  1. There are two topics that I feel are the largest contributing issues to criminals currently: Mentality & Content These two topics feed off of each other. There is a lack of new and exciting content for criminals, so criminals instead fall back to the only things they can find to do - grinding and PVP. Grind labs and banks to make money and upkeep their turfs so they can in turn import the weapons and kits they need to PVP. Content Problem: Lack of new content for criminals for extended periods of time leads to players becoming bored of stale and unbalanced content. Solution: Getting criminals new content they can participate in that is fun, new, and exciting rather than the same boring stuff they have been doing for years. This is primarily a development topic, but the staff team could help bridge the gap by providing events for criminals with something different than the same usual grind - both FM/meridian and events team could work on this. Additionally, some content such as chopping, store robberies, house robberies, etc need a rework/rebalance to make them more worthwhile to do. Mentality Problem: I've heard from so many different criminal players that one of the biggest things that demotivates them from wanting to participate in crim RP is the toxic behavior and report mentality from criminals. The majority of PVP situations seem to end up on the forums as reports for people to try and get a refund for their items or to get OOC revenge against someone they have an issue with to try and get them punished. Additionally, IC shit talk is mostly fine and has its place, but shit talking someone to the degree some people do when they injure them in a gun fight before finishing them doesn't need to be happening. Also toxic behavior such as shooting out vehicle tires of people that died in a fight. Solution: Refunds should only be given for cheating or server side bug issues. It sucks to lose items to a rule break, but its better for mentality and long term server health to just remove this possibility. Shooting out someone's tires when they were already killed in a fight or taking shit talking to an extreme for someone who you have already injured and about to finish should be considered an OOC toxicity rule break. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Other smaller issues that should be addressed: Swimming Problem: Criminals too often resort to swimming either away from other criminals in a fight or from police in a chase. Between the terrible desync or lack of any counterplay to this essentially free escape most of the time, this strategy creates problems and lack of proper RP interaction. Solution: When engaged in a fight or chase, NO ONE should be allowed to swim under any circumstance. Zergging/Numbers Problem: The meta for gangs is to recruit as many top tier PVP players and as many numbers as they can to overwhelm other gangs or police where ever possible. This pulls focus away from proper RP and fun and to min maxing the possibility of winning any situation with sheer numbers. This also creates complaints about police bringing too many numbers as a reaction. This becomes significantly worse during off-times, either early morning or late at night when criminals take advantage of low police numbers and constantly ambush them for a free win, but won't do the same during peak server times. Solution: Limit the number of players that can be involved in any hostile situation and rework/remove the backup rules to let smaller groups work together and ally with one another. New Player Experience Problem: The new player experience is terrible for new criminal players. There is no tutorial to show them how to do anything or how the mechanics work of any given criminal activity. On top of this, most gangs have no incentive to help new players or bring them in due to putting themselves at risk of the newer player breaking rules or being inexperienced at PVP. Solution: Scripts, tutorials, guides, etc are needed for new players, mostly on the criminal RP side. Something that will show them how the mechanics of at least basic criminal scripts work (ATMs, Stores, House robberies, chopping, labs, etc). FM should find ways to encourage/reward gangs for taking in and helping new players get involved in the server. VIP/Prison Time Problem: There is a HUGE gap in prison times between someone with debt and no VIP vs a player with high end (diamond/royal) VIP. Some players I've recently seen go into prison with 300 minutes of prison time, and others that have max time (180 minutes with no debt) get dropped down to around 100 minutes regardless of how many charges they received. Solution: Rebalance prison times and fix VIP so it doesn't reduce all consequences to nothing. War System/Alliance Problem: The war system is a great way to provide unique rewards and interesting ways to expand gang conflict, however the system is broken and doesn't work properly in its current state. Solution: Fix the war system properly by adjusting the way points are earned and lost, minimize potential for abuse for points, and provide set times when the war is active so people don't try to abuse the system during low-activity times, such as early morning or late night. Create an alliance system so gangs can officially work together and we can remove the backup rules. Edit: Not everything has to rely on the developers creating a script to make things work. FM could manage an alliance/war system in the mean time perfectly fine. A temporary system where illegal faction leaders meet IC with a member of meridian could occur to declare they want official alliance status with another faction, or they want to go to war and FM could have a location where they show the alliances between factions and could alter the backup rules around that. Same with the war system...FM could create policies around the scripted war system or even help facilitate their own war system by giving clearly laid out objectives for each faction in the war to complete to work towards winning the war and each faction could simply provide screenshots or recordings to FM as proof of their victories/objective completions. Sure, not