  1. Believe me, I am not taking any offense. Just curious why you would put down a simple -1, while I have left 2 suggestions myself, the removal of most of the rules, or a rework of them as soon as possible. Seems like you agree with one of them. So a bit odd that you would say "Your suggestion is to change the rule to make it "Just don't allow joint freqs, but allow the rest" while that's not my only suggestion. We should try and work something out.
  2. I've read your post, and In summary I quite agree, not on all points but the majority, it just needs a major rehaul. A new set of rules need to be made regarding this, written down in black and white.
  3. -1? Nice response. -1 about what? As you clearly understand this rule, explain it to me please.
  4. I wish, I think (thanks due to unclearity) this counts as ruleplaying, as it would "bypass" the rule.
  5. Why is there such an urge to suppress natural criminal roleplay? Every gang starts small, some succeed and some don't, what's the problem with that? This argument makes no sense what so ever anyways, as "bullying" of other criminals can be done regardless, you don't need multiple gangs to "bully" a smaller gang, gangs can do this on their own. This rule doesnt protect that at all. I dont think if we removed this rule, you would see this happening ingame.. Right, exactly. No joint-freq, I agree. Supplying guns is a valid "soft power" support, but is it really? What if both sides have enough weapons, or are able to supply themself? Wow, really cool diplomacy, trading guns. Wow. I understand that as an officer yourself, you only see us as a "TDM" groups. Of course you do, thanks, but backstage there is a lot of RP happening which I'm not sure you're aware of. Believe me, we are not here only to clap, but this rule in general makes us avoid grouping up with creates roleplay.
  6. The gang backup rule... how to start? The actual rule Its a weird rule, with no clear boundaries. What can be done? What can't be done? Its all pretty unclear. Some things are obviously easy to follow, such as the joint-freq rule. Well, that's the only rule within the ruleset that is clear, for all people. Now next to that rule, there are plenty of unwritten, and ill explained rules that are all in a shady area. For example you can't call for allied (gang) backup in an ongoing situation. Can you call someone ( a friend ) and call him alone for backup though? Can you roll around with other gangs, and call backup then? You are directly involved, so why wouldn't you be able to call backup? With so many questions, how is this a permanent fix for an issue? It seems like this was a temporary fix for an issue that was happening a few weeks back, where criminal organizations would group up in massive groups to fight off their (grouped up) enemies and police officers. Due to it looking like a temporary fix, its mashed up together, with no regard to how it would work out ingame. This might look good on paper (the rule) but it just isn't. This was a temporary issue, which could've been easily resolved by adding the rule that no joint-freq's could be used no more. The effect on Criminal Roleplay This rule has massive limitations to roleplay. I have been in this server for years now, and I have been part of crim rp since I joined the server, and I have always loved the criminal diplomacy. The rule makes people ruleplay, thinking about the rule constantly. Diplomacy, like I said is still going on, but it really does change the dynamic of the server. Fighting is of course less RP, but its still a bonding experience, which is restricted ALOT now. Why have diplomacy, or gang RP, if you cant even work together as a criminal organization? Smaller gangs relied before on bigger gangs to protect them, and in return those smaller gangs would trade or support the bigger gang for their protection. This is all thrown out of the server now. Small gangs have it really rough, and are on their own. People get called multiple times a day asking if they can support a backup call, which they have to make up a stupid excuse to not breach the rule. I would say this is totally not RP, this is not organic at all. Suggestion I would suggest that either the rule's get described point by point, an actual rule. I would not be for this, but at least the boundaries are known. The best option would be to adjust the current "rule" to ban any form of joint-freq's and thats it, get rid of the rest. The other rules are just a mess. They create forum wars, where sides post constant reports on people and its creating OOC hate/toxicity. I am not picking any side, and not taking a biased view. This is just my view upon the server dynamic. If you feel like how the rule should be adjusted, or should be put in place, I'd like to discuss that.
  7. I like that most people here are saying that its "realistic" now, and its only good for the community. I dont agree, as its been here for so long, why was it allowed on the server, and for so long? Why is there not a "crack-down" of overpowered, and unrealistic vehicles? Why is it focused ONLY on the drag? Alright. Make it realistic then, increase the max speed as the drag realistically doesn't go 200, but more. I think its fair if the current bike is kept like this, the max speed should increase, or just have the "realistic" features adjusted.
  8. I bet you bought the drag for its appearance, who ya' fooling
  9. Thank you by telling me how I should use the bike... This is a discussion about why the drag has been dramatically changed. You keep on saying OP/everyone wants to have it, is this bad? Why is this bad? There are many vehicles which are "OP", including PD. And its only logical people want to buy the best if they have enough money, this isn't weird, ya' know? So you think the changes made are perfect, and should stay in place?
  10. While I share the same idea for some of the things mentioned, its obvious that I dont feel the same about PD not being able to compete. PD has gotten many ways of countering high speed vehicles. You say that if you see a drag its game over, for criminals its a chopper, or a high speed unit. I think the drag is supposed to be one of the 'high-end' vehicles that would compete with the counterparts. Currently, nothing can counter PD, that is "reasonably" priced. I agree that tweaking it is a good idea, I am not asking for a total rollback, but the drastic turning radius is for example way to much to handle. hah
  11. Yeah right every crim got 2.5 ready, and everyone is using them. Only crims that have been alot in the city are driving them.... its rediculous for you to say everyone drives em'
  12. Owh, how did nothing get changed regarding I would like it or not? Do you think a character thinks its the same bike the bought before? No, I don't think so. He bought a high performance bike, which is not the case now. Like I said above, people buy a vehicle because its good, yes, its good, but so are many other vehicles that are good. Every vehicle has its drawbacks, the drag too.
  13. Dont think alot of people started to abondoning their vehicles for the drag, as the drag was around 2.5mil before the changes. It was only the long time criminals that could afford it. Those people that have played on the server for a long time are being punished now. People that want to drive a street gang related vehicle would drive it anyways, regardless if the drag is op or not. I dont understand this point. Those cars are never going to be "competitive" anyways and they will never be used as an ideal car, they are used to make a theme, to rolpelay. And this is good, but some people, including me dont want to RP as a street gang, and want to drive performance vehicles. Obviously you buy a vehicle because you like it, its fast, I like it. And like you said, changing this wont change too much, something else will be the quickest or the best. I hope you're not surprised that criminals are driving high performance cars... They are needed to outrun cops, which a criminal needs to have.. thats why criminals IRL dont drive a lowrider in chases...
  14. As you say, Eclipse RP is of course not 1:1 to real life, and I believe this isn't a case about realism. I think when the bike was added, the admin team knew what a drag bike was... this has never been a problem in the many, many and many years of the drag being in the game. Now, it seems like people are saying its because of realism that the drag is rendered useless, but isnt it a bit late to say that the changes are for realism? And yes, im all about for a realistic approach, but I just don't get how this is being handled. We were told that: "Adjusted hakuchou2 handling, it will now burnout a bit more when accelarating from 0 and the braking speed has been lowered." A bit more? I would say a ton more. You cant even go up ANY incline (EDIT: This might have changed? Not yet tested). And the same goes for turning radio, a little bit? No, not a little bit, a HUGE amount. Why does everything need to be so drastic? Has the drag been tested before these updates where made? On paper, the changes might be good, but in the server they ain't.
  15. The Drag A vehicle used for its speed, and handling. It seems like its one of the best vehicles, it was at least. What's the reason for the drastic change in the behavior of the bike? I don't know. Seems like its only hatred. I don't get how a vehicle so expensive, and such an important asset for many people ICly, is changed OOCly. Its seems like there is a group of people that think that the drag is too overpowered, and have taken this action to try and limit the people using it, or at least making the vehicle useless. The turning radius of the vehicle has been changed today, and its really bad. You can't even make a small turn. If these changes are killing the use of the bike. Crim Consequences The drag had many benefits, which gave criminals a slight upper hand in chases and mobility. The only vehicle I felt comfortable driving was a drag, for its mobility. It seems like the whole reason for nerfing the drag has to do with nerfing crim's and their chances of escape. Cops cant really do anything against a drag, and it seems like the only reason for the current nerf has to do with this. So, I hope that anyone can clarify what the exact reasons are to destroy the best bike?

