  1. A big concern from this entire thread is many people having the mindset of "defeating cops." Respectfully, you aren't supposed to roleplay as a criminal character to wipe PD. Yes there will be deaths from situations or the occasional large scale gunfight if there's an operation and believe me, from PD's side at least, we're fine with not winning. Some of you may not be able to comprehend that because we're W mentality drones in your eyes, but that's the truth of it. Maybe it's me but criminals shouldn't have the desire of hunting cops, attempting to wipe them all or bait them in the early hours of the morning because they know there aren't many around, for a small dopamine hit. Isn't the whole point of being in a gang to try and build it up and become the strongest one around, meaning you fight other gangs to establish dominance? LEO's need criminals on the server and as Bala mentioned above, as a member of PD Command, we do restrict a lot of things from PD and take action when we see dumb stuff happen. It's not us vs the server and believe me, if you've even given PD a chance, you would know that. There have been well known gang leaders / co-leaders that have joined and thoroughly enjoyed the experience as an LEO and changed the perspective on their criminal alt. Criminals need to do better and accept responsibility. How do we fix things? This won't happen but I feel it's an idea worth mentioning - A fix that would improve the criminal side is to allow them more freedom outside of the city. With the active player count diminishing day by day, I feel we can no longer justify having two LEO departments, plus GSB on top of that. If there was some sort of compromise where PD and SD merged (this won't happen, just an idea), we could allow more gang fights and lab activity up north where the gangs operate without cops patrolling those areas. Furthermore, it would increase the amount of activity in the city by bringing down all LEO and legal factions down south. Even with a lower amount of players online, it would feel more populated as the RP hotspots are all in one condensed area. This isn't to say that Cops couldn't patrol the highways still or venture up to Paleto, but the juro is open a lot at the moment anyway with a lot of units up North coming down to find activity. Finally, if you're upset with the taser or the use of batons, look inwards because some of you people responding to this thread have been tased more than 5 times in a single foot pursuit and never RP'd the effects. Tasers should NOT be deployed from vehicles and that is in our internal policies so if you see it, please bring it up to someone in PD Command so it can be dealt with. We want things to be fair so speaking on behalf of Command+ in PD, we will get something done about it but we can't if you don't bring it up to us and instead rage on the forums. It's easy to be negative, making a change requires patience and a small amount of effort.
  2. In the F4 menu we used to be able to click a header, "name" for example, and it would list all members of that faction in alphabetical order. It worked like this for every section and it would be really helpful if it was added back.
  3. I've just spent a while with someone trying to setup the same race track over at Garbage, starting at Cayo bridge, and that was incredibly painful. Even after we figured out the exact dimensions that would work, the whole system about inviting yourself and then accepting your own invitation for a race just seems unnecessary. Moreover, unless I'm informed incorrectly, I wasn't able to find an option in which I could share the race I had created. I really like the idea of the racing script but as it stands right now, it's not really useable unless you're doing it alone for a one off race and it's all a bit too complicated to create a race. As I said in my other recent suggestion, I have no idea how coding works, but I would love to see a more improved racing script that is easy to create races on, easy to start a racing session where you don't need to invite someone every time, and where you can share the race track or make it public.
  4. This may have already been suggested but I know I speak on behalf of everyone in PD and probably SD too, it would be insanely appreciated to get a search bar in the uniforms section of the faction loadouts. I have no idea how coding works but I can't imagine it is too much of a task to get something like that setup in a reasonably quick timeframe. As someone who is reasonably high up in PD, there are so many uniforms, literally hundreds if not thousands, and a simple search bar would go a long way as a quality of life improvement.

  6. I heard from other people on the staff team it doesn't go into the treasury?
  7. As far as I am aware, the labour prices don't go to either the mechanics or the treasury of the Mechanic faction and it is just a money sink hole. Players pay enough taxes on their salary as it is, I think if someone has grinded hard enough to get the money together for expensive vehicle modifications, they shouldn't be punished with a potential large sum added on top.

  9. These examples are baffling. If you're referencing a 1 second L dance as your example then we really don't have much to worry about do we. That's more of a snowflake issue than anything. It was me that did the L dance (IC action) and immediately cancelled it as I felt I wasn't being realistic as a cop in that moment, that's a small lapse of judgement in the moment. Then the second point about mocking someone who crashed, there needs to be context because what if the evading individual has done 5 car swaps in 240 vehicles, just killed cops or attempted an ambush. Of course you're going to be met with verbal backlash when you get caught. Furthermore, a big part of this server is understanding the difference between IC and OOC, if someone mocks you OOCly then fair enough report it, but how are players interacting with you for the first time to know how much you're struggling mentally or socially? A real example of something that needs addressing (from a long term LEO main) would be the ability for us in LEO factions to /delcruiser and spawn one instantly to re-join a pursuit whilst the evading vehicle doesn't get the luxury of refueling or getting a vehicle repair. I've started to break off in a high speed vehicle when I need a repair and actually go to Benny's to give the evading player a chance to escape or go and refuel at a gas station instead of just spawning a new one in seconds. Yes, it is the community that needs to change and LEO's will do their very best, we already are. Alternatively, criminal characters need to step up and not resort to /b at every half opportunity.
  10. Thank you! +1 from me, would remove a lot of toxicity. If it's not fully removed then at least adding a cooldown would help out a lot. Keep /pm but /b is not a necessity to the server, just something people have become overly reliant on.
  11. It's fine to have an opinion but stooping to insults isn't really necessary. This is an RP server believe it or not, where people interact ICly. If you wish to talk about OOC things then why would you use an IC server as your main means for it? It genuinely doesn't make any sense. You could also remove /pm but I believe in keeping it for the uses of people requesting to save POV or have clarity on a situation that may have just happened. The use of /b being a social aspect isn't a great argument for keeping it, like I said before, it's a huge issue at the moment as people complain as soon as they're caught by PD or shot by another gang "/b HELLO?" etc.
  12. You would still be able to communicate via /pm for OOC means. People don't use /b to have casual OOC chat and if anything, you're playing an RP server, you're on the server to play a character not have a chat that can happen on Discord so I find that argument to be very poor. The main issue with /b is that it has become a common breeding ground for toxicity and people spamming it when something doesn't go their way, trying to pause a scene which only Admins have the authority to do. Of course it would require the staff team to be actively in game to handle /reports, but there's actually no real need to have /b and many servers operate just fine without it. If not fully removing it, as I suggested further up, there could be a cooldown so people focus on the IC interactions, not use the server as an excuse for an OOC group chat or alternative for VRChat. "common sence amigo !!! XDXD" - yeah, okay..
  13. Discord or have moderators+ the only users with access to /b and they can announce something at an event. There's also lifeinvader for links, it doesn't all need to be in /b, a lot of servers operate well without it and ours is usually used for trash talk. Perhaps if we weren't to fully remove it, there could be a cooldown introduced where you can send 1 /b message every 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes etc. I think the ultimate goal is to be able to have RP interactions without people constantly complaining in /b.