as clean or simple as a script, but its better than nothing and would provide far more content to criminals. Lore Enforcement Problem: There is currently a lack of lore enforcement with criminal factions. Street gangs are driving around in super cars and using combat MGs. Racing gangs tend to get involved in major PVP conflict and have heavy military weaponry. There is 0 gang identity other than wearing a certain color or kind of clothing. Gangs should have to form relationships to get what they need. Solution: With the fleet system now in place, criminal factions should be forced to use only fleet vehicles that match their lore. Imports should be tailored to that factions lore. A racing gang should be allowed to get ahold of better vehicles. A street gang should get AKs and tac SMGs. A mafia gang should get carbine rifles. A drug based gang should get access to the best drug materials. Enough min-maxing and everyone using all the meta things non-stop. Every gang shouldn't be the catch all and have access to everything. Drugs Problem: Drugs are severely imbalanced and provide significant advantages with no downsides. Criminals can take drugs that are easy and cheap to obtain to give them healing, speed boosts, recoil reduction and damage reduction, as well as other side benefits such as easier pick locking. After they consume 3 or 4 different types of drugs with a simple click, they can just take methadone to remove all negative side effects from drugs. Another min-maxing tactic used for PVP and to gain advantage over others that don't have access to these absurd tools. Solution: Remove steroids. Period. They are stupidly strong and provide the biggest single advantage of anything. Criminals cannot complain about police tasing them if they choose to abuse steroids that allow them to run twice as fast on foot with 0 counterplay. Rebalance the other drugs to be more reasonable in their capability and only provide MINOR advantages rather than the massive advantages they have now. Make drugs have more negative side effects. Methadone should only be obtainable from LSEMS and no where else and it should remove both negative AND positive effects of drugs so it cannot be abused and it instead should be used as a proper medical tool to help someone. Guns Problem: Military grade weaponry has no place in a RP server. Its stupid as hell to see both police and gang members running around Los Santos with a Combat MG or a SCAR. Everyone had way more fun when the basic crim kit was a pump + .50 or the occasional AK and the basic cop kit was a carbine rifle at best for SWAT and SMGs/pumps for most basic cops. Solution: Remove the majority of heavy weapons and get us back to something that actually makes more sense for a RP server rather than a PVP arena. Weapons should be wiped from EVERYONE and we should start fresh going into FiveM so that gang lore can be applied and enforced properly since most long time crims already have stashes with hundreds of guns. Ramming Problem: The new meta amongst criminals is ramming enemy vehicles to either stall them and hop out with superior numbers or ram a car into someone that has just hopped out of their car to rag doll them and damage their armor/HP. Its a disgusting win mentality meta that needs to stop. Solution: ANY ramming that's done to gain an advantage in PVP should result in rule break punishments. PVP Activity Problem: One of the main topics that commonly gets brought up when criminal RP is discussed is PVP. PVP is inherently fine and has its place in RP with gang beef or criminals trying to escape police. It's obvious that the majority of players we have left here enjoy PVP in one form or another. The problem comes up when someone treats ECRP as a PVP arena rather than a RP server. Solution: We shouldn't be trying to eliminate PVP, but rather help ensure it happens in the right way and for the right reasons. The event team and FM should take a more proactive approach to give players an outlet to PVP and have fun. Host more server events that may result in PVP conflict. If there are concerns that it may impact players that don't want to be involved in the PVP, do it in an isolated area such as Cayo or up north in the county where there won't be as many 3rd party players. Enough of the DJ & raffle events that do more harm than good for the server and do more events people ACTUALLY want to give people that PVP outlet in a controlled manner. Do a money truck heist. Do a battle royale event on Cayo. Do some comped cartel drops. It gives fun activity for both crims and cops. Another solution could be designated temporary PVP zones (runescape wilderness type shit). Maybe open up a lab and admin staff can declare it as an active PVP zone for a few hours where anyone that enters that space is subject to being shot on sight. Could even declare Cayo as an active PVP zone for a period of time. Expectation is people bring their own kits and just fight so it requires minimal server staff oversight. Admins could just place down markers at all entrances as a warning its an active PVP zone. Drug Labs Problem: Drug labs are imbalanced. Far too much money making capability compared to all other activities. It can be difficult for smaller gangs or newer/solo players to even have a piece of the pie when it comes to drug labs because they get immediately robbed or overwhelmed by larger zerg gangs. Solution: Rebalance all criminal money makers so labs aren't the only option to make good money. Properly set up a good rotation of labs with more of them actively open so people have options and won't be as salty when police shut down a lab. While ideally its eventually a server script, in the mean time, meridian/FM staff should allow an option to allow a criminal to pay for temporary lab access. Maybe a per hour fee to keep a currently closed lab open. Better labs should cost more to pay to open. Maybe other payment options should exists as well besides just cash. FM could run an event for a gang and as a reward, give them the option to open up any lab they want for a bit. Maybe they could request payment in car chop parts instead of cash. Endless possibility.
