mg Mk2s or situations where I'm likely to get ganked by 10 guys at once.

If it being enough to make me think it evens the playing field while I'm vastly outnumbered and similarly armed isn't worrisome, allow me to say what everyone in the thread has said as well:

The gun is too strong!

I mean it's either offer a refund for a price above import so everyone that had to pay tax for them isn't just losing hella money, and it'd be paying for the inconvenience of just, deleting a gun they fairly bought which was decided and implemented as an import.

Or, you just... wait? they were a very expensive gun and they will no longer ever be available again, that alone is enough to make people not want to take them out as much. As people lose them to cops their number is only going down which willl make them less and less common until no one brings them out anymore and they're sold as collectors/flex weapons. I don't believe there is that much of a surplus of them that they need to be forcefully deleted. Yeh, it's not the most fun right now, but give it time and it'll fix itself. (or maybe there's way more than I thought and this will take too long I dunno)

Agree 1000000% remove the Combat MG MK2, I have a fair few of them but I'd give them up if it meant they were completely gone from the server, they're stupid, OP and literally melt someone in 6 bullets from a 100 bullet clip lol

@Kon The only problem with having them only removed from imports, is that certain people have already hoarded the gun, without mentioning names, alot of people in rooks have 30+ of them in their stashes... and sure you might think "30 heavies, nothing crazy" but considering the gun is this op, those will last crazy long, and maybe even gain him more, and with crims having it and cops not having it, its gonna turn into another "unfair" or "unbalanced" situation between the 2, removing and refunding seems like the most obvious better choice for everyone

the issue with this is nobody gets the gun for the same price, how do you issue a refund correctly, at this point its just a wait till pd grab the rest on the street as they can no longer be imported