  18. Date and time (provide timezone): 21-12-2020 2:20AM CET Character name: Benjamin_Specht Issue/bug you are reporting: I bought a vehicle at low end, after relogging I couldn't get to move it. Seems like it gets static, just as it is when its for sale (not movable). Expected behavior: Functioning vehicle, after purchase. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Buying a vehicle at low end, relogging or going driving away from it. Can't drive it no more. Another person at low-end had the same problem, he cant move his vehicle either. Vehicle license plate number*: 9SSY4VV2

    The Goblins

Benjamin Specht, saying goodbye to his longtime friend. Months have passed... People have left the city People have came into the city The city has changed. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Memories about the city from months back, those are the only things Benjamin Specht knew. Rumours about the disbanding of Los Zetas hit him hard, and although he was away during the time of the disbanding, he heard of it later when he returned into the city. Los Zetas is no more. It was Benjamins first gang, being in it for almost 2 years. Those 2 years were extraordinary. Wars were fought, wars were never lost. The Return Benjamin has returned into the city, driving around mindlessly. He was exploring the city, new gangs, new drug dealers... all of the good shit. Many new things to do too, it was interesting to see people making a living other ways than before. After driving around a bit, he notices the goblins masks... Bells began to ring. It was the Goblins, ex-gang members of Los Zetas. The people were long time members of Los Zetas, just like Benjamin. This made him interested, getting in contact again with some of zeta's ex members. He had a good connection with them and didn't hesitate to reach out. Benjamin with the Goblins, back in the day After talking to multiple Goblins and "CC", he was interested. The Goblins seemed like a good family and cared for each other. Spending the days with the Goblins, he reconfirmed his beliefs. It was a good family with good work ethics. People of many backgrounds were involved within the gang, which he liked too. A meeting was made. After Benjamin joined the gang as a trial, he spend the week with the boys. ___ Members were called over to speak about multiple topics. One of them were promotions, members where promoted, including Benjamin. Benjamin got offered his previous job in Los Zetas, recruiter. A job he always loved, of course he would accept this position. Driving around the city with pre-prospects and talking to them is what he missed, maybe even the reason he came back into the city... To experience the recruitment process again. Recruitment The recruitment of a new pre-prospect Work started immediately, structured recruitment was added to the the recruitment process. Recruits were rolling in, and we as the recruitment team has made sure to filter them out, some are good... some are bad. Talking to the new members gave joy to Benjamin, he gets to know new people very day and tests them. Tests them hard. Benjamin and some goblins posing up, after having concluded a recruits interview. Weeks have passed since Benjamin joined the Goblins, and he's been liking it a lot. Good bunch of friends that care for each other. We're growing, we're working. The Goblins Captain Benjamin