  2. Curb boosting or driving on the metal rail doesn't provide the same kind of speed boost or advantage that wheelying does. There are some bikes that doing a wheely will boost you from < 200 km/hr to going easily 240 km/hr.
  3. I already made some comments on the other MD suggestion posted recently, but I'll throw in my take here on the suggestion and some of the responses. Firstly, I've spent the past 5+ years in LSPD, all of which has been in SWAT and I can tell you from experience, the reason why police will often self transport injured officers is because in most instances, its the safe and required option. When we come across an injured officer, its usually because they were shot down in an ambush situation. It makes no sense to sit in the middle of the dangerous area waiting to be shot ourselves to try to rescue an injured officer. We always try to prioritize getting the injured police out of the area before anything or anyone else and the best way to do that is get them into our vehicle as quickly as possible and rush them to the hospital to avoid getting ourselves hurt or killed in the process for what is still likely an active shootout area. As for treating either officers or criminals on scenes after a situation, as others have already stated, LEOs are unable to use the /stabalize command if there are more than 2 medics on duty. The script prevents it. The procedure is always for LEO to reach out over radio to MD and ask for their assistance. If there are either no medics on shift or they have said they are unavailable, then LEO will self treat and self transport, otherwise, we wait for medics to arrive whenever possible. If you find that PD/SD are still self transporting despite MD being available, escalate it to your MD command team and have them speak with PD/SD command about the issue to ensure it doesn't keep happening. I agree with others that a medical script would be nice to see. I think it would help attract interest in the LSEMS faction if the RP was more interesting to perform and had more benefits for players. I also believe the black market doctors did (and still does) actively hurt MD as a faction. It shouldn't be as cheap as it is with so many good benefits. I don't mind criminals have the option of a black market doctor in instances where they are injured and have illegal items on them, but I believe it should only be available as a reward to criminals factions of specific faction tiers to show good RP has been rewarded, but it should also cost more than normal legal treatment to ensure that MD assistance is always incentivized over other options that bypass MD as a faction. Lastly, I agree with what Ash said above that MD should take active steps to be posted up waiting in the actual hospital waiting for people to come in. If there was a medic conveniently available in the lobby when someone injured got dropped off and could be a free alternative to get healed over having to see the NPC behind the counter and pay $3k for it, I am certain a lot of people would take that option for the cost of a bit of RP. I also believe MD should have script capability for AMU to provide further in depth treatment to heal recovery and wellness rather than only HP. Perhaps this could go with the solution 3 mentioned in the suggestion to allow hospital beds to serve as a solution for this feature. There is no reason why black market doctors should be able to fix wellness, but LSEMS can't at an actual hospital.
  4. There may be some misunderstanding as to how the commands work for law enforcement. The server script DOES prevent LEOs from using the /stabalize command if there are more than 1-2 MD on duty and they are only able to use /cpr to give the injured person a bit more time to live, so what you are suggesting above already exists. LEOs are required to call for MD if any are on shift to assist if someone gets injured. The only reason for police to self transport anyone is if there are either no MD on shift or MD have said they are unavailable and given the go-ahead to self transport. If that is not happening and you see law enforcement continuing to self transport even with MD on shift and available, I recommend either escalating it to MD high command to bring to LEO command attention, or submitting IA reports or LFM complaints as needed to address the issue (whichever path MD command prefer that you take). The above is of course entirely for law enforcement interaction with MD. I'm not sure what can really be done for the criminal side if anything. There will always be times where criminals will opt to trunk their own people to avoid getting caught with illegal items. The addition of black market doctors certainly didn't help with MD interaction on the server, but there isn't much to be done about that apart of putting in suggestions to make changes to that system to get MD some RP back.
  5. This suggestion has been implemented. The phone has been overhauled with nearly all the apps above built in.
  6. I support the intent behind the suggestion and it would be good for people to provide positive feedback to other players' good RP, but this setup would be open to potential abuse. If you offered credits for this, then someone could just keep doing /goodRP on their friends to give them free stuff without providing anything of value.
  7. @Timmaayy and @Ranger would be the best points of contact for this concept for content creation management and the video contests.
  8. Thank you for the suggestion, but we won't be using these here.
  9. This isn't needed in my opinion. We have bags and crates that already serve this purpose.
  10. From what I am gathering from this suggestion, it sounds like the OP has more of an issue with the server staff ruling on when /stabalize and /cpr commands are allowed to be used and the concept of death RP. I will clarify a few things here so that everyone is on the same page for the current rules within the server for these commands. Death RP is currently NOT allowed per a ruling made by server staff. A player may not RP their own death with /me and /do RP during medical RP. A player MAY RP complications, ask/request for more in depth medical RP at the hospital with MD if they are available to do so, but strictly asking to be allowed to die is not allowed. There may be instances where a player may naturally die from the script if they are not treated quickly enough, but that should happen naturally within the RP situation and cannot be forced. The /CPR command can be used by any on duty government faction player or anyone with a BLS license. /cpr can only be used after some form of positive medical treatment has been applied. Example: a player has 3 gunshot wounds, one to the chest, one to the arm, and one to the leg. The cop medically treats the gunshot wound to the chest by cleaning it out and covering it to attempt to slow the bleeding and clot the blood since they deem that to be the most life threatening. Although no treatment has been applied to the leg or arm GSW, /cpr may be used at this point because some kind of positive treatment to slow the bleeding has been applied. This command extends the current available HP of the injured player, but the injured player will continue to bleed and their HP drop as normal. The intent with this command/RP is meant to provide extra time for proper stabilization RP or transport to the hospital to be fully revived. The /stabilize command may be used by any on duty member of MD, or law enforcement faction members if there are 2 or less medics on duty. If there are more than 2 medics on duty, the stabilize command is locked out from law enforcement and the script will prevent them from using it. The /stabilize command may be used after injuries are described/made known to the player providing medical treatment. The command has an animation it goes through and a script timer it works on before the player is finished being stabilized. The injured player is still able to bleed out and die during the /stabilization animation/timer. The player using /stabilize is still expected to RP all medical treatment during and after the stabilize animation/timer to ensure the injured player would RPly be stable enough for transport to the hospital. Once the timer is finished and /stabilize is complete, the injured player's HP drain will pause and they will remain at their current HP and won't be able to die from the injury script. Based on what I've read above, the OP takes issue with the concept of Death RP not being allowed in the server and the way the current script works. Police do not make the decision to force you to stay alive (as long as they properly RP with you and are not using forceful commands such as /cpr and /stabilize without the necessary prior RP). Police/medics simply follow the script and the guidance they have been given by server staff to not allow death RP and use the /cpr and /stabilize commands once the necessary conditions have been met to allow their use. As others have already said above, if you find that a player is abusing forceful commands and not meeting the pre-requisite conditions for their use as described above, you can report them for powergaming.
  11. Suggestion is to add another impound lot to Sandy Shores. Currently if a criminal is released from DOC, they have to travel all the way to either Paleto or the city to get a vehicle out. If there were another impound in Sandy, this would allow criminals to more easily get to their cars close to the prison. This would also benefit police and mechanics as post shootout situations where law enforcement need to impound many vehicles can take a long time to travel between the situation area and the impound on the edges of the state.
  12. Added search bar to faction loadout section.
  13. Merged duplicate suggestions.
  14. Suggestion implemented as of May 7th.
  15. A combination of both a favorites options and search bar would be a large quality of life improvement. The same search bar for the faction clothing management menu would also be great since the current format forces you to scroll through all custom uniforms in the faction to find the one you want to edit, which for PD is hundreds.
